Chas -- thanks for the Knopfler link :) :) When I clicked on it, I saw a clip mentioning him and EmmyLou Harris. That reminded me of a DYNO-MITE version of Luxery Liner that Emmy Lou once did, with one of my favourite fiddlers of all time -- Sam Bush. In that clip -- you see a fiddler totally in tune with his instrument. Searched -- and lo and behold ~~~~~~~~~ I FOUND IT!!! There is an awesome bass duel in here. Check, check, check it out!! ;)

Hmphhhhh!!! Now I'm REALLY missing it!! :( Am naturally bow legged (comes with the territory of FiddlePicking -- don'tcha know?), (bow --- fiddle, bow --- leg. Nemmermind --- bad joke.) and can ride a horse with no *after-shock* at all. The first and last time I rode a horse was at a summer camp I worked at, in Bemidji, Minney-soda (Camp Thunderbird --- 1971), and we went to get the horses (from where they were wintered), at a farm 10 miles away, and rode them to the camp, before the *camp-ees* showed up. We were trucked to the farm, where saddles were installed by trained professionals (who really did know the meaning of SIT till you drop), and we were expected to ride them babies back to the camp. Did I say *installed*?? Yep, they were in stalls when the saddles were put on them. And even though there was some *broke back mountin* going on -- It was nothing like the movie!! The horse I was on, had a colt comfortably trotting in front, and Mama was happy. The ride was easy, and steady paced. We travelled county roads -- so the going was easy. Until we reached Camp ThunderBird. Once we got to the trails that led to the horse camp -- something spooked Junior, who took off like a bat-outta-hell. Mama was worried, and took off in pursuit -- with me hanging on for dear life. Mama was frantic -- and though there was no speedometor -- she was moving FAST, and though I am tall and used to ducking in doorways -- being on a horse, and ducking for low-hanging branches on trees at (who know how many MPH), was disconcerting, to say the least! Luckily (for me) Mama caught up with Junior, and the pace slowed considerably. I breathed a sigh of relief. We made it to the horse camp, with me intact. That was 35 years ago, and I had a great time with the ride. I was one of few, walking normally the next several days. It would sure be a treat to ride with all y'all.

  11. OK -- and I also found THIS, AS WELL I don't know what this is all about.
  12. I did what???????? Uh-oh!! Memory lapse. What did I say/ do? While I have no recollection of that encounter -- I do know that I am *quick to speak*, as concerns homosexuality. I've learned to *shut up* about that particular topic (here on GSC), because I am a staunch opponent of it, in all forms. Now -- suffice it to say -- others here hold the exact opposite view. I've learned to think what I wish, speak occasionally about my thoughts, and allow others to do the same, without being confrotational. Trouble is -- that topic is *hot button* for me, so I've learned that silence (on my part), serves GSC the best, when discussing homosexuality. The thread would turn into an accusatory, name-calling fiasco in no time flat. So -- I *repress my voice*, on that topic. My choice. :)
  13. Further into it -- I found THIS Mario on steroids???
  14. Clicking around -- I found THIS. A computer that needs *de-fraging*???

Sadly -- I will not be able to attend either. Hoping against hope -- I see now that it just won't work. Since one other co-worker has had this week-end scheduled off for the past 3 months, he gets priority, and no one has signed up to fill his time, on the two days that he and I work together. (the weekend of THE BBQ) :( Since his schedule isn't covered, there is no way two of us can be gone at the same time, without someone *filling the shoes*. Was really looking forward to this. I was wanting open road, time off, *fellowship*, meeting you all face to face --- sans monitor screen. Meebe some day. But not this time. :( Someone else is going to have to pick the *Cotten-Eyed Joe* for you all. This FiddlePicker is stuck in Minney-soda.
  20. At the risk of adding fuel to the fire here, I never did comment about the clip where it was posted. I DID comment about it in the Rocky Horror thread, where you said that Rocky Horror was a *homo promo*. And after you posted that, THEN (and ONLY THEN) ~~~~ (WHEN?? WHEN?? THEN!! THEN!!) -- (saying compliments of docvic), did I comment on your *review*. I found it ironic that you would bash entertainment that you found to be a *fag show*, and then post that clip (on the opposite end of the *sexual pendulum*), *swinging* the other way, claiming it to be funny. Well -- meebe it was to some folks. Just like Rocky Horror is to others. Different strokes -- for different folks. What I couldn't understand, was that you would condemn one, while *promoting* the opposite end of the spectrum. So -- while I didn't like the clip, and you don't like Rocky Horror, my comments were more about your condoning one, and condemning the other. Again -- sorry I interjected my personal view. I should have limited my comments to your perspective, rather than interjecting my own.
