Hey -- I saw a Fender stratocaster in a local pawn shop yesterday for $400.00. Is that a good price??
  2. It's always noon, somewhere. ;)
  3. Psalmie -- when you get tired of fighting --- I found a bed for you to lay down in Lay down and take your rest!! :)

For that matter -- I also like David Anderson's take on the book of Acts. Found HERE, in it's entirety. :)

I like the teaching Walter did at Sound Out 84, about the Acceptable Year Of The Lord. Makes sense to me. :)
  6. Thank you for that. My next session for reading comprhension lessons is 2 months away, and now that you have so wonderfully assisted me in that endeavor -- I have a 15 minute time slot in January that I have completely open from my (already previously mentioned) busy schedule. I will re-read the thread, and answer your serious accusations in detail -- then. :)
  7. Tom --- are you insinuating that I have so much time on my hands that I can go willy-nilly to read over old threads at the drop of a hat?? For your information, the opposite is true, I have too many hands on my time pulling me in many directions, forcing me to multi-task against my will. Why -- even driving to work, I'm occasionally compelled to stop and help some little old lady across the street because she stopped in the middle of the street, forgetting which way she was headed, cramping my already busy schedule. And now you drag up old threads, expecting me to go back and read them all?? Hmmmmp! I detect an accusation that I don't manage my time properly, and have the luxury to do as you suggest. And if you are accusing me of NOT managing my time properly, then you are saying that I don't schedule (into my already busy day), a time slot to go and pay my bills -- so now I suspect you of accusing me of fiscal irresponsibility as well. Time is money and I have less and less of each daily. I can't afford to hear more docvic teachings, OR reading old threads about 100 hours of pfal as you may have (correctly) surmised by now. That would mean extra trips to the drug-store for *industrial strength* aspirin to deal with the headaches, trips to the shrink, trips to the local sauna (to get rid of the *chills*), mensa classes (to increase believing), and last but not least -- a hefty bill at the local corner liquor store for the prerequisite drambui. Now -- I would really like to answer your accusations in detail because it bothers me hugely that you think I am less than THE BEST steward on TWO fronts, and I will when I get a chance sometime in the future. Right now I have to go shopping for a toilet bowl brush, because I'm scheduled to clean the toilet next month and now is the only time I have to get the super duper model *implement of destruction* -- designed to do the job cleaning the toilet throughly (NOT thoroughly -- read what's written!). After I get rid of that $h!t, I might have time to deal with yours. ;) ;)
  8. OJ is innocent ------- (RIGHT!!) And the sun sets in the East, after rising in the West. While tornadoes in the midwest rebuild houses, instead of destroying them, and hurricanes in in the Southern Climes, are actually a good thing --- getting folks off their couches, and moving them into the streets. *Guilty as sin* comes to mind here. <_< <_<

    ARGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where's my *YOU-TUBE* fix???????????????????????????????????????????????? :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
  10. At the risk of relegating this to the political forum -- I'll say this. The liberal media is just that. They have an agenda, and it is eminently clear. Were they to tell both sides of the story -- we might have a different perspective of what is truely happenning. But they don't, so we don't. That's why I like talk radio. Yopu get announcers who field phone calls from anyone. Anyone --- from either side of the story. Not some video clip designed to *persuade*. And I'm not talking Rush, or Shawn, or Mike. I talking local guys. With a local audience, and with a connection to the folks who are either over-seas, or have been there, and now are back, and what they have seen, and what they have experienced. Believe you me -- their story is one you will NEVER hear on --- CBS, ABC, NBC, or any of the other affiliated networks. :( Belle -- we need more stories like that one. Thanks.
  11. Non-believers celebrate Christmas too?? Oh -- yea -- I guess they do. :) Even the non-believers put up the Christmas tree, Buy gifts for others, expect gifts in return, Celebrate the season, While denying the *REASON FOR THE SEASON*. Their privilidge It's a free country (and all that). I (seriously) can't imagine a person thinking of Christmas -- without having some religious connotation. Let's get honest here. :)
  12. If he is sincere -- (which I realize is NO GUARANTEE OF TRUTH ---) I'm wondering if he wil refuse royalties for THIS SONG, when it is played this season.
  13. Cindy! --- Here's hoping you had a !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! birthday!! :) :)

    Thank you

Mark -- I received this in an e-mail from my cousin. Both of her parents (my aunt and uncle), are in Arlington National Cemetery. Click THE LINK HERE for a tribute to veterans. It speaks my heart as well. God bless you SIR, and all others who choose to put country before personal achievements. David

Ala -- right now Youtube is *down*for *scheduled maintenance*. :( I did see that clip yesterday, (that you posted), and is the youngster you mentioned Vince Gill, or was it Allision???? (in the clip???) I've got some stories to tell, about Allision, at a Bluegrass festival I was at, and she was at, before she was the SOMEBODY that she is today. ;)
  16. Sooooo --- Sir EJ making a blatant statement (such as he did), and my comment about his complaining statement, are one and the same, given different perspectives? B as in *B*, and S as in *S*. :) Get out of your Ivory tower -- and smell some roses -- or sumpthing. Your getting all *moldy* up there.
  17. What cult did Stalin, or Hitler lead that we followed, that we are *qualified* to address, from a first hand basis??? <_< <_< <_<

Now I just got accused by the board, for posting too many smileys. :( when I also put this in the previous post --- then ----- so -- what am I missing about the spacing of the smileys?? Anything? Nothing? And how come I get accused for *inserting too many smileys* when I was quoting Socks?? Smileys are like notes in a lick/ scale/ riff, etc. -- the more the better-- (but tastefully done -- don'tcha know!) Am afraid to add a smiley here ---> this post also (Bullinger), might get refused.

Socks wrote (typed) ~~~~~ What am I missing here?????????? Is this *smiley tab* for a guitar chord, or what??? (wanders off mumbling to himself!!!!!)
  20. Who's whining here?? Not I. Just stating a fact.
  21. Tom -- I found it. I see it's called In The Kitchen, on the main Forum Index., ironically placed -- just above In Memorium. I wonder if we can say pineapple, ham, and pizza in the same sentence there??   Judging by the views and replies on the threads there --- we have some hungry folks at the cafe, looking for some good eats. :)
  22. Dooj has her own Forum????????
  23. Hey there NotMatilda -- welcome to GreaseSot. :) How do you take your coffee?
  24. HAPPY BIRTHDAY T-CAT! (Been a while since you dropped in the cafe for a coffee.) Here's hoping all is well with you. :)
