A very good friend of mine just passed away, and this song was sung at both her and her husband's funeral's, even though the funerals were 14 years apart. I was in a Jesus freak group, back in the early 70's. Myself (and 3 other folks there) questioned everything. One evening at our normal Friday night fellowship, a fellow by the name of Bill M**ton from twi showed up and dangled some "tantalizing bits of biblical research" in front of the four of us. We took the bait, and "bit". We bit so hard, all 4 of us ended up spending the next decade in twi. A wasted 10 (or so) years following what we were told to do/ believe/ etc., but that there was the beginning of it for me. and Garth - - - Yea. It's the Bill M**ton you're thinking of. Was the "conservative" comment directed towards myself? If so, that is quite an easy question to answer, with (really) no thought involved when it comes to an answer. I have always been conservative both in speech/ thought/ and political leanings. I'm curious as to why you would ask about a "conservative leaning" to either myself (or anyone else for that matter) on a thread that is dealing with Jim Doop/ The Way West/ and Vpw?? Maybe i missed something here, but that (to me) seems to be totally irrelevant and off-topic. Correct me if I have erred. :)

Ham - - - don't denigrate yourself or your opinions, eh? What to do now? Good question, but the answer is up to you, and your preferences. Me?? I tried a bunch of different churches/ theologies/ etc. I don't go to church (these days). There was a "Spirit Blowing in the Wind", (if you will), before docvic. Some of us tapped into that, got sidetracked by twi, and left searching once again. Personally?? I'm "Chasing the Wind" these days. There were answers there at one time. I'm of the opinion they still are. But that's my choice. Yours might be different.

I'm guessing that the "double slit test" is the logical explanation for the "fog years". Shoot the same cr@p through one slit (docvic)/ and then through a 2nd (lcm), and they cancel each other out.

Hey there Twinky. :) Like i said, I don't have a scanner here. And - - - I'm not that "techno-savvy". I'm used to dealing with wires and wood (acoustic instruments), and computers mystify me. I'll do what I can though. The GMIR article entitled "The Dead Sea Scrolls" was written by Karen Masterson (9th Corps).

I've never played professionally, but I've spent a lot of time on stage holding/ picking a variety of instruments while performing for an audience sitting in front of us (the band) expecting entertainment. All of my playing music for the past umpteen years has been a hobby/ something fun to do/ an avocation (if you will) rather than a vocation. In all my years of picking (and being in the "opening group" for some pretty well known national acts), I've never been "micro-managed" by any of the stage managers/ promoters of the concert/ festival/ etc., the way I was when I was asked to play a simple song (that I had written) for twig. Not only did I have to play the song for the twig leader before twig (listening intently with furrowed brow - - obviously concentrating on the words of the song), I also had to listen to their BS suggestions that I change a few words that they (somehow in their "spiritually renewed mind") decided didn't fit. I told her (yes it was a she) to forget it. I either did it the way I had written it, or it was a no go. I'm the least "ego-maniac" you'll ever meet when it comes to music and performing it on stage, but to be told by a total neophyte (when it comes to music) how and what to sing or perform really, really (did I mention "really") rankled. Twi seemed to think they knew "it all" when it came to __________ (insert any topic here). Fugg em. They knew nothing then, and know nothing now about anything, even though they pretend to "know everything with God's blessing on it all". If twi were to get a new name, I'd call them AWAC. (A$$holes Without a Clue). They've certainly "manifested their ineptness" in every category imaginable.

GMIR started out as a "noble project" (imo), but in it's latter years of existence (again my imo), it appears to have been a twi tool for "regurgitating the party line" there in the way bi-monthly rag.

I was there, when he (Loy boy) was on stage "proclaiming that statement". Don't ask me what stage, or what year. I saw him on too many stages, over too many years. I think so. Southern Comfort Wienie roasts, and Texas BBQ's have gone the way of the ROA - - and dinosaurs. A "happening thing" in their time, but now extinct.

On May 20th, 1985 I was on L.E.A.D. in the Black Hills of South Dakota. We were having a good time there and had just finished with the "duo" part of L.E.A.D. and were all back in camp, when a uniformed (armed) park ranger came looking for "whomever was in charge of this group here". They had news from Hdqtrs for us. Back then (I think I've got this right), L.E.A.D was considered a "roving limb", and was on a "need to know" basis if important things happened. Leastways that's what I was told, when I asked why we were informed about this while "out on the field". All of us on L.E.A.D. were sorrowful when we heard the news (at the time), but then again we were all "innies" back then. My personal feelings about his passing were MUCH different one year later, than they were on that day. I went to the ROA in 85 for his memorial service, saw the gravesite, and left thinking "What now"? That was the last time I was in New Knoxville, and I don't plan on returning anytime ever again. The "what now" part of my thinking from that day was answered faster than I would've thought possible. I don't want to celebrate the death of anyone. But with that being said, now that I know, that I know that I know what he was up to, it doesn't bother me a bit that he is planted, and no roses on the gravesite. In response to your original post skyrider - - - - I'm guessing May 20th, 2010 was "just another day at the office", for twi. Who's got time for "old wine", eh?

Seems to me ( and I admit to a "foggy memory"), that there was once a time when twi "brow-beat" a local farmer, who had land right next to hdqtrs that docvic and them wanted ( for who knows what). And the legal team at twi finally wore the guy out, even though he was fighting for his rightful property. If I recollect correct, twi considered it a "victory from God (or some other such BS). Reading this here, I just have to wonder if that poor guy isn't one of the ones "sharecropping " on his own land? Does anyone else remember this situation, or am I totally off base here?
