    Customer Service

Hey there all. This was forwarded to me by one of my cousins. He claims it's true. Meebe, meebe not. If it is, I'd like to buy that cusomer service rep a beer! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ :P :P :P
  2. I'm sorry to hear that Eagle, I really am. That sux big time. If there is one thing I've learned here at GSC -- it's tolerance of other's viewpoints. I've found out many a time here that others were right, and I was wrong. And other times the opposite happened -- but without tolerance for other's viewpoints -- nothing is learned by anyone. What's that saying on the bumper sticker????? Oh yeah -- "Minds are like parachutes. They function best when open."
  3. When I first read this -- I misread Magen David as Mogen David --- (the wine)!   Great topic Dot. And Abi --- thanks for all the constructive input. VERY EDUCATIONAL!! :)
  4. YES!! Good to hear. :) You've always been methodical and objective in your biblical work. Glad to know the revision is done. I haven't settled down with a good book in a long time. I'm looking forward to reading it. Oh -- and thanks for the http://www.genesispursuit.com/ link. Is that your new website??

Uh-oh -- meebe Tom's *chocolate vodka* works after all. (Or maybe it was my quoting of his post), --- but I see ads for gourmet coffee, at the bottom of the page now!

Hey -- throw me into the conversation, and eventually bluegrass, fiddles, banjos, mandolins, etc., all get tossed into the *mix*. :) Welcome to THE Guitar Thread!

When you add chocolate to vodka, you no longer have vodka!!
  8. Oh -- and I forgot to add this here ----- Fluid on the manifold (which gets hot from the car running), will burn away, thus the smell (brake fluid, oil you might be adding, etc.). BUT -- new brakes will smell as well as you use them after being installed, since they haven't been used before. New mufflers do the same. It takes a small bit of time for the *newness* to wear off, but it does. And another thing -- if your brakes *squealed*, when you applied them --- that means the pads were pretty much entirely shot, and you had metal hitting metal for your brakes. You usually ONLY hear that sound, when the *pad* part of the pad is gone. And the metal of the brake pads, hitting the metal of the rotor, does *score* grooves into the rotor making it ineffective, unless it is "turned" to remove the grooves and restore a flat surface for your brake pads to connect with. Again -- if you told him that -- I'm surprised he didn't mention rotors right away as a possibility of an extra thing you might need done. Maybe Ron G. will weigh in here. He seems to know a lot about vehicles.
  9. Look at it this way --- they're helping get your very own WOW-mobile!!!! Seriously -- fellowshipper is right about the fluid. Whenever brakes are done, fluid needs to be added when done. And the brakes DO NEED to be bled once the pads have been replaced, since air will have gotten in the brakes lines. I live right next door to a *fix-it* shop, and the guy is very reputable. He will take your car in for "whatever job", but before he does ANY work on it, he will call you and tell you his diagnosis of the situation. Sometimes that means doing extra stuff, that you didn't plan on. He will ask if you want it done, and tell you the price involved. He makes sure you are fully informed, before he will actually work on your car after inspecting it. It surprises me that your guy/ mechanic down there didn't do the same. Turning the rotors would mean more money for him, and inspecting the rotors would seem (to me) to be a routine thing to do. Especially so -- since you have the brakes apart anyway. And he definiately should have inspected the entire works, and then let you know if extra work needed to be done. I don't know about the vacuum hose -- but that is as plausible an explanation as any. It's been years since I worked on my own vehicle's brakes, The *cash only* thing is suspicious to me as well. Hope things work out for you.:)
  10. Awww shucks!! And to think that from such *humble beginnings*, corresponcence from Europe, Africa, and the Phillippines is received. And from *such humble beginnings*, folks left to go to said foreign countries, and do what they felt was the Lord's will, ministering to those in need. Hey -- I've been there, and parked my car in that parking lot. Sure it's small, the building is small, but the heart behind the work is huge. I have to duck my head in the basement of the house there, where all the materials for shipping are sent out. But the mailing list transcends the US, and covers many time zones. If you don't agree with it, that's your privilidge. As I've said before -- I have questions also about CES (these days), but I see the heart behind what they are trying to accomplish. I could scan page after page of letters to CES from various countries, (to the *International* office), here at GSC, but that might not be legal. Suffice it to say -- Your pics seemingly denigrating the *international* aspect of the office, just don't cut it, and are superficial to say the least. And the *sensationalizing* of the office as small (and demeaning), totally cuts out the heart of the folks working there. Hmmmmmm. I wonder what you might have posted, had the CES office looked like the VPW Auditorium??? BTW -- I see this is your first post here. Welcome to GreaseSpot. :) (First cup of coffee is on me). (I hate to have to edit for spelling!!) Grrrrrr!!!
  11. Oh my!!!!! I forgot until I clicked the link --- page 2 (post 33) on OF FRANKEE'S DECEPTION, was the beginning of our 2nd Pineapple and Pizza war here! Sorry to derail this thread with THAT ONE!
  12. Shucks --- priorities are just that --- priorities. So go do what you need to do. That's understandable. But why erase the account here?? You might get a wild hair somewhere down the road to come back, and see what's being said, and (maybe) make a comment or two. I've only burned bridges to places I NEVER wanted to go back to. Leaving a *back door open*, might be an option you'll want to use 6 months, 1 year, (whenever), in the future, should you decide to. I bet yer going fishhhhhhing, aren't you Jonny! I still laugh at your FRANKEE DECEPTION, that we all fell for. Whatever you decide -- God bless, take care, and at least keep in touch with CoolChef. (He needs that smoked salmon, don't cha know!) ;) David
  13. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!! That reminds me of THIS JOKE from Just Loafing, to Mark O'Malley, buried in Just plain silly. :)
  14. Hey, hey hey!!! :B) :B) :B)

  17. Jonny -- you are so FOS -- but I love it!! :eusa_clap:
  18. Onegod -- good to see you again. Your THREAD KILLERS thread was better than this one by far. :)
  19. All these new ways to *get it up*. Geez!
  20. Well --- yes and no. As one other GSC member here has PM'd me, the lawsuit should have at least been mentioned in the letter, to those of us who have *partnered* with them. But it wasn't. Healing doesn't come from hiding issues. M & KAG will not get feedback (positive or negative) either, if this thing is hidden and not spoken of openly. Who knows? Meebe if they are spoken to lovingly by other folks who weren't on the BOD , they might reciprocate with something other than a lawsuit. But (currently) -- it seems only the BOD, and us here at GSC know about it, with the CES/STF folks learning from the posts here. (Speculation here -- but one can dream -- can't they)? I'm glad I got the letter, but it could have said a bit more than it did.
  21. I called CES/STF today. Who answered the phone?? Jeff USAF RET (Jeff --- the Supply Guy). :) I had some questions to ask, and got lot's of answers. With his permission -- I can tell you the following: Dan G., Mat, and Jeff are back at the office working there again. John Schoenheit will be the president until the next election. Sadly -- the lawsuits are going forward. John S. and JAL are willing to talk to anyone. So if you have any questions -- ask. :) This might seem *sketchy* (as far as a *report* goes), but because of the lawsuit in progress, I can't say any more.
