Y'all stole our snow. ;) The JOHN BEARGREASE SLED DOG MARATHON has been cancelled. :( I've got a back yard here that is more brown than white. And the trails out there through the woods look the same. On it's 25th anniversary, Beargrease is cancelled due to lack of snow. I've used my new snow shovel only ONCE this year. We're putting up with frigid temps instead. In my own sick way -- I envy you!! :P

It figures.

I generally had a good time at the rock. My time's there were from '75 to '85. I liked the spontenaity, seeing old friends, late night jam sessions in the campground, things like that. (I think I lived only on WOW-burgers, the entire time). From '78 to '81 -- the entire branch from up here in Minney-soda did the road trip together. A long line of wow-mobiles headed south, belching blue exhaust the entire way! Whole families with kids, singles, married couples, returning WOW's -- so we made the trip a two day affair and stopped early on (suppertime), making sure to be at a campground that had a "play park" for the kids, while the adults set up camp, got supper, etc. I only remember once that one of those cars actually broke down on our 1800 mile trek there and back, and that was fixed by the caravan members within an hour, so we didn't really lose much time. Never having worked at the rock, I wandered around taking in whatever I felt like, and when I felt like it. Hey -- that was my VACATION for the year. I wanted to enjoy it! And I did. ;)

I kept telling her -- "20 posts per page", but did she listen?? No, No, a THOUSAND TIMES NO! (Hmmmmmm -- where've I heard THAT line before???) ;) Can I quote Rodney Dangerfield here??? *I don't get NO respect*!

Thank you 1 broken 1. Now meebe this BS about "not willing to communicate", can be laid to rest. I never did expect an answer from Mark from my letter to him -- but he sent me one. Tonight, and in detail about his side of the story. If anyone wants to p!$$ and moan about a lack of response --- take it to e-mail to those CES folks involved. You'll get answers. If you don't --- You probably won't. But maybe you don't really care either ---- Perhaps negative posting is your style, without finding out the facts. Again -- I'm not defending, or denigrating. Just stating rhe obvious here.

Ala -- I hear ya about the *sound* Pachelbel's Canon in D, is one of my favourites. When I first heard it done ,I thought it *heresy*. But the more I listen to it, the better I like it! :)

I've never had a problem connecting with old twi friends. It was never a *romantic* relationship that I sought. Merely a "Hi. How are ya doing (these days) kinda thing". Surprises me that more (if they know of *old compadres*, don't do the same, if they know of the various *holes* we all crawled into, many years ago!! (Ahem!!! there was once a time we were all friends -- right??) I give them the chance to reject me, and my current beliefs. But it never hurts to re-connect, eh? :lol:

For what it's worth -- I've heard from Dan G., John S., JAL, AND Mark G. --- all in the last week, because I e-mailed them, and asked questions. Meebe thou should go and do likewise?? :) (Just a thot!!!)

I've never been to a mega-church, (well -- except for the Catholic one I attended as a kid). Though I have been to some pretty small Baptist churches, and yes -- they showed all the love, etc., for me as a *newbie*, even though I wore jeans, and a t-shirt. No *love-bombing*, no prosylitizing, just a friendly --- "Hi, how are ya? I'm so and so. What's your name". It was a refreshing respite, from what I was used to in twi. :)
