  1. I love the lamb in a Gyros sandwich. Flat bread, some kinda white sauce, onions, and lamb. Never have tried it any other way. So where does one get a leg of lamb?? I've not seen it in the grocery stores up here. Do you have to go to a specialty meat shop? We have a couple of those here in town. Is this something they would have "in stock"?

Socks -- here's Jerry sans beard, and picking banjo along with two of his buddies.. John McEuen, Steve Martin, and Jerry (supposedly) all learned banjo together. Here they are jamming.

Wow. I remember buying it when it first hit the record stores. It was in a head shop called The Other Side, there in Indiana. If I recollect correct, I also bought "Their Satanic Majesties Request" (by the Stones), along with Sgt. Pepper. 40 years ago. Unbelievable!!!
  10. HA!!! Not hardly!! That was Sam. And in the Bluegrass genre, there is only ONE Sam. Sam Bush. Master of fiddle and mandolin. Born the same year I was, and not 100 miles away from me, he's been a dedicated musician, and devoted his life to it. He never got caught up in a cult, like you and I. I used to have that intensity when playing, but never learned all the licks he did. He's one of the most entertaining folks to ever grace a stage. ;)
  11. RainbowsGirl --- click on my signature line. It's a live link, and says purt near everything I believe (these days), about life, and how to handle it. ;)

Is it a position of authority? I don't know, but I believe it might be. Question two --- Why did you say "the *the way* of Argentina"?? Why didn't you say *el camino*, instead of *the way*? color me curious ;)

Ha! Satori and I were not collaborating. He posted a link, and I responded with another. but yea -- I hear ya about the kids being around while the adults played music way into the wee hours of the morning. That's what bluegrass is all about. Adult folks playing music (late into the night), kids allowed to stay up and listen and learn from their elders, and then ---- In later years, the adults trying to stay awake, to listen to the youngsters having fun playing bluegrass into the wee hours just like they used to, that the *kids* first heard from the elder pickers, who are now all going to bed at 10 pm!!!!
  19. I don't know about the tithe, but the bread and wine?? The bread ---- and the wine ---- :spy:

And satori -- forgot to thank you for that link to Tony Rice. Tony used to have the most beautiful voice for singing, and I miss it. His Spasmodic Dysphonia has robbed him of his voice. I saw him here in Minnesota 2 years ago, and he could barely croak out "SING IT!", to the audience as they were playing a chorus to some popular bluegrass song. Thanks for showcasing that he can still pick guitar. It was *typical Tony* -- flawless as usual. :)
