Happy birthday Daryl! Hope it's a fun one! Don't step on the kitty when you come in from celebrating! J. ;)-->

The apple doesn't fall far from the tree. It's obvious you have so many of your father's fine qualities, Mike. Beautiful tribute. I think he would be happy to see all of you together remembering him in such a loving way. Thinking of you today. Love, J.

As I recall, VPW also changed his teachings on "Bible Kinds of Faith" (pistis, faith, believing) a number of times from the late 60s to the late 70s. J.

Well, they didn't have any of that "fahr breathing juice" you make to pour on the wood, dear Hawk! (hope you heal up fast, darlin!) So glad you all had such a wonderful time. The pics look great - - nice to see all your weenie faces again - - especially our AHAT (hey girl, miss ya!). And welcome into the weenie fold to WWJLA. Hope to meet you next year. Oak, Rascal, Dr. Sudo, Mikey - - glad you held down the fort and weenie traditions - - someone had to roast some goat (or another critter) while Hawk was healing up. Greg & Cindy Bernardini have not been in Petaluma for some years now. They are living in southern Illinois, and if I remember correctly, near Springfield. Greg is affiliated with the group that runs Chris Geer's classes out of Naperville, IL. J.

Hiya Rascal. I'm here, but the boy, dog and I cannot attend this year. Say hi to all the tribe from us! J.

Just a short aside: The Geer groups have been offering an "Orientalisms" class for a few years now comprised of original recordings of Bishop Pillai's teachings from the '60s, hand-selected by Chris Geer. Seems to me there are two of those classes being offered by them now, if I remember correctly, in addition to their "Foundational - Walking in God's Power", "Intermediate - Walking in God's Power" and soon to be released advanced class. J.

They are well and involved with the Geer group out of Chicago (the group that was run by the late Joe Guarini - - now by Howard Stein (WI), Bob Carden (IL), Al Wajnberg (IL), Rich Watkins (IN), and a F-10 guy whose name escapes me at the moment). I forget their exact location but it's somewhere near Springfield IL, I believe. I saw Greg a couple of years ago and he's pretty much the same wise-cracking guy he's always been. He said Cindy and the kiddos were all doing well. If you want to contact him, you can reach him through Bob Carden's group (Rottiegirl knows the name - - I forget now) in Naperville, IL. J.

I can't remember cuz I get a few of the Ferry's confused, but if you email Alfakat, I'm pretty certain that Mrs. Alfakat knows where they are (or how to find out). That is, if I'm thinking of the correct Ferry's. J.

I have trouble remembering much of the specifics back then, but I was in residence in Rome City at the time. VPW had spent much of his last year at our campus and John Hendricks, who was our corps coordinator, had told us at the beginning of the year how sick VP was and probably near death. So, his death was no big surprise and, at least for me, didn't cause much grief. LCM had spent some time at the campus as well as Don W. (our campus trustee) and both seemed so un-spiritual and carnal to most of us, that all I can remember thinking was - - oh boy, this thing is going to go in the tank pretty fast. But, Corps brained as we were at the time, we still thought that the reason we were in there at that particular time was to change the system from within, which, after hearing POP, most of us concluded probably wasn't going to happen. We gave it a good shot once we graduated, but the cra* we saw on the field, made us just isolate and figure, it wasn't going to change in our lifetime. Most of our state's Corps and leadership left enmasse after LCM's loyalty letter and we tried to keep the thing going, but the foundation on which to build, we finally realized just wasn't there. My only grieving was that what I thought was God's Word and would work, didn't - - and that has caused some disillusionment, sadness, and ultimately another spiritual quest that has lead me interesting places with God. Interesting topic, Simon. J.

*********Interloper Alert******************* I think that Rev. 2Ts is correct about brother Simon being a plumber. Why just look at the butt crack he displayed so openly in his Self Portrait on the Pics pages. Now that's plumber material! Carry on.... J. ;)-->
