To our dear, dear Radar, Happy birthday, sweet lady. You still don't look a day over 21! Hope you had a wonderful day! Love & hugs, J.

Ala, I sure recognize that it takes quite a bit of distance to be able to relate something that miserable and all the personal suffering involved in such a humorous light. ((((ala)))) I'm glad it was healing for you to write it and you are now able to see that year in it's true light. Love ya dear, J.

Hi Tom H: Nice to see ya. I believe it's number 4 on the list you just posted, although when I went to their website that Socks posted, I see there's two options for "A Night at Red Rocks" with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. One is one disc, the other a two disc set. The one I saw was just one disc. Also watched the documentary tape (your number 2) which shows the entire video production of "I Know You're Out There Somewhere"). Hope you enjoy them. Crank up the sound, the rich marrying of the band and the orchestra is phenomenal. J.

Thanks for the links, Socks. Cool site. I checked out their retail list and they have two DVDs for the Red Rocks concert ("A Night at Red ROcks")- - a one and a two disc set, so looks like you can order them direct. J.

Socks, don't know if it's avail. online, as I watched a friend's dvd. Yes, there are two women on the dvd who do backup vocals and dance in the background. Wow, you guys had great seats. Funny on the dvd, the audience shots are so great, young kids and old farts like us (;)--> singing along to every song. Definitely they were among friends. You'll enjoy the dvd - - great production and sound - - well worth the cost. J.

Funny you should start this thread, Socks. A few weeks back, I watched a DVD of their concert they did at Red Rocks, Colorado with a full symphony (think it was done late 80s maybe). What a fantastic concert! I have always been a fan, but never have seen them live. Gotta say, if you've never seen them live, this DVD really captures the "heart" of the live performance. Very well done. You even experience it watching it (tho I'm sure live is much, much better). The shots of the audience (generations of folks) reliving or experiencing for the first time - - you really experience that magic with them. And the percussion guy was awesome....a show within a show. Really took me back. I got goosebumps with "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" and the entire audience singing - - definitely something special at a live performance and lots of memories being exchanged. Sigh. J.

Two quick things: 1) for those of you who did not notice, the content of HCW's story, without other's comments is posted in its entirety on the My Story thread. 2) Rochelle's brother, Al, is alive and well living with his wife and 3 children in the Chicago area. They moved there from the Dayton, OH area where they had been long-time residents to be close Joe Guarini (prior to his death) and his ministry work. J.

You are so very sweet, Plots (and dau) you're making me cry. J.

Noneya, I responded on the Corps thread where you asked about these people. J.
-
Well, many of them did leave under the guise that things were screwed up and they were going to stand on "the Word" --> Didn't stop many of them from still leaching off the "believers" as their source of income. Having been around a few splinter groups (o.k., o.k., so I'm a little slow in my rehab! :)-->), I can tell you the amazing corrolary between the splinter group "leader" and the few people in the area who were either wealthy or had good paying jobs. Friggin' amazing. J.

Yes, WW. I've never read that thread. I remember a couple of other dog-training books that were mentioned in passing over the years, but not that one. Very different focus at RC with the dog training thing. He brought the dogs to hunt, but mostly it was entertainment for the kids. When we were there, I never saw the inference that our kids should be trained like the dogs, but I know there were some parents who individually treated their kids that way. J.

Yes, that's what I heard about A. Coleman. Her mother's name is Cora Fowowe if that helps you with San Antonio info. I had heard Angela Gilmore had gotten married and still lived near the Jeffersonville, IN /Louiseville, KY area. Her folks are Jim and Suzette Gilmore who live there still last I heard fairly recently. BTW, I'm F11. J.

He is most definitely not normal, Vick. Nor is Mrs. Alfie for that matter (who I love dearly)! J.

Oh Ala, you northerners always misspell all our good words.

(((((((((Vickles))))))))))) pretty crappy how that stuff stays with us. I'm sure you inspired a lot of people over the years, sweetie. J.

You little city slicker, Howard! ;)--> ...(and a rebel too)...(that makes you even more endearing) :)--> J.

Not an easy question to answer, Plots. Josie's lived a very long life and I can't imagine the bond that must exist between her and Sally, as my own parents both died when I was in my 20s, so I didn't have very long with either of them. I do know this, though. They are both very fortunate to have you as their friend. You've been missed, Plots. Nice to see you again. J.
