Great news, Digi! My niece's hubby I told you about is Special Forces - - Mountain division also. J. P.S. So glad he's not having to go over to the sandbox right now :)

From Rottie: All of us oldtimers KNOW you need NO enticing, girl! lol Although Socks' post reminds me I need to dig through my closet for my riding crop (wonder where I put that thing, she thinks....) ;) J.

Oh yeah, I'm all for that kinda good customer service :D Well, it was til YOU came back  And we're glad you're back! J. P.S. rottie: I'm with you. I think it's great she's going solo. She don't need no stinkin' partner!

Oh yeah! It was Good Seed who did that "Born Again" number! Thanks, Socks. I got in twi in '73 and Carolyn (Hew*tt) Cr*innion (who first invited me to twig) used to play that song and make the walls shake! lol I hated it! I was into R&B sounds and that music made my head hurt! lol Ted, that is so cool you and the Chatty One recorded that and the Pres responded so nicely. Yes, we'd love to hear it. Y'all will have to come entertain us at the next Weenie Roast. Socks, I've chatted with Katie a number of times (she's very good friends with our very own Donner here at the cafe). It was nice to catch up with her again after so many years. She's well and just as funny as ever. Still in OH. J.

According to Google: Cabana boy: 1. a sexy guy with a tan that he gets from working out on the beach and serving the tourists daquiris and rum and cokes. 2. cabana boy A young man (typically in his twenties) that gives a woman anything and everything she needs or wants as a servant would. However most of her needs or wants have a sexual connotation behind them. 3. Nice, hot, young boy (race and income unimportant) who serves mine-or yours, should you choose- every whim. And I mean every whim. O.K., Alex - - I'll take #2 for $100..... :D J. P.S. Oh, and Evan - - that would be ANY position

Socks: Yeah, God in America. I was trying to remember the year and a distinction from when America Awakes came out and you put it together for me, tyvm. We were WOWs in 1974-75 (yes, Wordwolf; I realize this goes in the other section) in Bethleham, PA (I was with K*tie F*owle's group - - one of your 4th Corps gals) and one of our rarely allowed drives out of the confines of said city limits was to drive to White Plains, NY for the God in America concert. We were all tingly with excitement to see Joyful Noise live and in person. That was the year they had sent branches of WOWs out to select city and a number of us who post here at GSC have figured out we were all in PA that year - - Scranton, Bethleham, Allantown, College Town - - I think there were 7-8 cities; can't remember them all. The Joyful Noise 1, 2 and 3 had come out just before we went WOW (if I remember correctly, or maybe that year), but I remember that was our "twig music" - - and played them to death. I personally loved them. Not being much of an acid head prior to joining twi, the blaring of "Born again - - - of in-cor-rupt-ible- - - - - - seeeeeeeeeeeeeeed - - I'm born again" by Pressed Down (????) wasn't my kinda music - - so Joyful Noise was a nice healing change of music for me personally. The concert was great. VP and HA were doing their "here Howard - - take my jacket" thing on stage (don't know why that sticks in my mind). I think Vince F. was the emcee - - one of the first times I heard him speak. We sat in the first row and I musta caught Br*an Bl*ss' eye, cuz he asked me out for coffee after the concert, but we had to drive in snow all the way back to PA. Another missed opportunity (sigh). I remember Socks and all the gang so vividly. And you're right about Ted's "The White House Across the Street" was definitely Ted at his best. I remember his performance as though it was yesterday. Gives me goosebumps still thinking about it. Boy, seems like so very, very long ago (yeah, I know, it was!) and at the time we were full of life, "moving" God's Word and eating this stuff up like crazy. But, it truly was one of the highlights of our year. J.

From Billy Clyde: Hi Billy You all stayed at our house in San Luis Obispo. There were a number of us college WOWs from Cal Poly living together. I remember some of the folks in that summer outreach group and the infamous incident with said LC. Yeah, I haven't thought about that time period in a long time... J.

I actually think Madame Fleiss is onto something and it was only a matter of time til someone went after this market. Judging on how women act at a Chippendale's party (I've only heard 2nd hand) I'm thinking they should put one of those places down the street from Heidi's place as the warm up act. There's no doubt she's got a winner there. Would I go? Naw. I'm still waiting for responses from my ad for a cabana boy. :P Nice to see ya, Rottie J.

Happy Birthday, Oily John: We know you're a long way from home and appreciate all you do over there in the "sandbox" taking care of our men and women. Hope you come home soon so your next birthday will be with your family! Your buddy, J.

LOLOL Thanks for the laugh, DoveMan! Socks, I think I have one of those pics of me at age 2 with my sisters and I look frozen in fear! J. For a little perspective, we fly out from the Midwest to see family in Calif. So the boy and I are the presents - - and if they think that's cheap, they can come out and pay MY bills. lol Have a friend with a teenage daughter who, for her birthday, asked if family members would give her money to donate to the hurricane relief effort. Now that kid's got some perspective on life!

Last I heard, not too long ago, he and his family were living in Maine. He moved back to the states some years ago, though still maintains an office in Scotland and a couple of former Gartmore staff as his staff for his Word Productions company. His wife and two daughters comprise most of his staff here. He still produces his newsletter "Glimpses of Truth" (I'm sure WhiteDove can tell you more than I can about that). Last I talked to one of the people who's into his classes, he was awfully close to finally completing his re-make of vp's Advanced Class. The foundational and intermediate "Walking in God's Power" classes have been out for over 10 years and franchises of the his organizational deal are available to those who pony up the cash and pay a percentage of their annual take to him. He's not a fan of the evil empire known as the Internet, so you won't find a website for him anytime soon, methinks. J.

Wordwolf: Thanks for compiling these quotes. Years after leaving twi, adjusting to real life again, finding a church I'm comfortable with, I still find myself benefitting from the discussion here. I remain friends/acquaintances with former twi folks - - some of whom choose no formal church involvement, some who do the offshoot thing, some who are happy with their christian church or other form of spiritual participation - - and from time to time one of them inevitably puts on the rose colored glasses about ol' vp. To read a compilation of info that was only discovered (via the Internet) following his death and the near-death of his organization, must be quite mentally jarring for the first-time readers - - as it still provokes thoughtful consideration in my mind after multiple readings and participation here at GSC. I can't help but reiterate the following: 1. From Shaz: 2. From Rascal: Makes me so thankful to have discovered this place. J.
