I loved that link.. I still have a problem with human arrogance.. *they* (the animals) are under our authority.. how many ships could sport the presence of mighty battle cats.. hurray, hurry hurry. be among the first, the few, the chosen.. I've met christians who think they will have panthers at their side.. where are they going to come from? the small inconvenience of having a cat (or even human for that matter..) potty box on the ship would be a small price to pay.. lest you think I am derailing my vewy own thread. The Creator chose to use the names of some of these animals in the stars.. if you think the maintenance of a cat on a voyage to be unacceptable.. us humans are far, far more "messy"..

Yes, I can already give my report as to my own failures, and failings.. I've already done all of that.

so my thoughts are.. he had a couple of years, to plan a way (hiccup) out of his troubles.. so he wasn't "surprised".. or caught off guard. He saw it coming.. and prepared a whole facade of deception.. considering he left his youngest for a year or more with relatives.. no. it wasn't about them.. sorry, I was sent to observe here. I'm sincerely trying to make my observation accurate and all..

perhaps. :) my first thought though is.. if there is no room on the "ship" for the cats in my house, I'm not going. people can be soooo damned arrogant at times..

has anyone discussed this work here? I've started looking it over again. There has to be some relevance to the human (and non-human) soul.. I've been drawn to the section that talks about the constellation cancer, with ursa major, ursa minor (the great and lesser bear) and Argo, the ship.. first of all. If the ship comes, the cats come with me. No negotiation.. I'll do kitty box duty. No need for a "deity" to descend to such a duty.. so down to business. Bullinger talks about the "lesser" (or smaller) flock, the sheepfold and the sheep, and the ship. his claim on page 149 about the ship: "shows the travelers and the pilgrims brought safely home- all conflict over" am I even part of a "flock".. sometimes it really doesn't seem like it.. "everlasting habitation"? I don't know how "user friendly" it will be..

Ha.. well, it would agree with what I saw with the hurredly collected cheap prints of the *official* anthem of da way corps.. what didn't he steal.. I think the lyrics were in the blue song book..

As I feel my through the book of Revelations!
Ham replied to year2027's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
don't get too tired friend.. my other friend here sees the book of revelation coming to life through world events.. I don't know if I entirely agree, yet.. -
well.. there is this little community college.. that might want me just to teach.. MATH. I have no idea where all of this is leading.. I duuno why I chose math. It was my weak spot.. at least at the time.. maybe that's why.. I put myself in a position that I would have to improve myself.. failure really is an option here.. well.. it's looking less so as I go..

dunno. I'm too tired for "research". That is, unless it is something that I personally am interested in..
-
I really hope, in the end the same thing can not be said for me. well.. the first semester. No *real* training.. well, a few useful pointers, but.. a graduate assistant teacher, especially the first semester, is just, plain, AWFUL. somehow the Intermediate Algebra students survived..

I like the dark sayings.. the older we get.. the more we can spiritually "mature". No, not in way terminology. they live in perpetual spring time, or so they think.. like giddy teenagers. They don't have a clue.. what does one do, when ones youth fails, ones teeth fall out, and the money fails.. It's like.. sitting around the campfire.. and telling ghost stories that may be true.. the "elders" of "da way" have been deprived of this. Or when the end comes, they are forced to spin their yarns somewhere else..

so.. where do the accusations of "yentsing (excuse the spelling) the church secretary" fit in the chronology here?
-
I mean.. how many kids did he have to support at the time? And wife. And who knows when he started with "concubines".. He could always have gone back(?) to farming.. I think he literally "snapped".. would explain a lot..

I dunno. I would agree that he didn't have an entire lack of qualifications. A master's degree in almost anything isn't an easy route.. and the school was reputable. So he got a degree in homiletics. way history seems pretty silent on when he got his fake "doctorate". later? Why don't they say exactly WHEN? Does anybody even know? So he went from college, with a legitimate masters degree. Went into the denomination, "pastored" a church.. Threatened with defrockation and the "bums" rush from the organization in whom invested a little authority in him.. his ordination would not have meant squat. So to speak.. was it at this time he decided he'd better have a back up plan? as in.. *some* credentials, though manufactured, are better than none at all?

If it involved the "law of believing".. it didn't work very well, now did it..
-
but there are some who for one reason or another are intent on propping it up.. at this point.. the only motivation I can think of, is.. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
-
Is he any relation to bob?
-
so.. 1998 to present. Kind of a lot of time to construct a few answers, no? yes, feel free..
-
so who is this character? anybody know him? s*anley that is..

bitterness of soul seems to be a "biblical" concept. does "bitterness" make one.. 1. wrong. false conclusion, your logic is flawed, only because.. you are... bitter.. 2. possessed. 3. etc. "why would I want to spend time with such a bunch of BITTER people.." well.. maybe.. because that is all that is or are, around.. must have been the automatic spell check. I wrote "bitter".. it spelled "bigger"..
-
oh yes.. little words that mean big things.. I was surprised though, with the *warning* to avoid subjects herrrrr manowagd did not peruse, and expound on first.. it's like.. were "bible studies" to be classified among "curious arts"? I can't remember her name. Nor do I have the old syllabus in front of me.. It "graces" the bookshelf of some little known offshoot adherent somewhere.. when I die.. these frigging numbnuts will break out the old sylabi.. "this is ham's *heritage*.." they did that to one guy here who I knew who died..

I commented at the said site. It was polite, no "bad words" or anything. The immediate response? actually, it was pretty benign. It was Waysider's famous quote..

I would really like to see some documentation here.. but the claim, even if TRUE.. he chose the EASY WAY OUT. That is.. not the dedication, persevearance and just plain hard work that it would take to go to a *real* university, and EARN the doctorate.. but I reject the claim to begin with. The "other side" must prove its claim.. Here is an interesting item from the pro vicsters. here is the link to *mr* st*anley's take: http://www.biblicalresearchjournal.org/brj-pages_html/001bp_upcoming.html

another thought. How many drool marks are in your old bible? You know. da manogawd, or whoever it was.. droning on for hours about the great significance of the word "of".. so dreadfully bored, not to tears, but to drool.. I'm really thinking of "da vey tree" class. I think I had at least one page soaked.. what ever happened to that guy.. I hope he got a little excitement (beyond a few sexual *excursions*) in his life..

from the "pro" wienerville site: so through HIS books.. HIS classes.. I don't know about you.. but I was among those whose constant cheer leading kept a crowd of people "blessed" enough to be in "da class" to not fall into such a deep sleep that they would from sheer boredom start drooling on themselves.. no kidding.. it was *his* great accomplishment? He lead them? No.. it was *us*.. and for that, I offer my most sincere apology..
