I wish were in a position, that I could not lose. That possibility always seems to be there.. losing, that is.. I've gambled a hell of a lot here.. I've gambled.. on a thin chance, that this country might come to its senses, and rebuild. They will need those with math and science skills.. I have about twelve, or so years to really make a difference here.. then you are forced to do whatever it is that will be done with old, skilled, or unskilled, unemployed people.. at least the hams love me.. :) this weekend.. I still could add about 160 morse code contacts to the efforts of the local group.. well, they are worth double. Twice that of SSB or even digital voice contacts.. why is it, that I love and prefer older technology.. I can live and survive with the new.. but it seems the ranks are thinning among those of us who can do the old..

my dearest friend here, suggests that I have Aspergers or something.. who is the "ultimate foe.." I think religious coverings has made it (or he, or it, or me) something else.. da way is most sad. It, or they do not even allow a belief in self.. Walt Whitman had it figured out, for a brief moment.. so I'm 54 years old with some kind of learning disability.. weird. Maybe I'm just trying too hard. Maybe I should let somebody else do the work trying to connect with *me*.. whatever that is..
-
they must have been spiritually and intellectually helpless and deprived of da "greatness"..

Trust your Doctor. That's what the ads say here anywa

I that's really cool.. he was only just basically a turd, anyway.. so I look into the void.scary? I dunno.. maybe the whole argument comes down to.. do you *really* love me, or do you not.. fair question, I think..
-
You've had five minutes of stability.. what now? hope the thoughts here are not too scary..
-
The ultimate foe.. is.. what, who? the devil? don't think so.. fiction, is wonderful.. if you want "spoilers".. look in the mirror.. yeah, I've seen it at least once..

no, this was an earlier doctor. He was summoned by the high court of Galifreyian law. And Valeyard (chief prosecutor) was revealed to be close to the final incarnation of the doctor.. Interesting story line. Very, very interesting. we had one doctor, bargaining for the remaining regenerations of his ancestor, upon successful prosecution of one's self.. I have a VHS copy. It is now playing.. I don't think Colin Baker had jelly babies though.. Terror of the Vervoids, the Ultimate Foe.. very, very interesting.. so very very interesting. Who(?) was the "Ultimate Foe"? I love fiction..

and the more you use, the less you have.. you'd have to consume all of the energy in the universe, to put everything in its proper place.. well. thinking a little further.. no matter how deranged the clocks are in Michigan universities.. they have to be correct, at least once a day. Something about continuity here that might apply.. undiscovered? that is the country, we chose to flee from.. well.. it owns us. this reference from Shakespeare was quoted in "trial of a time lord" once..

however. suppose the referenced clock is not entirely "stopped". Like the one in my 12 pm math 105 class. the second hand is quivering between the last second and the next.. and it may advance at any given moment, or not.. will it ever be right twice a day? I'll leave the argument up to the statisticians.. it would be far, far cheaper. If they just replaced the clock.. during tests I am probably the most highly (yet underpaid) clock. I write the advancement of time on the black board, in five minute increments.. hey.. it's a job(?). can't be much worse than being employed as a living hard drive. Yes, I heard that schpiel from a reputable source..

I still tend to rely on rational thinking. but when it fails, what do you do then? it's not the end of the world or anything..

everything in the wrong place.. there is a mathematical description of this. It is called "derangements". The original problem involved calculating the number of ways that the post office could deliver all of the mail to the wrong address.. They have developed a formula to calculate this precise number.. you have n houses. The total number of ways the post office can't "get it right" is.. D_n=n!(1-1/1! +1/2! - 1/3! + ... +((-1)^n)/n!) so if there are three houses. The post office has 3!(1 -1/1! +1/2! -1/3!) = 2 ways to completely screw up the delivery.. sanity is only relative, isn't it.. good point friend. very very good..

I understand what you are saying. but isn't this one of the really big, difficult questions? What if you woke up one moment.. and found EVERYTHING you previously believed was just plain wrong.. what would you do? my "beliefs" are insane. I don't care if people label them yes, or no.. or nutty. Or if they agree.. I tend to support the idea of reincarnation. Is it right, or is it wrong? If I can wake up with everything in the wrong place once, what guarantees that it won't happen again? I just can't take it all that seriously.. I dunno. I'm intolerant, even as far as my own personal beliefs are concerned.. maybe, I'm just really, really screwed up here.. why have stability, when one can have all of "this" and more.. stability is really over-rated.

I dunno. To me, they seem to have very similar facial features.. admittedly, he seems to have a certain "puffiness" not exhibited by k*vin..
-
"batteries".. hah. It has been one compromise, after another.. Batteries are cool. I have two of them.. deep cycle marine cells.. for the radios here. I just turn on the charger, at least once a week..

Today, for lack of other words, it is Americanization.. but where mathematics, science and technology are concerned.. they seem to be more qualified than "us"..

can one (consciously) live two lives, simultaneously.. my vote is "no". even in an existence of infinite possibilities.. I remember a few conversations with people. "the last thing I knew, we were in a car.. in the wrong lane, 70 mph against opposing traffic.. the next moment, we were in a different lane.." "god must have transported us, or something.." sometimes I wish people wouldn't tell me anything. let them sort it out.. what I wonder is. How many agreements did you have to make. With who, or whatever.. between the time the oncoming car resoundedly smashed you into oblivion, and the moment you were in the other lane. batteries didn't exactly "work" that time, did they? I'm sure, if you can get very, very quiet, you can remember this..
-
I would slightly modify that, or offer a slightly different interpretation. We have a need to end UNBRIDLED capitalism. unbridled, it must consume itself.. maybe that is what is happening anyway.. maybe that is the big "plan".. give it what it wants..

non-linear time. I've seen it.. about the same time as the "impressions" I referred to. I watched my mom speaking. The speech started to become slurred.. slower, and slower, and slower.. I suppose from my point of view, time was speeding up. it was pretty scary then. Now I would know what to do.. sit back, relax, and enjoy the "trip".. I have no idea what it really was.. I would be perfectly satisfied with the hippies and halloween candy explanation. regarding "specific cases". whatever became of the lady who supposedly grew a brand new functional eyeball in an empty eye socket? just wonder. It was supposedly some gal from west virginia.. l*nda somebody..

what else was in this old bible (now in a landfill somewhere).. I had little notes along side of every verse quoted in pfal, all of the books, classes I had taken. They looked something like this: I Timothy 2:15 pfal Luke 24:49 what these meant. These were verses quoted in pfal. the verse quoted was the one the note was next to, the previous verse quoted was the first reference (I timothy 2:15), the next verse quoted was the one following (Luke 24.49). I said I had a complete 62 page pfal expanded sylabus transcribed in the loose leaf sections at the end? every note bullinger had for "also".. half of the figures of speech book. the acrostic psalms and writings.. ps 119 was far from the only acrostic composition..

He has to be at least 58 or so.. at least one would think.

I remember that last instructions after the "you probably won't remember, but.." part. "You had BETTER get it right, this time.." for the most part, I think I have.. with a shrinking microcosm.. I don't know how many more chances we get..
