  1. What was the actual "dilemma" supposed to be? I dunno. I looked that little publication over once. It was in the the victoids collection of black arts in the advanced class 1981. No kidding. It was on the table. Not too far from samples of automatic writing, strange (supposed) wiccan practices and the like.. it had vague references to Indian nationalism being the supposed "answer" to the dilemma and such.. I think the egotistical little bastard was trying to ride in on the coat tails of Gandhi or something..
  2. OK.. Induction is not too hard to understand. Suppose I wanted to prove that I could walk forever. I would have to prove that I am able to take the first step. Then assuming I took a certain number of steps, I would have to prove that I could take one more, which would be true regardless of any number of previous steps I have taken..
  3. every day is a winding what.. No Jack, or what Queen, can take this hand,
  4. what he wanted was the privilege and award, without any kind of accountability. It's a thing a lot of teen agers go through. They want the reward, the benefit, without the effort.. the investment. Instant success.. the dumb bastard had it for about one and a half seconds..

  6. Who are all of the "older" people in the first image? well.. curious Squirrels would like to know..
  7. I offer the best kind thoughts that I possibly can..
  8. speaking of tearing out a page.. the little book on the second floor of der almighty verd over da world auditorium.. it had a list of "contributors". My name was in this book. Is it, the book still there? Just wonder. as far as the moon is concerned.. I think they are more excited about finding water there.. enough water in some remote location in the cosmos, and in short order it can become a paradise..

    Song of the moment

I have no idea who he was singing about. I know who I am singing about.. I'm just not as optimistic..
  10. Nice to see an organization that loves it's people, or participants I guess.. with a *tiny* bit of prodding from this lame organization, I would have likely earned the master's degree twenty years ago.. no I'm not blaming them. They just lost out on a lot of "opportunity".. they will not see one red nickel, or penny of support. Or "spiritual" support from me.. if I end up being solvent here, the local soup kitchen will be serving a substantially better menu..
  11. was that the guy who came here the year after I was out?
  12. Is twi (rosie, donster) aware of this behavior? Do they approve of it? I mean.. these region coordinators(?).. I thought they had them on a very short leash. Have to give account for everything, to stay employed with renumeration under needs basis and all. Have to submit copies of paid water, utility bills, rent receipts.. Wouldn't a receipt for a "rent payment" to a "cop out" relative be at least a little suspicious to those charged with "authority"? What I really think it is. They are afraid of running any more top leadership off. Nobody with even less than a quarter of a brain would be willing to step in to take the position..
  13. The real reason? I think "joining" the way is supposed to be like taking a vow of poverty. Can't be distracted by worldly possessions or something.. the *true* followers are supposed to be priests and nuns, serving the doctrines of da way to the world..
  14. So far all I have seen in the *ministry* is that this "antedote" is merely an excuse for gawd awful ungodly sycophants to behave badly. The blood of Jesus is claimed to wash all of the hatred, malevolence and bigotry away.. can't say that's exactly what I observed there..
  15. then again, maybe it passed down through the bowels and colon of herr manogawd.. and ended up.. where?
  16. What was the "coolest" moment of the very last semester.. proving by induction that a midpoint convex function is convex, if it is continuous.. really.. I think it was at that point I was at least partially convinced that I knew what I was doing.. it was a proof with double induction. Before then, I had no idea what double induction even meant.. The professor there said something.. like.. "I don't even know if you can use induction like this with a function.." If I ever instruct a calculus class, I will show them how to prove the power rule for differentiation with whole number exponents using induction. Newton's series is way too much for something like that.. of course, that will be needed with fractional and irrational exponents.
  17. It came today.. seems it's been so long, but not so long.. time would have continued to drift along with or without the degree.. weird.

This is it, it arrived yesterday
  20. I can put myself in your shoes. Standing a drambuie ridden mostly rotten corpse up for public ridicule could be considered rather "morbid". On the other hand, what does that say about standing a drambuie ridden mostly rotten corpse of an intellectual pretender, abuser and worse up for public adoration? The laugh is not in ridicule. It is sincere..
  21. "Incorruptible.." can you imagine eternity, with a Squirrel nibbling and chewing at your brains.. It wasn't me that claimed it.. family, together forever and all..
  22. I dunno. Dried tuna preserves rather well if it is salted..
  23. I remember times.. I shouldn't say. Most Outrageous. One of them.. "born again, of incorruptible seed.." for their sakes, I hope what they were born with is not incorruptible.. It would be like living through ten thousand groundhog days, and waking up at the same place.. with the Devil Incarnate, being The Groundhog. Don't blame me. Squirrels are just observers here..
