I dunno.. I can't say they took my joy. Money, years, time I should have spent in higher education, yes, perhaps.. joy is a weird thing. All that would be nice. But I thought I'd give them the chance to do what is (at least partially) morally correct- give back the money. It wasn't a "Gawd's ministry".. It was a brothel, plain and simple. The upper ups were supplied with a steady diet of women, booze, money, *maybe* even dope.. they misrepresented themselves. I dunno.. the crisis of faith.. as weird as this may sound.. I think people have issues about just being *happy*. Nothing goes my way anymore.. let's rephrase that. about 89 percent of whatever it is does not go my way. in real life that says 11 percent does go my way.. sometimes less.. I'm happy when eight percent goes my way.. there is no crisis. Faith is.. Do I ever get mad at God.. it would make as much sense as getting mad at myself.. sometimes.

I wonder if j.l. has ever had to eat in a soup kitchen.. 3/4 the way through the master's program here, I had to.. I'm not complaining. Having food and raiment, I'm satisfied. Add on top of that a roof over my head.. for the moment. I'm ecstatic.. and a cheap, paid for economy car that does not burn a quart of oil every 500 miles.. and.. a landlord, who loves me enough to give me work to help pay off part of the rent, until I'm far better employed in the spring..
