  1. Johnny, I think I will try that Monday.. They already fight with birds, fiercely. I used to have some big crows come to contend with the squirrels. One day as I watched in amazement, one of the crows struck out at one of the squirrels. The squirrel was not intimidated. He (she?) dodged and parried, and bit that sucker up in the flank where the meat started- the crows give the squirrels plenty of room now, heh heh. So, did the black squirrels leave the strawberries alone, or did your mother just like them?
  2. Yep. No "sport" in it either, Trefor. I don't think I could do it, even if I was hungry.. these pair of rascals are the closest thing I can have to a pet at the moment, it'd be like, eating family, heh heh.
  3. Neither did I. Plus the treatment of "the law of believing"- he was better off just leaving it alone. "Faithfulness in believing" just did not make any more sense than "faith". As far as his "inspiration" is concerned, he would have done a lot better sticking ice down his pants..
  4. Well, perhaps it is just possible they can't come up with anybody more intelligent than ole loy to do a new one. All the Loy wannabes there, they'd probably rant about the same stuff. The big continent, eve doing the tango, etc. Nothing new.
  5. Quite true, but with such a small amount of actual meat, you have to "acquire" a dozen or so to get a decent meal. Must be a delicacy, some people actually think all this is worth the effort.
  6. Back in good ole W of Va, they should have tried this. I remember people just pumping 22 shot into the nests and complaining that they couldn't harvest their "catch".
  7. I'd agree with that if I did not see the university squirrels around here. They can barely make it up a tree.
  8. Life is so hard at the top- ptooie. Just wait..
  9. That's right, and they would probably agree with it to this day- the regular "believer" is not spiritually qualified enough to handle money. Therefore it is devilish to do so. You're better off giving it to "them" to hoard. And they can claim a real victory. Nobody, just nobody, that is a follower in that organization can be accused of living in gluttony, except for the few that are spiritually "qualified" to do so.
  10. Steve, that makes more sense than any other explanation I have heard for the insanity.
  11. In all fairness though, to me only part of PFAL was horse stuff. On the other hand, I found little in WAP that wasn't. I did actually get something good out of PFAL, just have spent the past couple years coughing up the junk that came with the good. I can't think of anything from WAP worth remembering. The ridiculous "science" of Loy, good grief. The debil bringing the ice, the one big land mass, the Eve is/was a lesbo thing, not worth remembering. The "subtle" conditioning- after ranting in a FOUNDATIONAL class, ole loy saying that you oughta "get used to this kind of presentation"- ptooie. No wonder it was a failure.
  12. "PFAL vs WAP" might work for a good bout on Celebrity Deathmatch.. As far as comparing, I think its comparing two completely different things, like comparing the quality of horse manure to that of Elephant feces. Though one point of similarity is obvious..
  13. Well, it seems pretty obvious to me. First, she has to spit out rug, and a lot of it at that, heh heh.
  14. If they do win, or even if TWIT settles, it might cause a response among old followers not unlike when the villagers came after the "poor" old monster en masse..
  15. You can find these new- Spenser's had them last year, and they are probably cheaper than what people ask for collectables.
  16. Well.. if they win a substantial and tidy sum, maybe they could "adopt" a housebroken, somewhat entertaining and amusing, kind to squirrels forty eight year old college student that would like to get a master's degree in chemistry before he turns seventy, heh heh.
  17. Heh heh heh heh heh. Where my kid goes to college, the squirrels are HUGE. Their proportions are closer to that of a basketball, not a squirrel. They are not as obese this time of year, but in the fall, they hang around a certain window at the cafetieria. The students feel sorry for them, and feed them entire ham sandwiches, bagels, and the squirrel's preferred meal, donuts. They are so big in the fall, they are usually the first thing visitors notice.

    23 Thousand?

Or scheming- how can you get far far more out of far far fewer people?
  19. Glad you liked it.. sometimes, these things just hit me, heh heh. I read the statement somewhere again about the face of evil, and I was actually in more of a serious mood. Then I looked over at this squirrel- and that was exactly what it looked like. He was entitled, like, "what are you waiting for?" If they weren't cute, well.. I think that's what happened to TWI, they lost their cuteness factor long ago. Don't see how anybody still throws their hard earned nuts that way, heh heh.
  20. Good idea. I think I may also try peanuts.. lots cheaper. Don't want to upset the "masters" around here too much, heh heh.
  21. I'll probably have to pay somebody to come here and feed the buggers while I am on vacation..
  22. Yep Belle. The things look so pathetic out there that they have convinced me to come in on my days off just to feed THEM. Sunday mornings they get their breakfast too, heh heh.
  23. Trefor, they are old fashioned red squirrels. I have seen a few black ones around here, but no gray ones. Dave, I put out sunflower seeds a few times, then even a couple of almonds. They were heart broken, heh heh. Back to walnuts. Well, it won't be much longer, they should be able to fend for themselves as spring progresses. But the squirrels are pretty rough around here. My exes mom recently refused to feed them, and the squirrel urinated on her through the screen. Maybe it was just looking for an excuse, heh heh.
  24. As costly as the "feed" is, I comfort myself with the thought that it is money TWI will NEVER see, heh heh. The squirrels have far more to offer.
  25. Yep.. I like these guys too- or rather, this "couple". One of them looked pretty scruffy last year, his coat was pretty worn. A steady diet of nutmeats seems to have greatly improved his condition. These are the only ones that come to the window. Either they are very territorial, or very good at keeping a secret.
