My shekels are on "Mr" Harve.. probably the only one with any charisma left.. of course, close exposure to ole rose may taken care of that little problem. Probably won't hear from ole rose, she and donna will just fade off to emeritus oblivion with little mention in Vey history..

The cost.. Way too high. Still think I was sold a bill of goods. If you were blessed, you were blessed, and those stinkers just kept trying to sell what you already had.. If you weren't, you weren't. I think some were not, and would never be no matter how much positive believing/justrenew your mind Wierwillian psychology was shoved down their throats. I dunno, in a lot of ways I am "blessed". Other weaknesses and problems were never solved, even with gargantuan effort. Well, I'm "blessed" to know I can't fix EVERYTHING now.. heh heh.

Open question to innies: Do TWIt leaders receive revelation?
Ham replied to Steve!'s topic in About The Way
Perhaps just a small logical point.. let's assume that they DO receive da big word of knowledge, word of wisdom, and discerning of internet spirits. Obviously, it cannot be wrong in the sight of the almighty to view or post here, as many have, and the almighty won't tell them A SINGLE WORD about it. -
Now Belle, I thought that was "You might be a PARTIALLY CULTURED redneck" kind of dysfunctionality, heh heh. I came from an educated, loving, stable as you could get family, but unfortunately, lost both parents at a rather early age- lost my father when I was twelve, and mother at seventeen. I guess this could be called dysfunctional at its worst. I think both my brother and I went kind of bananas.. he sure was not old enough to provide any stability. At least I did not expect him to do so. We have always been close, but we are a lot closer after me exiting a twenty some relationship with TWI.

You make a good point. The word "cult" carries a distinct danger when applied to somebody's personal beliefs, especially by comparing orthodox beliefs, but I have a problem. what in the world do you call an abusive group like the one we are discussing? Maybe somebody should coin a new word for them: "Selfrighteoussonsabitchesthatuseany formofintimidationandmanipulation theycanfindtomakemerchandiseofyou" I don't think its going to catch on any time real soon..

Unbelievable- at least almost. I listened to those tapes over and over- somehow I managed to miss this one. Must have not paid my bill, heh heh. But it does not suprise me very much now.. I remember ole Doc's claim that the books were open for examination by any grad of PFAL. Now we see what happened to people who took him up on his kind offer.

Signals, please put me on the not list. Other than me, I think you have many more friends here than you may think. Besides, hams really listen to signals.

Yep, House, that's about what I see too. The nice softer, almost humanized, words suggest some kind of false "repentance" of sorts.. "We're nice(er) now". But they are still up there in their cloud, at least temporarily, busy enough to ignore all the problems they promoted down here in the valley of human need.. Oh well. -

Belle, I would suggest that perhaps, just perhaps, they finally came to the conclusion that the "modern" informercial type of high pressure sales, loaded with "positive" veyspeak just doesn't do the job it used to. I think people are just plain worn out from being subjected to this kind of junk, an answer to EVERYTHING, promoting a product that they consider next to blasphemy to question in any way, results absolutely guaranteed until you do not receive them. Maybe they just can't muster up the excitement that they once had for an old, unworkable product. Maybe they are beginning to count up the lawsuits and the shekels.. Maybe they are getting a clue of what's really going on. Rosie may not outlive their dwindling nest egg, but the other guys most likely will. It would be far better for them to get a clue about what kind of abuse they heaped on thousands of people, but that would be wishing for a little too much. From the tone that I perceive from these articles, they are kinder and gentler, in word only. -

I notice not one of the articles are titled with "prevailing", "household", "victory", or similar Vey speak. Has the leopard indeed shed its spots? More likely, they have been reading some of our assessments here. Can't get much of an honest assessment out of a Veybot- "So, how was the article, what do you think?" "Well, I was so blessed. In fact, I was so blessed that I was blessed.." -
Hey Pat! Yep, too bad, heh heh. The thing they greatly fear would come upon them..
-
Heh heh heh heh heh.
-
I can almost hear one of the tactical meetings, trying to save any appearance of decency for the "organization" "Waaail, what are we a gonna doo ta save face round hyar?" "In all honesty and respect, you may wish not to speak, publically. And for God's sake, quit trying to smile".
-
Belle, Good question! I wonder how they can smile, at all. No retirement to speak of, no real friends, and very likely no family left that they have not royally pi**ed off. Doesn't even look like a smile, at least to me. Looks like they just swallowed a canary or something.. I think ole Rose caught on, and just gave up trying, to smile that is.. If you call this a smile, you've gotta be joking. Looks more like she just coughed up a furball.
-
Bob, you really oughta know better than starting a thread about the "little" old "lady" when I'm around, heh heh.
-
Well.. I probably introduced about fifty folks to da class. I can only think of five or six that really stuck with the "ministry". All that I followed up on are no longer in the cesspool, thank God..
-
Not that its so important, but I think I left out: Wearing a Mercedez hood element around her neck, and sporting two dozen or so body piercings.. Gruesome, heh heh.
-
The Impressive Clergyman- "wuv, twue wuv,"
-
Quite sad. Well, I guess that answers that question..
-
Well.. not too big of a stretch of the imagination for me. But I think it'd be more like, definitely not muscle, but hairy and tattooed, four-hundred and fifty pounds of mean and ugly lurching out of a rusty twenty year old Lincoln Continental, hell-bent on getting her "cut". THAT wouldn't take too much of a stretch of the imagination either.. in my opinion, heh heh.

This is part of the reaon I began thinking about this again. Acts 20: 29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. I just wonder how Timothy fit into all of this. I wouldn't say that we were exactly wallowing in truth before the death of Doc Vic, but look at the infighting, factions and strife that occured not much after. All this power jockying over the reigns of a little second rate cult.. I can only imagine what happened in the first century. Just kind of intriguing, besides a few words, you don't hear much more about Timothy. But with the fighting within and without, it could not have been very pleasant.

So, don't spoil it for the rest of us with the details, but- those who went, was it worth the wait?
-
Well, you can say one thing.. whether it was creatures of the cyberspace night, a team of psychiatrists, lawyers, the several hundred innies still in the hole called an organization- they probably got what they were looking for, heh heh.
-
No.. but that would be another good explanation for the spike.. a team of lawyers and such mining for something to work them over with.
