  1. When I first read the title of the thread, I thought it might be something like Brooke in one corner, Cruise in the other, some kind of boxing match. Cruise would probably hit the canvas a half a second after the bell rung.
  2. I really liked Brooke's reply. My God, he is worried about her CAREER- what an idiot. Last I understood, she acquired a not too shabby college degree. What about Cruise? I guess he went out and got a scientology degree or something..
  3. Well Raf, one good thing comes out of all this. Good old Tommy boy has held these insane doctrines up for public scrutiny. Maybe next time, somebody in scientology will have a leash on him..

    Its Field Day!

Well, I'm off. Have a good weekend folks, I know I will.
  5. "Yeah" or something I've always been partial to Martians.

U.P. is nice though. Did you know that Ohio traded it to us for Toledo?

Well, they don't make em like they used to!

Well, Rascal, not around here unless you have a boat and can go out on the lake. Now, the good old days in WV, I remember the bass in the little streams just about 2 1/2 feet long, or better!

Belle, I hear Florida has its own unusual landmarks- sink holes.

    PFAL Online?

Belle, I am studying Chemistry. I am about 3/4 the way to an associates degree, about 1/2 way to a bachelor's depending upon how much of it transfers to a large school. So far, all I took will transfer. I actually perform far better in math and physics- but the community college does not offer a two year degree in physics and math. Don't think they can. Then there's the masters, then the doctorate- but at this point, I am only dreaming..

Don't get me wrong, Michigan is nice, but MOST of it is geographically "challenged"- i.e., no hills.

    PFAL Online?

Well, I never did do any white-water rafting when I was there. Don't know if I ever will. I do go back about once a year to spend time with Aunt, Uncle, and cousins. Don't know how long I will stay in Michigan, but there really is not much holding me here. My kids are here, but we would still see each other a couple times a year or so.. I'd like to finish school here before making any big moves though.

Ah. How did you end up in Florida? I came to Michigan in 77 as a WOW. I miss my old home state sometimes- West Virginia. Its hot there, too.

For me, you really have to SHOW ME the product BEFORE I will buy it. Let's take it out for a test drive, see it really can run at 210 MPH on the expressway. Its a chance you must be willing to take. I took classes and such before, based on a person's claim that they were the greatest thing since sliced bread. Turned out to be quite an exaggeration. For me, not again. Well, Belle, hopefully it will be a little cooler in the morning. I plan on getting the major work done before 9 AM.

Well Belle, it is NOT raining here. It's darn hot, and I am still enough of a radio fanatic to go out tomorrow in the sweltering heat and try to put some wire up in the air..

Even if the answer is "spiritual understanding" or something like that, there has GOT to be a few details. Whether you are ridiculed or not is irrelevant. Truth stands on its own. If it is truth, it will withstand scrutiny. Let's hear it.

    PFAL Online?

Maybe I'm a newcomer here, but the only thing I observe is the same question being asked, repeatedly. Sometimes sarcastically, sometime with real care and concern. What is the answer?

    PFAL Online?

For the record, I have NEVER heard whatever answer it is. Other than "you'll be 'blessed'" or "you'll be suprised"..

    PFAL Online?

Sounds like a fair, straightforward question, to me..
  20. Raf, a Marvin really should not be THAT tough to produce. Heck, just take Stan, give him a pair of tennis shoes, a broom hat, paint him black in appropriate spots, and we probably couldn't tell the difference between him and the real McCoy.
  21. Absolutely. Staff: Think you have history so "rightly divided"? Go ahead and raise them like this. Wait till you see what they will do to you. With this Nazi belief, the old, the sick, the feeble- are EXPENDABLE. And you WILL be. Look at what "they" did to Mrs. Wierwille.

    Its Field Day!

Eight WPM? Still, that's pretty good. The FCC test only requires five. In these contests, they huff along at about thirty WPM or so. My first time in one of these things I had to listen to what they were sending about ten times or so before I could decipher it. Now I can sit and listen to it like somebody is just talking to me.
  23. Too bad my dad died so young.. I later found out he was in the army, and witnessed a lot of this stuff. Like a lot of the survivors, I think he just wanted to get on with his life, and he didn't make a big deal out of it. Maybe he thought I was too young to understand.. All I knew was for a long time he had a hard time sleeping.

    Its Field Day!

Steve, they still have a linked repeater system here, and through it you can talk to people with a little hand held, from Ohio to Wisconsin. For Field Day, I like the more "primitive" methods- morse code, no repeaters involved. Every year the older modes seem to outperform the newer voice and data modes. I usually make more contacts on morse code, than all of the voice and data contacts by others, combined.
  25. Good point. I know how stupid and embarrassed I was, for even just keeping quiet about this stuff. Some countries have gone to the extreme of outlawing holocaust denial. I don't exactly agree that this is the best route to take, mainly because I still hold to free speech, and think that all it produces is another "martyr" for the cause. but after looking at what its doing to these kids and others, it makes me wonder. I think education is probably the best fix for the problem. Too bad ole Loy and staff stood in the way of that solution.
