  1. However, if a persons experience was toxic enough, that may be the only option. For them, anyway.
  2. Exie, I'm trying to figure it out the same as the rest of us. Maybe the SOB was apologizing to himself.. I'm still trying to make sense of it. maybe there is no sense.
  3. Well, I for one, as a lowly squirrel, would never argue with the great Denny Crane. So, is J.L. not on the board? did he resign, or allow himself to be voted out? enquiring squirrels would like to know, or at least to understand.. I've been working over this big research project for my Literature class. Funny thing, every time I look over the work, my opinion has changed.
  4. I have only heard two "apologies". 1. When he pulled the sermon out of the "files of his mind" and condemned the poor alcoholic.. 2. "I wish I were the man I knew to be" that's it. All I know of.
  5. Probably had it there to remind him 24 is indeed 3 times 8..
  6. I should have added: "without incriminating herself either legally, or to the flock" It's kinda pathetic, the only thing interesting about the old "gal", is about the things she doesn't really have the liberty to disclose..
  7. Amazing how someone who DEMANDS openess from der flock about their job, finances, kids, sex life, potty schedules.. can't sit down for five minutes, be real, and tell somebody else about her personal life.. well, can't be too hard on the old "gal". Some witnessing incident in downtown podunk ohio was probably the most interesting thing she could come up with.. Oh, I'll give five points to the first person who names the figure the mod used in the title of the thread..
  8. Sounds like the LAST thing she wanted you to really know. Instead you get horror stories about the expression on somebody's face when they found rosie on the other side of the door..
  9. Understand them? I can't read them without a magnifying glass, can't believe I could write that small. Someday I'll scan a page so people see what real religious zealots can do to a bible..
  10. This may be silly, but really, thanks for the hard work.
  11. Don't just break off and eat the ears..

    Mr. Hammeroni?

I fixed the link: http://www.sugarbushsquirrel.com/ This guy's done everything.. like the Forest Gump of the squirrel world.. "I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy" But can he copy Morse code at forty five words a minute?
  13. I remember something like that.. called some governmental officials about something that really DEMANDED the call to be made. Yep, I got a call.. "shoulda called ME FIRST". Wasn't much more than a pimple on the arse of twi hierarchy for a long time after that.. But, I wonder if it's printed in the pfal book that way. I think it was modified to something like "all the resources of the kingdom" or something. Maybe somebody could kindly look it up, I don't have a pfal book anymore.. How some people even today think vic's the "real deal", all he had to do is make an offhand suggestion like that, and merely leave it to his followers to take it where he wanted it really to go. Then his royal smugness could sit back and let them do the dirty work and recruit the women into the mog's service.. Quite a few learned to satisfy themselves as well.
  14. I'm still kind of on a "sabbatical". "no new research" I think that what I took out of the vey experience, was not that I understood the bible, but I could certainly analyze it, pick it apart, structures, figures of speech, greek stuff.. I still could, but I don't care to, at least at the moment.
  15. An unrelated, or is it really unrelated, topic- vic was FURIOUS about Romans 13 translations, which said that people needed to be subject to secular government. By golly, it's gotta be gawd, or gawd's representatives that people should humble themselves before. I think there is a connection. "All the women (and everything else for that matter) of the kingdom belongs to the king.." The king represented government, did he not? OH. Naw, its gotta be gawd, or his representative.. Whether or not people were brow beaten with this verbally may or may not be documentable, but practically, I think the behavior and actions of loy, vic and others demonstrate it. They felt that they were ENTITLED.
  16. vic apparently did. And loy, and all the rest they could convince. On the surface "all the women of the kingdom, belong to the king" was a slightly "off" remark in the pfal class. Seemingly innocent.. but they took it to extremes in the inner circle.
  17. Well it makes sense to me, in a warped sort of way. 1. All da women belonged to der mog. 2. der mog passed the "mantle" along to loy. He certainly exercised his "priviledges".. 3. Upon loy's departure, he passes the mantle along, to whom? Women in der vey, if i were you, I'd run like hell...
  18. That was the strategy of the BOD at twi, was it not? Sad thing for CES, you are stuck with em. Can't vote them out.. at least three on top. Those who brought you "unique" mixture of personal prophecy and momentus are still calling the shots. If you can't fire incompetence, about the only remedy you'd have would be to walk away, and find another gig..
  19. I don't think I have any open sores left. I may have some scars. Heck, I'll even show them and swap stories.. "And I got THIS one tangling with a certain saber-toothed region coordinator.."
  20. Perhaps for a staunch mog lover. Every "vile" accusation of their beloved leader just is too much, too much pain. Opens just another unhealed, painful wound, full of pus and poison. Some will follow him all the way down a hole under the fountain. In clear light of glaring plagiarim, abuse, rape and worse, defend him to the death- "well, sumthin good came out of it, didn't it?" I'll modify my first post. I think SOME people worshipped vic, the ground he walked on, worship his works like they are God himself, and even worship the ground he's buried in. All of this, even over twenty years after his death.

    For Full Circle, heh heh

Yeah. Around here, they are just so busy busy busy in the fall. There is a walnut tree about half a block away, and by the time they are done, they probably can't remember where even half of the nuts are they've buried. But we have lots of new little walnut trees coming up. Shouldn't call them squirrels anymore, these guys are brilliant. I think they got a degree in Arboreal Engineering around here somewhere..
  22. Well, I wouldn't say worshipped, exactly. But with parades in his honor, titles lke da mog, "doctor", adherence to his "research" like it was the hand of God itself, and such, I think it was a close second to worship. Maybe you should publish a book. "vp is NOT God". It would start no small furor in some circles..
