I dunno.. from what I understand.. they take "works" very very seriously.. maybe not the priests and cardinals who sin.. but the "normal".. day to day "believer". Maybe.. kinda like us here.. or at least most of us. my other dear friend.. claims the Kaballah only authorizes.. not miracles, not utterances of the names of God.. but acts of loving kindness.. isn't this the same thing? just a thought..

I dunno. If they aren't, maybe that's the "problem". I had lessee.. four catholics, one *kinda* ex catholic, and one catholic "potential" in my house tonight. Me? I'm a Druid.. a Christian.. a Pagan.. a.. whatever label a person would want to put on me... Spiritualist.. An Atheist, a Pantheist.. gawd.. I'm screwed up.. heheh but these particular Catholics didn't ask me where my loyalty lied when they chose to share their lives with me.

I dunno.. I think I "got over it"- the way bashing of catholics, priests.. when I finally figured they didn't do anything to ME, at least personally.. no real problem here. But then I have to deal with what some of the priests did to others. It's like.. a whole different set of problems.. at least on a personal level.

I was at a "Weekend in da verd".. in what was it.. 1977? Her mogster got on stage.. and I'd swear.. I saw him dress himself with a suit made out of light. For a couple of years, I wondered what in the h*ll it meant.. now I think I know.

I thought that was what abs was supposed to be for.. partly at least.I also understand that many teachers were "adjunct".. i.e.. they lived off campus, holding a job or other ministry responsibility, and only came in to do their class once a year. And how much staff work was actually done by the volunteers themselves? I had thought that the produce went on the corps dinner tables.. I wonder if you guys can litigate for deprivation of wages.. The most galling thing about this, is the labor was.. FREE. Cost.. nada. And when the FREE labor happened to be inexperienced, or over-taxed, they had the temerity to actually complain and rant about the quality of service.

I find myself talking to one or both of my cats a lot lately.. Now this is just plain weird.. The lady cat of the house.. just got "fixed". I absolutely HATE docs.. shots.. medical procedures.. no, I don't hate them as human beings or anything.. but I'd almost swear.. this cat looked at me and said "thanks"..

Even if you thought it was a little slice of heaven, you can vote anonymously and not get lambasted or anything..

Interesting numbers so far. I personally gave it a "4" for perceived value. With the stated goals and promised results, it looked good.. I'd attribute it to the advertising. what's more interesting is the realized value. It would suggest to me that the product either wasn't exactly what it was advertised to be, or it simply did not live up to it's promised expectations.. I'd like to see a couple of hundred votes.. somebody needs to go campaign on that "other" site and tell them some deadbeat Squirrel needs help..

pretty big assumption, on all counts, at least in my opinion.. some people might just think they hear the screams of gramps as debils work him over.. "Noooooo.. don't do it boy..... NOOOOOOO.." But then again, that just might be some people's opinion too..

The whole key in this, in my opinion, George, is not to hang on very tightly. Usually something better comes along..

Hmmm.. how about.. go a whole YEAR without speaking in tongues. Don't do it for ANY reason.. intercession, prayer.. etc.. and see if you are any less "spiritual" (or perhaps more) at the end of the year than you were before.. just a thought. :) Perhaps there is a legitimate "biblical" usage for it.. but I think the way we used it, it just got in God's way..

I imagine it would. I got about half of my credits from a junior college here, at 1/4 the price. I also inquired if the credits would transfer. They documented that they had an equivalency agreement with almost every other accredited college in Michigan. When I hit the level of credits that no more would transfer, I transferred to the larger four year university.I could have put in about 15 more hours and gotten an associates, but would have lost them. Suppose it depends what it is one wants to do. I would really really like to teach on say, a junior college level someday, at least to start. A degree from pikes peak arithmetic and divinity school would hardly open the door.

Plus, by coming here, you can pretty much gague the satisfaction level of customers who bought another product that remarkably resembles your own. I think the product needs a *little* tweaking..

I'd only add.. here is about the only place you'd get an honest critique of the "product". It's kinda outside of the loop of the self admiration society that many seem to rely on for encouragement and sustenance. Those in some splinter groups might think it, but they won't say it.. it's really impolite. If my internet site looked like I was dredging for volunteers to split and stack my firewood, haul off the old cars, herd my animals for me, and toss them to the curb when I was tired of them, or the farm was finally done, I just might really NEED somebody to tell me.. it's kinda like body odor. The polite thing to do is to discretely say something like "hey, ya know, soap and water has been in fashion for a couple of years. You might want to try some on.."

damn.. one lifetime after another I've chosen a losing cause.. maybe we all have..

Friend.. we were scattered to the four winds.. and's that's part of the initial agreement with this new little slice of "heaven"..
