Praise and worship can be addictive to the recipient. Not to mention, it can have a corrosive effect.. or cause corruption in the object of one's praise.. Not cause.. maybe that's not exactly right.. that would be blaming the to be victim bestowing such praise..

I know about all of the thank you cards filled with lavish praise and gifts to Martinfale. I just wondered it the same kind of praise and financial renumeration were sent to the vicmeister back in the day.

How "big" is da way. There might be a few ways to answer this question.. Very, very small. In fact, in a desperate need of Viagra, Cialis. or the current drug of choice. I hear some offer herbal alternatives. Small.. enough to drown in a bathtub, thanks to reducing it by over fifty percent within twenty years. By those "in charge". They went nutzo with this. Not only buying tapes, but high speed tape duplicators. The one corpse guy I knew who bought one also bought a closet or two of cheap sixty minute cassette tapes, bulk, without cases. They were not good enough quality to record music on.. When the hoopla settled down, he was trying to figure out how to sell a couple closets full of useless, cheap sixty minute cassettes..

I think that model appealed to us when we were immature minds. Now the difference seems to be welcomed. Weird.. In a strange way.. sowy. I'm looking for something different.. maybe it could be a path out of this madness..

I like the idea of recycling "old stuff". I picked up and old usb 2.0 external CD writer from the Salvation Army resale store: Two Bucks. The CD was broken, no good. Ah.. but I had a 200 GB hard drive I harvested out of an old computer the local computer shop tossed out. So out goes the rotten IDE CD.. in goes the hard drive. No special power supplies needed.. a standard computer power cord powers the now external hard drive unit.. its only half full.. videos, movies, music.. old and new windows drivers for every bit of hardware I come across.. old papers.. tons of pdf files from scans.. its like a flash drive on steroids. The read and write time is about five times faster (or more) than that of a usb flash drive. And it plugs into any usb port, and is readable on any computer..

In mathematical terms.. understanding difficult verse in light of many clear verses.. would be like trying to understand Cantor's set theory and transfinite numbers in terms of elementary arithmetic. how can you add a number and itself and get the same number.. *everybody* knows one and one makes two.. that was Kronecker's argument. Kronecker was a moron..

In my opinion, it is a cheat. A refusal to accept, or understand a supposed difficult concept. Hold it bound to some elementary concepts.. maybe "things" are not as simple as one is led to believe..

I dunno. Not a sin issue.. the longer I live, the more I abhor the kind of vile beast I have been at times, or even have the potential to be.. other than that, I think I am generally happy..

Ah, the blast. I assembled The Device. I knew the possible consequences.. the consequences were far less in the early70's. the neighbors already accounted weird smells and violent discharges pretty much a normal occurrence on our city block. No. I didn't light the (greatly extended) fuse. Its like yesterday.. the device went off. Brother barely survived.. he was now in College. First year.. well. to see flames extend their selves, around his then over-weight self.. sowy. If you saw it or experienced it, you would never forget it. Thankfully, the Chemistry path rejected me.. some of the humans on the planet should be glad. a few childhood science experiments.. ended up with a blast that left a three inch crater in a solid concrete sidewalk.. I know some chemistry.. the path rejected me for one reason or another.. I've said enough about me.. what about you? I'll say more if you wish.. there was the time I turned orange juice into moonshine.. heh. It cost me a one inch scar in my right hand.. I just looked.. it is still there.. and still about one inch wide..

It's kinda weird. Shortly at the end of my way days.. I went back to school.. had no idea where the path would lead. I went to the community college on pell grants.. in a chemistry path. The grants went away mainly because my spouse didn't have a need for me anymore. Or some such reason. So I could not afford the environmental disposal fees for chem labs on my own. So I took what I had.. about 40 credits of math and general studies, to the closest four year school. My major changed from chemistry to mathematics. so two years later.. I have a bachelors in math.. what does one do with a degree in math.. not any local opportunities. The six (or ten, depending upon your point of view) year university offered a half a job, and no charge for classes.. ah.. a Field Promotion. A one week miracle training, and then instruct two classes.. I never taught a class in this manner. The first semester of teaching, the graduate assistants are HORRIBLE. I didn't choose the path, the path chose me.. the real strange part is.. this is the third year I'm on my own in the math profession.. and I feel like I've been doing it for thirty years.. sorry for the diary. What does a corps grad certificate really "entitle" to an individual, and why? Just what I have observed.. some use it for a few different reasons.. Proof that an individual has survived four (or more) years of hazing, and have acquired the right to inflict the same kind of austerity and cruelty upon others.. A basis for requiring an income and worship from others because one is qualified to do so (j.l. and others) then there are exceptions. A few individuals I know consider the experience to be a small bump along the road of life..

Oh. corps graduate.. a plagiarizer, trained by a plagiarizer.. I guess that is some kind of degree.. really though.. what did he really "earn".. put up with enough of the old man's ill temper.. and one is entitled to what? A title perhaps? Entitlement.. that word has been thrown around a lot lately..
