pretty simple.. 1. Maybe they were beat down with the "word" like it hadn't been known since the earth cooled to be a submissive, "happy" wife.. 2. Maybe the person is just a very, very good actor. Award them an oscar. 3. Maybe there were other reasons.. who knows.. 4. Perhaps a high tolerance for pain and frustration. The kind of person who could take an emotional drill without novacaine.. who knows..

Very nice Mark. Now, at the end of the story, Unlike the Grinch, I think der vey's heart stays two sizes too small..

despite one's best efforts (for the most part) sometimes one just doesn't find out until twenty five years, and two or three children later.. they've been horribly unhappy and dissatisfied for YEARS.. and there were NO clues. Just strategy.. maybe we're all nuts.. I can see in that in one's psyche.. not willing or being able to be "kept" or *really* loved... but trying to convince oneself otherwise. I can see how a woman would feel trapped.

then again.. maybe sometimes, this "Romantic sociopath" gives them an illusion of something which merely does not exist in real life.. "he's sooo attentive.. gives soooo much.. etc.. etc.. etc.... why can't my Joe be like that.." maybe "Joe" just can't compete.. of course the sociopath can't either.. not after keeping up the initial pace of showering the person with affection, gifts and all kinds of "communication".. that's why it doesn't last..

I don't think it's entirely about being clueless. Perhaps some women just don't want to (or can't be) "kept".. maybe.. sometimes, they trash the finances and budget so one CAN'T give them the little considerations due them.. maybe sometimes they are just not "happy"..

If I were to conduct an interview.. I'd ask him what his opinion of vic is today.. after thirty years, has he ever come to the realization he followed a sleazy, narcissistic, plagiaristic scumbag? or does he regard the vicster as one who gave him his start, and one who taught him politics like it hasn't been known since the earth cooled? Or has he really just forgotten it all.. as far as "flaky beliefs".. I wouldn't judge his CHARACTER based on them.. I may laugh.. but I laugh at my own as well.. just the best I have until something better comes along..

What I find interesting.. is the height of "success" those under vic's tutelage rose to.. we have one of his "best".. that still swears by the simply renamed "new and improved" old snake oil better than all other snake oil since the earth cooled.. his "old guard".. hell bent on resurrecting a failed flawed corps training system.. probably just don't know how to really do anything else.. other of his "best" moved on to more bizarre, and more failed and false prophecies and such.. now this gaggy.. he seems to haven't budged much from the same conspiratorial theories for thirty years.. maybe he oughter "get with it".. but it's the same mentality.. bushkie, upon inquiries "what part do WE have play in this (war on terror)?" "just go shopping.." now this character.. how does one fight the terrrorists? "just go have babies.."

what to do with 21 million.. depends on what one considers an investment. what I'd do.. invest about a couple million in renewable energy.. In Michigan, you'd need a combination of wind and solar. Solar doesn't work very well here in the dead of winter.. then if the market doesn't look so good.. gold is always a fairly good choice.. but then... if I had that much money to throw to the wind.. I'd buy up about a million dollars worth of gm stock about now.. it's pretty obvious that the government is going to prop them up.. it can only go up..

so... we have "staff" who very likely will not survive mid life crisis.. a VERY young egotistical arrogant ego fed monster who can't fend for himself if his life depended on it.. a dozen or so of "willing" followers.. it doesn't look "good" -

They'll call it "on the job training" or whatever the "work program" (work will set you free you know..) will be called. ah.. junior. BARELY out of college.. only a year or two I think.. did a stint in the cff fellowlaborers program.. lessee. Job? Not likely.. probably did some work/study program in school.. who knows.. but considering he's not raising a family that I know of.. basically responsable for feeding and clothing his own arrogant self.. now probably not even that. what the *%#& is a NEOPHYTE doing in this kind of position of authority? I'd slap him silly.. but after two or three emails he cut it off.. and I was even "nice" about it.. they've fed his ego.. God have mercy on them.. -

I wonder how many acres the sowers farm has.. -
Forgiveness can be wonderful.. but I still think one should count the cost. What in particular is one actually forgiving FOR? "I forgive you for being a jerk"..is kinda vague.. emotionally sweeping whatever "it" was under the carpet.. at times it ends up like the guy who started to build who didn't count the cost. Maybe that's what people have to go through sometimes.. but it's like a debt. Do we forgive it, or do we not? Maybe that's just too simplistic.. maybe forgiveness isn't written in black and white concepts..

so much for being "especially good to the household".. I don't think they try to justify their hypocrisy anymore.. they just roll in it..
-
I dunno.. it would be nice to be able to say "no thanks.. keep your blood sucking teeth to yourself"..

I could document it, but it isn't my story to tell. I'm just aware of it..

perhaps... but when it extends to grown adults fifty and sixty years old it makes me wonder.. -
well.. you got me to look Excie.. apparently the "latest" on 12/9 on the internet says she admits to "tipping the scales" at 200 pounds.. hey, that's more than me, and I'm six foot zero inch when I get out of bed in the morning.. about 5"11 and a half at the end of the day.. maybe she can afford to eat more than I.. or maybe she just has more time on her hands..

on his profile.. I think it was either myspace, or on the cff site.. somewhere.. the kid named gramps as one of his HEROS. Above pops.. Isn't that slightly "troubling"? it would be like naming Jeffrey Dahmer as one's hero.. isn't that kinda "sick"? Same for the rest of those numbnuts who think all of vic's "problems" were the women's fault.. it would be like claiming Dahmer's victims were to fault, because they were young and tasty.. -

what I'm trying to figure.. how can someone.. in their RIGHT MIND name their own kid after the vicster.. it'd be like me naming my precious offspring after Al Capone or something.. jp KNEW how abusive gramps could be.. I'm sure he knew of the comings and goings.. even back when I was still in the "ministry".. I thought naming the kid vp was kinda off color.. now it just looks plain NUTS..
