    Half a God

Half a god.. hmm. maybe.. in the old days, when travelling preachers roamed the earth, for sustenance.. now in the house there were two mogs, with a god. One, in a Drambuie stupor, overlayed their god. Seeing any god is better than a dead one, he switched his for the other. A living dog is better than a dead lion, fer crying out loud.. the next morning, the mog considered his dead god. It was not the likeness of the one which he thought he remembered. "aha" said he.. and clamored at the ruler of the land's court.. "he overlayed his god, and stole mine." Continully they litigated, from court to court.. finally the supreme judge ordered the god divided, and the resources equally distributed to each party.. at which, the vicster cried out, "fine. As long as I get the good half.."
  2. but it would be fitting.. in more way than one..
  3. I dunno. Maybe some of us were like "sleepers" or something..
  4. I think its a valid point as well. Well, maybe a HANDFUL grow old in da way.. there's rosie, the donster, and why they keep howard the duck around I have no idea. Maybe when he's old enough to forget where the skeletons are buried, he'll be put out as useless too.. but long term staffers and families. What about them? I know some who are in their late fifties, early sixties, sent out "on the field" basically to fend for themselves. Why is this? The real pathetic part of this.. some around here STILL can't see it for what it is, and still try to peddle twi's wares. In their fifties and sixties, I think they begin to present the "household" the *significant* burden of age, sickness, and eventually having to put the right spin to their deaths. So bub..and I KNOW you're reading.. that's the ONLY reason rosie and gang pressured you out.. with tactics which I will not outline here. They just didn't want to have the "burden" to put the right spin on it at your or loved ones funeral.. you just happened to be a nice guy, and not know where enough skeletons are hidden..
  5. I really thought about sending a copy of that to one of my former english professors, and see what he had to say about it, but I didn't want to see him have a heart attack.. "death by composition"..
  6. I think one would normally have a trusted, honest individual review something like that before publishing it. Was there even any kind of review here? Maybe he's *above* that.. not how he thinks *god* breathes or something..
  7. Yep.. but this last "great" epistle of sorts.. my opinion.. it was like someone took the broken ramblings of a drunken sailor, regarding lost love or something, and just ran it through the spell checker.. as far as grammar and spelling.. it passes the microsoft first hurdle..
  8. But the vast majority passes microsoft word spell checker. heh.. I think that merely shows what a NOVICE jl is.. even after all these years..
  9. hmm. "Now, due to Dick and Jane's adherence to the present truth and one true household, miracle self-flushing potties are sprouting up in ordinary places, like malls, shopping centers, and gas stations.."
  10. I dunno.. I found a lot of twi's materials rather intellectually un-stimulating. The rise and expansion book, which I no longer have a copy seemed full of dull, lifeless drivel, with an occasional sprinkling of a few Greek words, or a little known or noted figure, like symperesma. Maybe it was mainly the loyster's supposed works.. so full of chaff and drivel, it was a genuine labor to try to milk anything worthwhile out of it.. a kindergarten book.. "Dick and Jane learn how to flush the potty" would prove intellectually superior.. short, maybe one or two examples.. and then to the point.. and then you don't labor the point for another sixty pages.. I mean.. enough is enough, isn't it?
  11. I just wonder what he is going to do, or even can do for a living when they put him out.. maybe like harve.. he'll try to convince some collection agency he has experience being an a***hole..
  12. I picked up music listening habits that I left off with involvement with der way. Beatles, Grateful Dead, James Gang, Joe Walsh.. Yes.. among others. My taste in music is slowly catching up.. I started listening to eighties, ninties stuff.. Crowded House, REM and others. I also tried some kind of Buddhist meditation a couple of times.. I think that burned out a couple of links in my circular reasoning I had built up for a number of years in da way.. then there was the time I .. I won't say here. But it pretty much burned away the rest of the religious paranoia.. all I'll say, it was legal.. Also, I went back to college. Its almost like I hit the rewind button.. I'm doing what I should have done in the 1970's. I stone cold quit speaking in tongues. For any reason. About three years ago. No noticeable ill effects.. no withdrawal, no spiritual "disasters" or lack of "discernment".. in fact, everything seems clearer now. That's about it, here..
  13. Sooo.. its been another (roughly) three months.. any soap yet? Are they still on the highway of litigation? jl seems to be hidden under a rock somewhere.. you'd think they'd just learn how to "get along" after all of that "biblical' teaching and all.. have they even picked up the phone to (heaven forbid, or the lawyers forbid) TALK? How is it, I have the feeling they are going to take this little feud with them to the grave..
  14. Sometimes I think there is something to it.. the rewired brains that is.. though I wouldn't put everybody in that category. But I've met several, and closely followed and challenged their circle of "logic" in a complete loop.. I've seen some kind of burn out, blow a fuse of sorts.. Maybe it's a type of personality. It requires the "certainty" in life, that only circular reasoning can supposedly provide.
  15. Maybe this has been done before.. but I'd like a few more specific statistics. Note. You may vote more than once. Some went through the program, and may even have graduated twice.. or part through once, or part through twice..
  16. The thing about all of this.. there is no functional "church" to bring these issues up with. It's "loosely" affiliated with likely a half a dozen offshoots.. they must think *they* are *the church* or something like that.. if you "counselled" the *young man* (or rather, the aging morons around him) to just "follow his heart, if gawd called you to do this nonsense, by all means, go for it.." I don't want anything to do with you. You are for the lack of better words with my understanding.. "nuts".. if you are just a bystander and merely advertise his little crock of an "adventure" without some kind of honest inquiry, the same words are for you.. sorry, you're not God. I don't answer to you.. didn't you see the results of this kind of effin moronic nonsense the first time around?
  17. So the year has passed.. you've done your *little* youth event thing.. sang *doc* vic's praises.. had a few "rousing" teaching of sorts. Everybody looks so "blessed".. "happy". If that's your measure of success, it doesn't impress me. Even Manson could chase up a few enthusiastic followers.. he could keep the "family" in line.. his way, or the highway.. sound familiar? My opinion.. you are operating with even less accountability than a year ago. No answers then to reasonable questions. I am left to assume it is only worse.. Led by a group of aging, bitter disenfranchised victims of a fiendish multi-level marketing program with a thin veneer of religion.. and that's what it was, in reality. So you've got the first set of marks ready, out to recruit the next level.. a tight little "inner circle".. who likely have sworn their lives, fortunes and sacred honor to your organization.. tell me if I'm really that far off the mark here..
  18. From your Fox 61 link.. Interesting.. no denomination, they likely have zero accountability. Explains in part to me the unrestrained "nuttiness"..
  19. I didn't have parents, or even pseudo parents at the time..
  20. and, you failed to mention the rounding up and burning of black cats to rid the land of "spirits" in preparation for Easter in the middle ages. Slowly, this custom evolved into what was once called "uncle harry day". Later, a day to burn the chaff, or was it, get the shaft.. I've heard linder, and now quite possibly his replacement, have a certain propensity toward "dispatching" supposedly unwanted cats. Is there some connection in all of this? Probably a remote one..
  21. No matter what you think of Geo.. I regard him as one of the most "spiritual" people I've ever met.. and we probably disagree on almost everything..

    Post Upgrade Issues

How about a "fair weather" report.. "everything is OK here.." they hate that on weather nets here.. no "scary" clouds or anything..
  23. He can speak in *real* tongues..
  24. sounds like you were actually surprised.. personally, I can't take too much issue with a fellow who has pretty much a working knowledge of Japanese, as a second language.. :)

    May I ask?

I've supposedly graduated too. They put my name in the program, and in real life I passed the last three classes.. but they haven't shipped the final diploma yet. It's been about a month and a half.. at least once, I've waken in a sweat, from a rather lucid, vivid dream, where the instructor has explained to me why I am failing the last (needed) class..
