I wonder who is next..
-
so it sounds like they shifted the focus to jl's odd, arrogant, obnoxious behavior. I wonder how much of their own was discussed.. these guys on the board and such are what.. in their late fifties, sixties? And they've been in the "business" since when? Yet people seem to hold out hope for some kind of change.. I really think they will exhibit the same nuttiness, as long as people are willing to pay them to do it..

I wonder how it went so far this morning.. Did they have a 6 a.m. flag raising ceremony, along with fervent prayers for the president, and those in authority in this country.. prayers for gawd's protection on the household of stffi.. a big banner behind the podium "da word speaks (but we's not wistening..)" Maybe what I'm asking is.. are they SERIOUSLY going over the real issues, or are they trying to perpetuate the same nonsense?

Questions (legitimate or otherwise)
Ham replied to Tzaia's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
the sad thing.. they'll ring the Pavlovian "biblical" bell.. and most will emerge from that meeting, tears running down their face, sobbing about how the "presentation" was like it was, back in the good old days.. what I further wonder, will it end with some kind of guilt ridden appeal- "well, what are YOU doing to move da wordagawd? It's EASY to sit on the sidelines and criticize those in the "heat of the battle".. taking onslaughts from da debil spirit relm.." I can almost hear it.. tell me it isn't (or wasn't) so.. -
Questions (legitimate or otherwise)

and why is it going to take TWO DAYS in MEETINGS to answer a few *simple* questions? they won't give answers.. they will give TEACHINGS. They've got a whole day and a half to wrap peoples brains around a dozen or so taken out of context, twisted interpretations of a half a dozen sections of scripture or something.. I wonder if they'll start the session with a "believer's meeting".. or something like that.. -
what kind of questions? http://www.greasespotcafe.com/main2/the-off-shoots/christian-educational-services/questions-for-the-board.html but I can see how it really will go.. "now, let me anticipate your questions.. why was our actions in regards to jl correct and biblically justified.." he'll probably launch into an hour "sharing" of scripture or something.. at the end, "now do you have any further questions?" the poor drooling on their bibles from acute boredom group.. "nawww..... that's about it....."

So how did you celebrate the "holiday"? well.. there is a black cat in the house. I can't say I "own" her.. she crossed my path a few times today. That's ok.. just "guiding" me to the morning feeding.. If I used salt on my food, I would have insisted on spilling some. No ladders towards any location, alas..
-
so is this the famed (infamous) *meeting* they've planned? sounds to me.. they've shifted the focus from legitimate questions to the for lack of better words, John Lynn Circus of events.. tell me it isn't so..
-
the thought of rosie.. being "frisky".. based on an over ten year old photograph.. it hurts for me even to think about it..
-
What makes me wonder.. when the *mighty* rozilla passes from this life.. what is to come after her..
-
hmmm. Seventy some years old.. isn't it at this point.. kinda beyond "pathetic"? just saying.. I mean.. what can one really do at seventy.. what's the deal here? maybe all that's left is a long forgotten sense of loyalty or something..

New front page article: Nostalgia for TWI Research Raises Questions
Ham replied to pawtucket's topic in About The Way
How many did you count? I count (a disturbing) three. but I guess it all depends on what you are counting.. -
before his "assumption" into his "exalted" position.. didn't he admit to whiteside something like "did you know three times attempts have been made on my life.." or something like that? yep.. the young "tender" years in the denomination.. probably some angry husband or something..
-
how do you know that? I'd cite the vicster on how *little* sins are as bad as *big* ones.. but maybe that would be fruitless.. he raised "those who would EXECUTE you" IF they lived in old testament times.. you know. The homosexuals.. then the "compromised"..then the "worthless".. then those who happened to be "inconvenient" ..
-
I had one really weird dream.. everything was in it. Yep.. everything.. my bike I had "chopped" in the sixties.. yeah, we did some silly stuff with bicycles.. and everything else.. all the old electronic junk I'd dragged home from various shops and dumpsters was there.. the two motorcycles I had owned in the past.. and everything else I had come across in this life.. the ex wife.. all the junk she hoarded.. weird, weird, dream.. but I guess it all was "me".. heh..

Sometimes I feel like the Water Boy............................
Ham replied to crystalclearblue's topic in About The Way
Some of us water boys are teaching math 105, and desperately trying to follow some professor in Real Analysis, Combinitronics and/or Modern Algebra II.. Don't ask about next semester, if it is to be.. I'll stay as long as they love me. Well, maybe that's asking too much.. as long as they will have me.. -
Either way.. let me be polite. "Welcome to Greasespot Cafe" I hope your stay is as pleasant as possible..
-
You did put your opinions out on the world wide web for us rodent types to examine, didn't you? don't underestimate the rodents.. who do you think really runs the world. what you might be experiencing.. isn't analysis.. maybe its "we don't have to put up with your kind of subtle or not so subtle god like arrogance.."
-
That was my next level of questions..
-
If you have to solicit donations to give the thing a "kick start".. I'd say it wouldn't exactly be "godly".. Looking at ces, others.. once it's a "business".. it's really done for.. The moment you start charging for paper supplies, ink.. staples, binders.. you're really done.. if you can't afford a couple of bundles of paper, a cheap computer and printer.. maybe you should be able to afford it first..
-
I dunno.. but I have a few thoughts. 1. Don't charge. Anybody, for anything. No money for classes, books, etc. etc.. ever. 2. I wouldn't pass a plate or horn of plenty under any circumstances.. and if people offered money, I'd suggest giving to the Salvation Army, some kind of world children's fund, or SOMETHING of substantial character and effect.. maybe a denominational mainstream church.. That much would remove about 95 percent of my apprehension regarding anything considered "ex way"..
