some of us do.. there are more than a few reasons I absolutely refuse to dump my cellphone and pick up the newest, bestest version without which I can still enjoy the same benefits from using the computer my neighbor threw out, of course after wiping hard drive and all, and installing linux.. *we* at least here.. are so damned *fat* that silver is just lining the streets.. and most can't see it..

Interesting book.. if you read the back bookcover.. Hawking holds a Newton's chair as Lucasian Professor Mathematics at Cambridge University.. Considering this is a "math" book.. I can find only one equation or formula anywhere.. the whole book relies on the reader's knowledge and intuition.. in other words, a mathematical novice or layman can understand it.. So that is one thing on my "to do" list for spring break this coming week.. do some math homework.. figure out lesson plans for twelve days from now, read entirely through Hawkings brief history of time, and make my 10,000th post on Greasespot Cafe.

Stephen Hawking wrote A brief history of time. Ever read it? Supposedly the universe was once a singularity..

I wonder what the average age of those on staff is.. does anyone know? Considering they devoted a lot of a way rag to try to suck in new blood.. my guess would be the age of current staffers must be above the fifties..
