  1. It's amazing the sources you find a little bit of truth.. *A Parable* "Imagine a society in which the citizens are encouraged, indeed compelled up to a certain age to read(and sometimes write) musical scores. All quite admirable,. However this society also has a very curious law-few remember how it all started- and the disturbing law: Music must never be listened to or performed!" This was from Tristan Needham in his preface to Visual Complex Analysis, regarding mathematics.. isn't this what we've had for one century after another..

    Countdown!!!!

ha! My offspring has the chance of dying in some kind of advanced mathematics stillbirth.. good luck to you.. hope you get what you want and need..

Hey.. if you are from Oregon.. do you (or did you) know Martin Erb? He was a wow with me in Midland Michigan..

  4. Heh.. in my case, they are damned lucky.. can't claim that for the rest of da spirits..
  5. I dunno.. it seems to take more power than *self* to perform this forgiveness.. for the most part.. I had a dream several nights ago.. it was about a character who I owed a stinking insignificant $10.00 he took a post dated check I had written and crossed out the date.. it ended up costing me $110.00 + including court costs..
  6. I love forgiveness.. just don't take it back.. forgiveness.. is for lack of better words.. some serious s*it.. do you forgive.. or not.. what is it that you are forgiving for, and why? I won't say where *true* forgiveness, from other parties would logically end up at.. but I was not malevolent, only clueless..
  7. I dunno. Seems kind of *odd*.. in love with a dead man.. including Schoenheit.. Lynn.. "nobody.. does it better.." maybe it was their first "experience".. The victoid didn't just screw a lot of women.. he screwed a lot of men too..
  8. Yeah.. he(?) showed her(him?) the night of his(her) life. decades later they still are still in love..
  9. Ha! well.. chrissy poo is just an old woman.. laid once long ago, by herr vicster.. sowie.. it's just an impression I have..
  10. rosie the Terrible would win before the bell sounded in the first round.. she(?)'d have Chrissy Poo by the same appendages she had loy by.. she's a man's woman.. or is that a womans man.. or is it something else..
  11. I'm still trying to figure out mathematically what it it is to have, to begin with..
  12. That is good.. I think... mathematically, she won't stand a chance, nor has she to my satisfaction..

    Thank gawd for beer..

it gives a graduate student a few brief moments that one doesn't care.. sorry. I direct the quote to one character who somehow ended up in the Big Corporation..

Welcome Friend.. I hope you aren't "mandering"..

    :biglaugh:

  15. any thoughts here? The Mother country populated the colonies with those who would work an honest job.. make a legitimate (in terms of mother) pay.. a culture.. that one society could harvest the efforts of another.. how is that so far different from the Petri Dish argument? Yes it is VERY one-sided. As far as the prof and those who chose to "stand in the gap".. ect martindale's source and "supplier" ends up in oppulence.. Colonial chirstianity? I think da way is an object lesson here.. Very good thread Skyrider.. sorry.. the edit screwed things up.. quoting me for gawd's sake..
  16. If I'm forced to mathematically figure it out, you don't have a chance.. something about figuring out how to figure something out, clubbing around in the dark.. it always works.. if one is not involved, please stand your distance..
  17. sometimes I have the same temptation.. but the almighty has blessed me with the inability to remember names and faces together.. no kidding..
  18. It makes sense to me. One populates a Petri dish with a culture that.. one is *intellectually* interested in.. what is it going to do.. or.. a culture from which one anticipates a monetary return of investment.. then there is the experiment gone "wrong" where the spores, through procedural incompetence are released into the environment..
  19. I think of colonizing in different terms.. say a Petri dish.. It's probably the same thing..
  20. I'll accept that honor. Thank you sir.. If it were a flying squirrel, yes, I do. Sometimes on a DC-10 or something.. Never first class, always somewhere back where it's safer if they make a *mistake*
  21. this one fits slightly. More closely resembles the moneyhands *assignment* to the UK.. gawd have mercy on them..
  22. Phoenix rising? I think this is more appropriate..
  23. maybe they need a few lessons.. "we don't eat our cat, mini-me.." it's the only clip I've ever seen from that movie..
  24. Well.. I've had to apologize for bad manners before. Even if it was something I wasn't entirely aware of at the time.. I mean.. maybe what da bod needs is a "couth' lesson..
