  1. I generally accept the label only in a cultural sense.. generally that is the belief of the society that I sprung from.. culturally, yes. Mom and Dad went to church.. my brother still does sometimes.. most of us "came out" in the sixties.. I am not Atheist. That would imply I'm smart enough to figure there isn't a god.. I'm just not that intelligent.. nor claim to be..
  2. Perhaps. That still does not explain Georgia.. ha! Now what did Georgia ever do to deserve this?
  3. what I see in this.. they've chosen a rather wide variety of venues. That is, as wide a variety as six "teams" can invade (ahem, witness to).. maybe it's their last gasp for breath.. or close to it.. they want to reach either any or all of.. a rural community a retirement village a *very* college (intellectual) community.. whatever Georgia and Austin Texas have to offer.. maybe they want to know who really wants them.. as an organization..
  4. ha! well.. Idaho, I really can't figure.. they are supposed to get JOBS aren't they? just seems.. out in the cold October weather in the middle of nowhere so to speak.. what's it cost to go "wow" anymore? even in better economic times I had a hard time trying to find a part time job in late August and September to cater to my needs..
  5. I wonder why they even persist.. I wonder even more how they came up with the bizarre variety of locations. They don't seem to have anything in common.. You have a college town, a retirement area.. some place representative of rural America.. why Georgia, I can't figure. Maybe they like peaches, or pecans.. or maybe they just threw darts at a board at a distance..
  6. hmm.. like before.. I've been asking too much.. You'll have to ask yourself someday..
  7. maybe that's the problem I have with this.. do you (excuse the wayism) mean what you say? It's really asking quite a bit.. are you really that big..
  8. Shouldn't have said anyhthing.. they are "bac,.......k"..

    Song of the moment

ha! it kept going.. and going.. the only thing I can think.. Garcia must have loved Winwood's voice.. a thousand different voices..
  10. The scientologists appear to still be too large.. they have an ad at the bottom of the page.. heh.. maybe not too large. Mention their name, and the ad is gone..
  11. hmm.. seems the "druids" are far more understanding.. different thread, yes. Relevance here? I think so.. very interesting.. they don't seem to care if an individual has figured out that the individual is too small to define an almighty..
  12. and if I might respectfully add.. when one finds one's mind on a new track.. make sure it isn't in the same old rut. i.e.. an offshoot or equally fundamentalist organization.. some of us "dogs" return to our vomit.. others run like hell..
  13. Been thinking.. what was the purpose of Fellowlaborers? I think it was the same purpose of da corps, college division, university of life, wow program.. in contrast to "revelation" I think the victoid tried out a few ideas. The fellowlaborer program seemed to "fit" hippies or barely ex-hippies, living in some kind of communal situation, eating tofu, beans, lentils and the like. Beat them up with work and confrontation.. those who chose to "grow up" in herr verd moved on.. apparently from a marketing sense, it ended up being a failure. Or maybe not quite the success realized from corps and wow program. Same for the college division. I think the vicster just plowed under whatever venture that didn't turn enough bucks.. The purpose? I think it was a deranged experiment..
  14. So.. does anyone know- did jl ever end up with the donation of the motorcoach of his dreams?

oh yeah! It's one party played against another.. one lifetime after another.. it's slightly "intriguing" to watch.. maybe I shouldn't say. I'm one of them as well. socially, intellectually, and politically underdeveloped individuals thinking they've go the answers to life.. christ.. as far as being "played".. you were easy.. as was I..

Perhaps.. that is where we agree. "Strange", "mainstream".. "normal(?)".. beliefs to me are irrelevant.. at least to the point they are willing to sacrifice me on some god's altar because I'm not exactly the same.. and for the *most* of the world, to the contrary, it seems to be asking too much..
  20. that's what I told the guy .. I don't know where he's from. Either Romania, or Bulgaria.. "sheesh.. I don't know how that's fair and all.. I'm only.. 23 .. they are well.." OK then. just.. don't date your students. Date your colleagues students.. as long as they aren't in your class, and you can't give them some kind of perks, or benefits.. god bless you brother..
