98 Yep, it's 98 days until my masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. (and just less than a month until my grandson is born but that's not my countdown to post!!!)

First week was wonderful, exciting, tedious, exhausting.....I LOVED it!!! Mondays and Tuesdays I leave work early to go to the internship until 8:30 at night...then home. I am in intake, which means I get all the info from each potential client, interview them, figure out their mental health needs and put them in the program that meets those needs. Wednesday, Thursdays, and some Fridays I have class at night and get home between 9 and 10 pm. Saturdays is for errands and grocery shopping and on Sundays I cook all day for suppers for the coming week (I'm cooking from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking from the film Julie and Julia) Cooking is my relaxation....I love it and the food is incredibly yummy!!!! I also just started a new job teaching at a therapeutic day school....my students are all male from a residential sex offender program. My first full day of teaching was Tuesday and it is going VERY well!!! Love the people I work with, they all care so much about these kids...it's rewarding to work with them after my last job where petty bickering, cliques, and backstabbing were the standard operating procedure. Life is fun, good, and very busy!!!!

Here is the entire first stanza....(hint, it's a country song, male artist) Here you come knockin’ on my door baby Tell me what you got on your mind I guess those college boys all went home for the summertime And you’re lookin’ right, lookin’ good, lookin’ like a woman should So why is it so hard to find A place to lay your pretty little head down once in a while You run on a little tough luck baby Don’t you sweat it Everything is waiting inside for you You know I got it Come and get it

Ok....here is the first line of the song.... Here you come knockin on my door baby Tell me what you got on your mind I guess those college boys all went home for the summertime the other lines I gave do not directly follow this line....there is a three or four stanze break between them.

It was his bosses' idea to give him the week off and pay was expected. Appreciate all the FMLA info, knew it already, but appreciate it! :) Even with all the labor info/laws, I'm STILL ticked about it!!!!! We are helping out and they will be fine, but I'm still ticked!!!!!! Holding my jbug helps make it doable, she's fantastic!

need a little more? here's the next line... Everything is waiting inside for you You know I got it So come and get it

I am SO ticked off. My grandbaby's father was given the week off in honor of Jaden's birth. And today, his scum of a boss did not pay him for the week. So now they have a newborn, bills out the butt, and no paycheck. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!! What kind of a person does this to a new family?????

Eat it, by Weird Al You might've run on a little tough luck baby Don't you sweat it

I am teaching Drama Tuesdays and Thursdays this summer at the residential substance abuse facilty, where I teach. I am doing the play "Trifles" but I need some activities to loosen the girls up and get them into acting....can you lend a hand???? Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 3:00 any suggestions from you or Gary would be MOST welcome!!!

Thank you for all of the suggestions/ideas, the baby shower was Sunday and it was fantastic!!!! We rented a room in a nearby community center and it is the best room I have EVER rented with the staff giving EXCELLENT service!!!! (and I've rented a few rooms in my twime) We had four games; guess how many m&m's are in a baby bottle, guess how much tp it takes to go around mom-to-be belly, clothespin game (everytime someone said the word baby, they would lose it and the person with the most at the end of the shower wins), and the guests wrote advice on their nametags and put them on a decorated poster board which I will laminate for years of enjoyment!! Steve! and I catered the food ourselves and it was AWESOME!!!! We had a taco/burrito bar complete with all the fixings. If I were not in the education and counseling field, I would TOTALLY consider starting a catering business. It was wayyyy fun!!! We got an undecorated cake from Costco and Jessica and I decorated it with a Winnie the Pooh, butterflies, and a welcome for the baby. It turned out very nicely!!! Jessica got LOTS of great gifts and had a wonderful time!!!!! It was a blast and a major success all around!!!
