We had a parent-teacher conference with Zachary's teacher last night. Thought ya'll would like to know that they have all the postcards sent from all the Flat Stanlies in the class on a wall near the classroom door. Steve and I noticed that MOST of them were from Zach's Flat Stanley(s). They had gotten three more postcards THAT DAY...two of em from GS'rs. It was soooo fun to see!!! (we shoulda taken pixs with our cell phones, but didn't think of it at the time)

so just what are you trying to tell me, chum??? :D--> thanks strangedude!!!

I can sure relate to the being late thing....it was so much a part of me that it became second nature. At least until the job I have now! We are valued because we are good at what we do, not cause we know how to tell time. I also got over the "just so" thing. However...I still have to end a prayer with "In the name of Jesus Christ" (like he doesn't know who he is) And still question those who have to quote verses for everything they do (like Shaz said). Manners are important to me...but so is teaching our kids to stand up for themselves (the RIGHT way). And I absolutely refuse to believe that the cleanliness of my home reflects ANYTHING important. (especially since we pay someone to clean it once a week :o--> we bad)

Thanks so much for the birthday wishes!!! I got spoiled silly on my birthday AND the day before!!! Happy Birthday backatcha, tcat!!!! and George...no news yet, we're still praying (and taking *believing action* of course!!!)

Plus...Steve! and I buy our meat wholesale from a butcher. Even got a bit more savings because I called the owner and asked for his best price. We also use Ebay a lot...got most of the kids school clothes that way. If you are careful about quality and pay attention to the feedback rating of sellers, you can buy almost ANYTHING on Ebay. I saved THOUSANDS on our wedding!!! Also...I ask for discounts all the time...all they can say is "No" !

um...he did answer, song...check a few posts up! If the answer was not what you wanted...perhaps a restatement of the question is in order. Just an idea
-
damn...what a show!!!!! ps...check my response on your private topics!!!
-
hehehe....sure I do!!! and if he can find the energy, I tell him "go for it!" but I keep him pretty....um....busy And I totally agree, WN! Keep your radar up and if you have kids, get their opinion of the person. I learned this after ignoring their opinions once, after that I introduced anyone I was thinking of dating to them....needless to say Steve! got their overwhelming thumbs-up!

Count us in, paw! If it's anywhere around this part of the woods (Indiana, Illinois area) we !'s can help with details and planning.

I think homeschooling is excellent and fully support anyone who is able to do so. Just think it through, Chas...if you don't mind the hard work and discipline day in and day out, can afford to stay home and do it, and have homeschool resources around you...it might be a perfect fit for you! I think, as with most things in life, throwing labels on things like homeschooling and public schooling is short-sighted and serves noone. I have been on both sides of the public schools, both as a parent fighting against an inept and uncaring system and as a teacher fighting FOR my students against inept and uncaring parents/guardians. I have also gone around "the system" in order to get my children what they need in school regardless of "attitudes" of those I dealt with. I heartily applaud those who homeschool when they see a need for their children, just as I applaud those whose children are in public schools. I, for one, would homeschool in a ny minute.

There is a Martina McBride song that has a really good set of lyrics. And even though I am still a newlywed, Steve and I have lived together for two years (come November 17th)...this song made me think of mysteve, my wonderful children, and how happy and blessed (no, not blessed with the twi connotation, blessed for REAL) we are now. Check out the video...it's well worth it. Here are the lyrics....and click on the link at the end for Martina McBride songs...click on Blessed, and watch a VERY good video. (or go www.launch.com and do a search for Martina McBride videos, and click on Blessed) I get kissed by the sun each morning Put my feet on a hardwood floor I get to hear my children laughing Down the hall through the bedroom door Sometimes I sit on my front porch swing Just soaking up the day I think to myself, I think to myself This world is a beautiful place I have been blessed And I feel like I've found my way I thank God for all I've been given At the end of every day I have been blessed With so much more than I deserve To be here with the ones that love me To love them so much it hurts I have been blessed Across a crowded room I know you know what I'm thinking By the way I look at you And when we're lying in the quiet And no words have to be said I think to myself, I think to myself This love is a beautiful gift Repeat Chorus When I'm singing my kids to sleep When I feel you holding me I know Repeat Chorus http://search.launch.yahoo.com/search/lsea...Martina+McBride
