Thanks for the sweet words!!! It's been a WONDERFUL first year of marriage and we are looking forward to many, many, many more!!!!! We are going to the same place we had our wedding. We are staying the night tonight and they are serving us the same wedding feast we had at the reception (at no charge!!). The kids will be swimming in the infamous indoor pool, and Steve and I will be celebrating our first wedding anniversay in *style*!!!

My opinion of the Prince is very low (i.e. I think he is a pr*ck). I am usually able to tell from the picture of a couple whether or not they are happy together and will stay together...and as I say, I do not like Charles at all... but when you look at them together (camilla and charles), you can see that they are very happy together and really fit together. I despise what royalty represents and the lives they have and continue to ruin. But they seem made for each other. Is that a good thing??? Who knows?

That is precisely why I made the suggestions to you that I did (on the phone), Zix. I've found in relationships (prior to Steve!) that people do not stick to what they say they will. (especially with the dishonesty you've lived recently) If they say that the divorce will be amicable, they will turn it into a major battle. If they agree that they will say, "It just didn't work out" in exchange for money they think is due them, they will turn around and do everything but...and rather immaturely at that. And then blame you. Rare is the individual who actually does what they say they will. More certain is childishness, that lasts for years. Pettyness, spitefulness, and immaturity. You need to realize that...rise above it....and take care of yourself legally. Realizing all the while that those people I just spoke of are NOT normal...let alone decent. Their behavior in no way reflects on YOU and your real friends will know that.

A couple of my kids wanted to join a church, so I took them to a few different churches over the period of a few weeks. We met some very nice people, sat through some services that were only mildly annoying, and had an all around ok time. Thank the dieties that they now have made some more good friends and told me this past week that they no longer wish to find a church to join. Whewwwww!!!!! Not that I'm against church-going...but I gotta admit...I was so very BORED and while I would have gone to church every Sunday if my kids felt they needed that....I'm so very GLAD not to have to be BORED every week!!!!

One of the important things to remember during a divorce is that the divorce does NOT define WHO you are. The statistics, the judgements, any attitudes, norms, satires, etc... they do NOT make up who you are. You are still YOU...and there is no need to prove to anyone that you have worth, a good reason, or godliness.

I just saw this movie yesterday on ppv...thought it was a nice movie with a good message. Would've liked to have seen Patrick Swayze play Gere's role, though (but mostly because of his dancing). He may be too young to pull off the age of that character.

Me neither, Xena... In fact, one of the things that occurred to me when I was filing for divorce was how much God had given for me. How was I using those gifts by staying with someone so intent on crushing them? Was this what Jesus died for? That I might live less and less "abundantly" every day???
