I'm too underwhelmed to comment. However, if I did choose to comment, I would say shame on Mattel. I'm 50, and I still want to believe in the fairytale. Why can't the little ones believe in it too, instead of being manipulated by marketing exec's into accepting a current sad reality of life. Besides, Barbie would go for some young stud anyway, not some manufactured version of one. But I really don't care to comment.

"A time in nine, saves a stitch". "A moss rolling gathers no stones". "Frankly, my damn, I don't give a dear". "There are no opportunities, just problems".

Gee, Ex-sorry about the scare! And I'm glad you brought it to us...you're enough of a vet around here to separate advice given into acceptable or not.... For what it's worth, I stick with the oatmeal, and it has helped. I cut my smoking to less than a pack (not just for that but other things). I drink a lot of OJ now. And I surf for info but take it with a grain of salt. I hate doctors but they at least know (or should know) the basics. Saying a little prayer.......

Thank you, Pirate1974. It's like filling in a part of my heart.

Speaking of Clydesdales: Superbowl 2002: I was at a company meeting which started on that Sunday with a Super bowl party which continued through the game. With all the meeting and greeting going on, I missed not only the game but the commercials as well. A co-worker told me that the Clydesdale commercial that year showed the horses quietly traveling east through country, until they "reached" the WTC site, at which point they bowed on one knee. Is that correct? She said she just lost it. I'm kind of glad I didn't see it, 'cause I'd of been a wreck. If her version is true, that spot should have won a Cleo-and maybe it did? Anybody have a link?

I know it's bogus, Out... My point (tongue in cheek) was to offer an "explanation" for why Jesus is not glorified, taught, explained, expounded upon by TWI. Why? What possible explanation is there other than the TWI concentration on the Grace Administration? According to things I've seen on these threads, it has become as if He doesn't exist. So my "attempt" was a humorous explanation. (in TWI think) Okay? :) Love ya.

I think at $5 million per 30 second spot, they should be mini-motion pictures. Very few could live up to that. I didn't see a whole of originality. I remember when $250,000 was considered a lot. The more they cost, the higher the goods go.

Happy Birthday!

Remember how VPW would teach in graphic detail about what happened to Jesus prior to his death-the beatings, tortures, etc-taking all our sins and disease upon Him? You don't suppose-could it possible be-is it remotely concievable that........ He caused His own death because of negative believing?!?!?!......... ....and that's why we don't hear much about Him from TWI..... Just thinking out loud.

"I'm having an opportunity" Oh, my God! I'd almost forgotten that one. Now I have to get it out of my head! -
"Loy is greek for "Too Tight in the Crotch". That explains a lot!

Belle, are you still on the mailing list? I was sent stuff for six months after I left, and only because I order stuff from the bookstore to replace some of what I lost. and then not a word for twenty plus. Of course, after six months I wouldn't even consider giving them a change of address.

Like, are you kidding?!?!?! Totally gross! Geez-am I old!

I'm sure it goes farther back, although there was no particular public ranting and raving. Several individuals from the 10th and 12th Corp were dismissed, and we all "knew" why. So this was not a new thing, just not as well known.

The more shocking, the more points. It's got to be hard enough to instill some values when Britney and Madonna go at it on national television on an awards show that the young ones watch to see their heroes. And the media seems to like to replay that little incident at any opportunity. We have some young women showing up for work with naval's and buttcracks not only showing, but tattoed with the sole purpose of drawing attention to themselves. They don't seem to get it when encouraged to dress more appropriately. Is this a sign of age? I'm sure we weren't viewed upon very kindly in our day, either, but I can only take so much buttcrack. Nightmare on buttcrack street!

I join Ex10 with the warning that I am not a VPW apologist, either. However, in looking at the history we must remember that VP was in his 20's and 30's when he started this quest. As most of us were at his age, we thought we knew a better way to slice bread. The tragedy came in the later years with the perversion of thoughts and actions taken at our expense. Many corporations are started by people taking what they have learned from other sources and building something with their own twist, and believe me, very few credit where they got their knowledge from. If VP was trying to hid the sources of the information used in his classes, then how is it that I came away knowing about Bullinger, BG Leonard, Stiles, etc. These were not names that were hidden from view. However, I was not made aware of the amount of material that was incorporated, word for word, in the classes. Skyrider, thank you for taking the time to post the sections of this book. I had never seen or heard about. No matter what conclusions one comes to about the content, I always thought warmly about Mrs. Weirwille.

Another generational issue. Any suggestions on how a parent would counsel their child in this situation? Or would they just let it go and hope they grow out of it?

If they are convicted, the sentence will probably include fines ( these kinds of cases occasionally include that). I think they should be forced to pay their former employees out of whatever monies are left, or are found. Maybe the attorneys can turn over some of the 38M they earned. Wouldn't that be novel?
