Beauty and the Beast. Raf, since you knew what it was, you should go. I just took your push and named it.

Well, the topic could be "How to come up with a topic".

"It may look ever so slightly hazy" The down side? Application of makeup may result in your face looking slightly hazy.

The Cluck Sisters. They look great, Cowgirl!

I'd love to take him on, Not, but I fear I am too far away........

Yes, Roy, the Way's "open mindness" continues. Ha! Hope CK takes a lesson from your experience.

How many GSers does it take to screw in a light bulb?
topoftheworld replied to sprawled out's topic in Open
Sprawled, You haven't established yet that there is a need for a light bulb. Are we to assume that there is a dark place in need of some light? Are you sure that only one bulb will serve your needs? Or-perhaps there is enough light in the general vicinity that would be adequete enough for your needs. IMHO, we need more information before a true answer can be reached (in the context of circumstances, so to speak). -
"Who would be sharp enough to stop him?" How about Cloe?

I'm glad you appreciated the movie, Raf. It's actually from a play that was then broadcast on TV in 1954. Now, on to more trivia. "They drank their lover's wine in glasses I stood in line to buy!"

"What if we had been misled into some other cult? Just different wrong doctrine, right? But what really matters is God is with us and will never leave us nor forsake us!" Hope you don't mind my butting in with my two cents. I would like to believe the "God is with us and will never forsakes us". However, in my own life, I have struggled daily to keep that thought in the front of my brain. I was "raised" in a church before joining TWI. I even flirted with Jehovah's Witness before TWI as well. I always felt I had a bedrock foundational belief (pardon the phrase) that I knew there was a loving God and He was protecting me. Well, the only thing I can truly say is-I'm not dead. But the things I endured both before, during, and after TWI have caused me to question the concept of God. And I can guarantee that it was my TWI experience that truly put me on shaky ground. Seeing what happened to my friends, my family, and others in the world-how do you explain it? Having faith that God knows what he's doing? Hmmm......so a child is kidnapped, shot and burned alive (which happened to friend's daughter recently)...where was God in that? So all I have left is faith-faith that is evidence not seen. That keeps me praying, keeps me moving forward, keeps me sane. I guess I've gotten to the "just in case" mode of survival. That's not the best way to live, I know, but it seems to be all I have left-and it's not always enough.

I love Phantom-I got to see it when it was on tour in Ft Worth. Still have the programs and brochures. It was amazing. Thanks for posting the song. My favorite is still "Music of the Night" with Michael Crawford: I like the movie version but I think Michael's was even better.

Good luck on your endevour, CK. However, I thought you wanted to discuss "The Word" (as you mentioned in one of your earlier threads). I guess what you really want is to discuss "the word" according to VPW. Posting this on a TWI website won't allow you much discussion on other viewpoints-unless current TWI'ers have completely thrown out the old "research". If you are just there to debate old TWI against new TWI it will be interesting-for you and you alone. Have fun playing.

One of the greatest movies of all time-and I got it after the first two sentences. Twelve Angry Men-1957--Lee J. Cobb was the ranter (I believe) and Henry Fonda at his best.

Too easy, huh? Guess I'll have to dig deeper. All yours, Rhino.

But Mark-you're missing out on the suspense! Was not really impressed with Kat last night-I swear she looked like she was holding back on those last two songs. Taylor brought it. I think Simon is right-and I love the dig he got for not wanting to bring Taylor into the competion in the first place. Still wish Chris was in it, though. Carrie Underwood won an AMA last night-anybody notice? Won for "Jesus at the Wheel". Good girl.
