  1. Ha! I'll take all you can send-considered yourself egged!!! Only wish I could post stuff-I may have a few up my sleeve!
  2. Here ya go, Waters! Sudo-where do you find those songs??? :D
  3. Or maybe because I provided Oldies with the thread in which this had already been discussed. Hopefully he has caught up on his reading.
  4. Q (I didn't "say" it!) Truthfully-I was giggling all morning. Not really appropriate when you're in the grocery line-and the lady in front of you is wearing a bad wig. I could hardly drive home.
  5. I think people who object to the types of things discussed here would prefer to silently withdraw rather than make others uncomfortable by voicing their objections. That's part of friendship, IMO. You treasure the times together, but if things get a little risque, and it's not your cup of tea, then you graciously excuse yourself and leave everyone else to the fun. After leaving TWI, I was initally uncomfortable around those situations. But working with the kinds of people I did, I had to learn to get along and not be preachy. I know when to stay and I know when to leave, and I hope along the way that some have learned from my example. I don't want anyone to be fake around me. I care most about people being real, and people who expect that out of me as well. BTW, I got pretty good at cussing like a sailor: I just have learned when it's appropriate and when it's not.

    Noah's Ark

Aren't you making a broad assumption there, Allan? Just because the thread doesn't overflow with glory halleluah's doesn't mean participants aren't interested. It may be simply that, one, we've seen the assertions of great finds before and they have proven wrong, and two, some of us are already working within our own spiritual proof system daily. I (for one) don't need a bunch of gopher wood to prove any points. That's what faith is about.
  7. Nice to see you guys "in the flesh"! Looks like you had a great time.
  8. I have to admit-I liked the group back in the day. I missed the appearance on GMA, but he's popped up now and again, and yes, he's filled out a bit. He'll need a few extra spools of yellow ribbons (hehe). But then-who doesn't?
  9. Good old Tony-don't know about the band-are you talking about Dawn?
  10. Gee-and I worried that my response was too cold.
  11. Or-did he? (A nod to conspiracy theorists) I'm not being unsympathic to the man's family, but honestly, that was my first thought. Don't imagine his former employees will shed many tears.
  12. Irrational Radical A@@hole's.
  13. Anybody remember, sometime around 81-82, when VP announced that the price of the class was being dropped to $45? At the time I was pleased, believing that is was an indicator that money was not the ultimate prize. Anybody know how long that lasted?
  14. Welcome, Watersedge! The water in here is just fine, too. Feel free to wade around until you're ready to dive in. Happy Fourth to ya!
  15. Sudo, you can be patriotic every day as far as I am concerned! Thanks to you and Kathy for making this a special 4th in Cyber world. And May God continue to bless America! (Not shy about loving this holiday!) Top
  16. Hi, Wayfer! Another burner of day today, huh? There's a link on Cowgirl's first post labeled "Music".
  17. Another reminder of why I live alone. For fear of being dragged down to his level, you might resist the urge to place a sign on his door labeled "King of the A.H.'s". That might force a meeting, and a discussion about tolerance. Any counselor's available to discuss PC behaviour? Or threaten to call his mama (if applicable).
  18. Slightly I left in 82. I don't seem to have any memory of Takit (then again, I have a hard time finding my car keys ). Did Takit come along after 82-or if not, can someone give an example of some of their music? I'm feeling silly.
  19. Love the pictures! With the music you provided, we have a perfect slide show. The orange sky reminds me of some Texas sunsets, and the sand dollars of walking on Padre Island with old friends. Thanks for the memories. :)
  20. I beg to differ, George. That was the voice of Kate Smith-Judy's would tremble too much . Back when things were simpler (or seems that way). Sigh
  21. Amen, Sudo-and it lasted-7 years? We owe a huge debt to anyone who puts it on the line for us-past and present.
