Well, you know how to make friends!!!!

Why is an excellant question-his first album in '68 had terrible reviews, but the Priceline commercials must have set things in motion again. Our own Capt Kirk, admitting he's a Has Been, in 2004. (he has another somewhere in between, I think, but I don't know the name of it.) Saw a documentary on his concerts on TVLand. Takes guts, but it's working. Guess the morale is-Never say Never!

Now who would really want to volunteer for honey wagon duty?

You guys are so special! Wish I'd made it into the 9th-I was slated to go, but put it off for a year. My loss. :(

Geez-three pages in four hours! Whew! We got in for whatever-search for truth, need for affirmation, want of love. We stayed because we were told (in any form or fashion your experience was) that there was NOTHING ELSE OUT "THERE". We were told we were dissatified with our lives before, (fill in your own blanks) and that we would be dissatified if we left. "The Word, the Word, nothing but the Word"!!! We all heard it. How can it be interpreted any other way? It was bred into us. And it did leave that nagging thought in the back of our heads that life as we now know it may be exactly what they said it would be-unfulfilled. Yeah, pretty sly. TWI's not the only one that does it-hell, watch any commercial and you see the same implication. But I don't remember commercial jingles from twenty-five years ago-how come I remember VP's and Craig's voices?

Pretty sure that's Bev Strick on the right.

Computer Prayer "Every night I lie in bed this little prayer inside my head, God bless my mom and dad and bless my children... And God, there's just one more thing I wish you would do if you don't mind me asking... just bless my computer too? Now I know, that it's not normal to bless a small machine but listen just a second and I'll try to explain... You see, this little metal box holds more than odds and ends. Inside those small components rest a hundred loving friends. Some, its true, I've never seen and most I've never met we've never shaken hands or ever truly hugged, and yet... I know for sure they love me by the kindness they give and this little scrap of metal is how I get to where they live. By faith is how I know them much the same as I know you... by sharing my life it brings them close, so if its ok with you... Just take an extra minute from your duties up above... to bless this little hunk of steel that is filled with so much LOVE." God bless you all. Coulda been written by one of us......

You know, there's scum-your good old generic scuzzy stuff-and then there's Pond Scum-those who were baptized in the swan **** in Emporia. Or is that swan scum? You know them-they're still spitting up swan feathers and have a suspicious green tint to their skin.

I am having to resist the temptation to quote a couple of pages from Shatners "Star Trek" Movie Memories book. He recalls an attempt to film a scene from "Star Trek-The Motion Picture" which had me rolling on the floor in tears. Too bad I can't do that......

Thank you, Medic-to you and all your band of brothers.

Scum-and proud of it-right up to the moment I left. Sure went in with the best of intentions.

"They belonged to people who declared during their lifetime that their bodies should be made available after their deaths for the qualification of physicians and the instruction of laypersons. Many donors underscore that by donating their body, they want to be useful to others even after their death." I wonder if they knew just HOW their bodies would be used....... Not sure if I'm crazy about the idea.

Prayer works, but you took the believing action.. Oh, geez-what am I saying? (slap)

Sorry I missed you, Watersedge-I take a couple of days off a week to let the keyboard cool down. Catch up with you later. Cool-great description of chat time. You are a true poet. Oil Field-if you can pop in between 5-8 A.M., you might find some folks. If my math is right, people tend to congregate between 8-10 P.M. EST. People pop in and out, but I know they would all be glad to see you.

The Dead Zone starring Christopher Walken. Charlie don't surf!

"__. _____________ had shown the naked backside of a doctor (Ed Flanders) who'd dropped his trousers in front of his supervisor (Ronny Cox) before leaving the ________ and the show." (From IMBD) It was a priceless moment. Did you know that in the final show, they killed the MTM cat? Very sad. The Oscar winner I'm thinking of played a character named Phillip Chandler. And, yes, Howie was very young-as were we all.

Unseen but always appreciated. :) :)

Kathy, you're making my day. Loved all these shows-even though TWI regiment prevented me from seeing as many as I would have wanted. Wonder if Showtime ever released "Paper Chase" on DVD? I should check. On your as yet unnamed clue-seems to me it ended with a then infamous butt shot. And also starred a future Oscar winning, sexy mega star.

The plot thickens.......

What is my motive to me here and what is your motive to be here?

I came out of curosity about what was going on with TWI. I stayed because I had old wounds that got opened, but were slowly healed. Now I stay for the fun and relationships I am building. Luv this place.
