Why are Wierwille's Sins Excuseable and Martindale's Not?
act2 replied to Oakspear's topic in About The Way
Well, GS patrons, I believe Dot and Excath and the others. It was very hard at first reading these posts, and it IS very hard NOW reading these posts. I am so sorry that these loving women went thru the nightmares that they have shared with us. I think to myself sometimes: IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!!! I wasnt appealing enough to the MOG's!!! So glad that I wasnt !!!!! So glad that I never went into the WC even though I was told by many to go!!!! Dot, check your private topics, please!!!! My heart aches for you ladies. No matter how long it has been, it is like yesterday. And to re-live it so others will know the TRUTH has to take much courage and determination. I applaud you for telling it like it was. You are in my prayers. The decisions we make today form our future. -
Linda, my thoughts are as yours regarding the leadership that we all had. Some had loving, down to earth leaders, and some had leaders from hell!!! I got out in 1994, but prior to that, I had one man who TOLD me to do something. His name is Harve Platig, and he was right on in what he told me. I obeyed and everything has turned out great in my life. But I dated 'unbelievers' and went anywhere I wanted to go and with whom, moved to different states for MY JOB, and only once did a tc wife advise me not to move due to how that company that screwed over me before. But I moved anyway. I stayed with the company for 18 years. But I do regret spending so much time on my 'spiritual' life and not on my career moves. But God has still blessed me above measure. (Thanks again for the hat!!!) The decisions we make today form our future.

Roy, your thoughtfulness and kindheartedness are certainly appreciated by most of us here. I have read most of your posts and want to say a belated welcome from a former KY girl. Left KY in 1989 but all my family still live in Western KY. Thanks again for sharing your life with us. The decisions we make today form our future.

Michael B. WELCOME...and thanx for posting this. We have a common thread that is for sure. I wish you the best in all your endeavors. We had a couple at our car wash a few days ago that flew from Washington to Minnesota to buy a Volvo convertible. Then they came thru here on their way to LA, AZ, and then back to WA. Dovey, do you know the song by George Jones called "Choices"? That is a wonderful song and a wonderful message. Wow76-78, it has been 25 years since MD. Can you believe it? I love Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith, Vince Gill--"When I call your name" is one of my favorites. So many songs, not enough time. Chwester, did you ever fellowship in Henderson, KY? I was involved there 1974, went wow, came back for one year, wow again, then came back, stayed 1978-1989. Transferred to SC with my job. Do you know Gloria, Randy, Rich, Brennan, Doc Green? The decisions we make today form our future.

I have read all John Grisham's books except the last one. Have seen all the movies from his books also. Recently I read "Dereliction of Duty" by Buzz Patterson. I have been reading some war biographies lately about Sgt Major of the Army Wm. Bainbridge. Also Ernest J. King. Both very interesting. The decisions we make today form our future.

Hope, congratulations on both counts!!! I sponsored a wonderful lady from Louisville, KY, in the sicksth corp all 3 years, Evon Priddy. Do you remember her? She had a great sense of humor and a true love of God. def, I was a wow in Cumberland MD 1977-1978. Where were you a wow that year? Hard to believe it has been 25 years. Dovey and Hope, you are right... the best year is the year I left twi....1994. The decisions we make today form our future.

Wayfer not, the book is called "Eat Right 4 your Type" by Dr. Peter J. D'Adamo. I have been following his plan for almost a year now. I do not need to lose weight. I just wanted to feel better. My sister is an "A" and she has followed the plan faithfully for over a year. She is in better health than she has been in for a long time. My sister has a degree in medical technology and she understood all the medical jargon regarding blood, antigens, etc. I recommend this book to anyone that I hear talking about health issues or who want to lose weight. "The life of the flesh is in the blood" Remember that? It is true. Let me know how you do. I got the book at the library. Then I bought the book called "Cook Right 4 your Type" because it had more recipes, but still had the same basic info regarding why you should eat certain foods and avoid certain foods.. Thanks, Excath, I now know about Harve....just wish I could find out about Evon Priddy. She had a heart of gold. She was in 6th corpse. Married a guy in Atlanta GA area around late 80's. A friend and I went to the wedding. Had a reception in a big fine house...probably rented ...haha... By the way, you & I grad. from HS same year...1974. The decisions we make today form our future.

I havent seen Tori in years, but I am sure we are talking about the same person. She had dark hair a few years ago. Her sister married a fellow Kentuckian and as far as I know Tori and Ann both live in my hometown. Tori has 3 children that I know of, a boy and then a set of twins. I will try to contact her sister this weekend as I am going to KY. I will let you know. The decisions we make today form our future.

I think I know your Tori. Was she from the east coast somewhere? Had a sister named Ann? Is she between 40 -45 years old? What year was she WOW with you? The decisions we make today form our future.

John, yes I know Jeff Richards, I am pretty sure he will know the guys that I asked you about. Didnt Jeff go to Mayfield or Paducah with the minutemen? I am trying to remember Claudia. I cant place her face but do remember her name. Also, trying to remember your brother. I went WOW 75-76, 77-78, but then lived in KY till 89. My sister worked at the Big E for a long time. We saw several entertainers there...Randy Travis, The Judds, John Anderson, Ricky Van Shelton, Kathy Mattea, etc....If you arent into country music you probably wont know who these folks are... Tell Steve and Peggy HI for me. Kathy was supposed to give you my maiden name when you all talked again. Will you ask Hope if she knows or you may know Evon Priddy? She was from Louisville but was in Henderson the summer b4 she went into sicksth corp. I sponsored her all 3 years. Went to her wedding in Atlanta (Lawrenceburg) Ga several years ago.
