Happy Belated Birthday, Rascal. Hope it was great, wonderful, fabulous, and everything else you wanted it to be. :)

I am so happy for you. It is great owning a home. And one that is big enough for all of you, just too cool. Welcome back, BTW. You will have to assign chores to EVERYONE to keep that big house clean!!!!!

Thank you, SafariVista and Bliss, for the information. I will pass it on to Lynn. Any other info would be nice. I was gone from Henderson during the time that Gelina was here so I never met her as far as I know, even though I would visit twigs sometimes when I came home on vacation.

I was at the library today and ran into an old friend. She & I hung out as teenagers, and we have mutual friends. Anyway, Lynn asked me if I was still with the Way, and if I knew Gelina Mock. I told her that I was not and had not been for over 10 years and I did not know Gelina. Gelina lived in Henderson KY years ago and worked at a local bank where Lynn worked. Lynn said the last time she heard from Gelina was about 10 years ago and she thinks that she was in Colorado at the time. I told Lynn that I would post this request for her. Can anyone help???

Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers. And yes, Chef, tomorrow will be hard for you. I am so sorry about your mom. I am having about 30 of my family tomorrow. My mom is 79 and I love her very much. She bore 8 children, and has been a superb example. Cherish your family.

Hey, I tried to listen to the song and it sounded muffled or something. Anyway, I have heard Kathy sing that song on a CD and I love it. She does have a beautiful voice.

Dot, the hospital where I go to has state-of-the-art equipment. It is very uncomfortable for the few seconds that I am 'pancaked' in, but then as soon as they release the 'vise', the pressure goes away almost immediately. As I said in my previous post, I had fluid buildup the first time, and it was painful. That was in 1991. Back then, they tightened the grip and had to go stand behind a wall, shoot the xray, and then come over and release the grip. Now, as soon as they take the xray, they have a remote control thingie that releases it immediately. Check into another clinic. Somewhere in your city, they have to have the newest equipment available. Good to see you posting again.

djs, the good fellowship that I was involved in is the main reason I stayed. I overlooked the ranting and raving and cussing, etc. because of my sweet 'family'. But then I had to leave before I was kicked out due to my fiance' living with me. I had never been kicked out of anything in my life, and at 38 years old, I wasnt about to now. So I left. free2love, I understand where you are coming from also. When I finally left in 1994, I had become embarrassed to set thru another SNS tape. I never brought a new person to fellowship for many years. I didnt want anyone to know the 'truth' that I knew. hahahah.... yeah right. The one and only true ministry that I fell for. My life has improved so much since then, it is unreal. God is still answering my prayers, and I have learned how to ask HIM for HIS will in my life, instead of TELLING Him what is BEST. Humbleness and meekness are a part of my life now, whereas during my time with The Way International it was haughtiness and self righteousness that we learned FROM THE TOP leadership. Have a wonderful day.

Thanks for telling part of your story, Paw. It is amazing what you put up with and overlooked. As lots of us did, I guess!!!

Hey Abigail. I have been getting them annually since 1991. Had a lump removed in 1995. All is ok. The first one was the worst due to fluid buildup, but they have come a L O N G way since my first one. Just had one in January of this year. Not bad at all. Thanks for reminding our precious womenfolk of this!!!!

Craig does not know me personally, but I listened & watched his ranting and raving & spitting and spewing via ROA's and SNS videos. Tell Craig thanks for me because if it weren't for him, I may have stayed in a while longer and continued giving them my hard-earned money for them to WASTE on frivilous things. My life has improved 100% in the past 10+ years that I have been 'out'. So, thanks again, Craig. I do hope that you make things right with the Maker and his son, Jesus, who IS NOT absent in many of our lives today.

And a special thanks to Paw for this website and forum. It has helped me tremendously and I went thru NOTHING compared to many of the folks here.

['ChattyKathy' said: I like the stuff your hubby does more. :) ] Do you also watch RFD-TV?? Pop Goes the Country (Ralph Emery), Wilburn Brothers, Porter Wagoner-- oh my gosh, my stomach just turns when he has those shows on!!!!

Moony, please tell that 'former Ohio man' that I said "hi" and I wish you two all the happiness that you can have in this lifetime!!!

Cowgirl, this is just too wild!!! '24 hrs @ a time' is the exact song that was on my mind. When I was dating my twi boyfriend (in 1975), he would put that 8-track tape in the tape player in his Camaro and sing that song to me!!! What is even more wild: I had forgotten about that song till one day I remembered it. Hubby & I lived in Memphis, but our business was in Arkansas. The song talks about Arkansas, Houston, etc. Hubby's name is HOUSTON and our business was in ARKANSAS. Anyway, I thought, my, how times change!!!! When I was younger, my brother owned a boat, and we would all go boating. He loved Marshall Tucker also and played their music all the time. I cant think of his favorite right now because I am still listening to '24 hrs @ a time'!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks again. I think we are on the same wavelength.
-
Cowgirl, thanks for the Rod Stewart songs. I love 'Forever Young'. I had never heard him sing 'Your Song', quite different from most of his works. I remember one awards nite, he sang 'Forever Young' and had this cute little boy singing with him. I cant remember if that was his son, but dont think that it was. You all have a wonderful day. The sun is shining here. Chatty, I cant believe you dont like Rod Stewart. Hubby doesnt either!!! :( Ok, how about some Marshall Tucker Band?????????
-
Sushi and Chatty, thanks to both of you. How about some 70's Rod Stewart? As I mentioned in the Wine thread, I have been spring cleaning today, and am worn out. So I am heading to the bed for some needed restful sleep. Goodnite all!!!!!!!!!!!

Moony, The Chardonnay is the only one I noticed since that is the one that oneophile and a couple of others had recommended. I bought two bottles since they were so cheap!!!!!!!! My good friend Debbie is getting married next month and is moving to Dallas where her fiance' lives. So I went over recently to help her pack. She told me that she and Stephen have 'virtual happy hour' when they arent together. They both get a glass of wine and crackers and then one will call the other one, and they will drink wine and eat crackers as they talk. I thought that was too kewl!!!!!!!!!!! She also told me that she has 'happy hour' most every nite. I told her that I had never even thought of doing that by myself, since hubby is gone every other nite. She suggested that I do it. Well, tonite, I have!!!!!!! Then I thought, in twi, I rarely had enough money to spend on wine, only necessities. I have been out almost 12 years and have had the money, but still had the mindset not to do frivilous things, I guess. WELL, I am on my second glass of wine, and I will be in bed shortly. I have done spring cleaning today and I am worn out. I hope I sleep like a good baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <_<
