One of the biggest problems in understanding occurs when we isolate a sentence out of a context of which it was used The following is a transcript of a section of session 33 of VPW Advanced Class. If it was ever God's will not to heal, people He would have to revamp His entire kingdom, and He would have to redesign the whole human body. For class, the basic nature of the human body is always to heal itself, if the cause is removed. And sometimes, people I think even many times, in spite of the cause. You get a little splinter under your finger, The moment that splinter hits, you have an "ouchie" and the ouchie has just informed your mind that there has been an invasion. And immediately, the whole nature of the human body goes into operation. And they have a special dispensation or something, or an emergency or something, that just sends white corpuscles up there. Man, they come in by the millions. They just bombard that little old splinter underneath that finger. They hit like crazy, and every time they hit it they die, and they keep hitting it-keep hitting it-keep hitting it and they keep dying. And before long it looks real white around it. Every one of those white corpuscles has died, so that you may live. Because they've given their life so that you may live, they have isolated the infection of that foreign entrance. And they have died in the process, and you call it puss or matter that’s white corpuscle like stuff that has died, they build up in there. The nature of the human body is to heal itself. Leave it there long enough, it'll finally come out by itself, because they just keep bombarding it until finally they'll drive the enemy out. Cause it's a foreign thing. A person would die, every individual in here tonight would die, if a little splinter went under your fingernail, if the nature of the human body was not to heal itself. We'd get an infection and we'd die And yet God's so wonderfully and beautifully made the human body, that any time something comes in that’s not supposed to be there, everything in that body, with everything God has formed and made, goes to work to isolate it, to stop it from it's activity, and if at all possible, to discard it from that body. That’s why I define sickness as death, in part or in whole. The moment that splinter hits, it's already sickness in death, in part or in what? Whole. Already. On the opposite side, healing is life, deliverance, in part or in whole as the need requires........

I think Jardinero about covered it. He is indeed in Maine. Groucho Just for the record some info that you may have not considered. I believe that he does not travel much because Barbara Geer his wife has (MS) Multiple Sclerosis which has affected her mobility. This requires that he spend time caring for her as he should be. Just thought you might want to know that so you could adjust your thoughts on what he is doing since you seem to be in the know.......

Belle makes a good point here which is why I asked Templelady what year it was and who taught her class. She has not responded yet though. Just in case my memory has lapsed I think I will pull the tape of sesion 12 of VP's class and see if the quote is there. Direct Quote "If you can't speak in tongues you aren't saved" Belle do you have a page reference for that Quote from your syllabus that you could provide for us please?

Recieving the holy spirit today- Some questions answered pg 249 Q: Is the holy spirit available to every believer today? A: Yes, indeed, Is the gift of salvation available today? This is not a foolish question. If the gift from the HolySpirit which is pneuma hagion, holy spirit, power from on high,is not available, then neither is the gift of salvation. when God gives a gift,it is here to stay until the Church Age is finished. Hos gifts are available to and for all believers who desire to receive and know how to receive. Q:Is the holy spirit for particular or special denominations? No. the spirit is never for denominations as such. The holy spirit is for believers. They may come from any denomination People from at least thirty denominations have received the pneuma hagion under my teaching, but not one has received because of their denominational affiliations, They all received because they believed. Clearly from these quotes VPW seperates Salvation and holy spirit and it's manifestation and that one or the other could be received. Nor did he imply that other denominations were not saved or that they could not receive the gift. As is generally true people don't do their homework when writing these articles there are some other errors also in their article.

I'm curious What year and who's class did you take Templelady?

Happy T Day All Ummm what time is dinner served at the cafe?

Eagle you are correct it was printed first in the Future Considerations then later in the book All of the books that Raf listed were collections of things VPW wrote that never made it into print as in books that is. Chris just compiled them into one place. None of the books have any source or date for the articles in them. They could have come from live teachings,Way Magazine's, or tapes. That article did not come from a SNS or Tape of the month I already checked for the title and the scriptures indexed long ago. That leaves a live teaching other than Sunday Services or TOM or a early Way Magazine which would have to be before 73 as I checked all the ones after that and some that I had from 71, 72 but I do not have them all from those years
-
Added info The Our Times book is mostly made up from reprinted Our Times Articles from the Way Magazines useally on the back cover. As Raf said the other books were from tapes and also Way Magazine articles. Now Raf you are aware that it is a violation of the copyrights to reproduce those articles. ;) Either way Eagle sometimes things just show up at your door unannounced.

Eagle they come up on ebay once in a while. We sold all of the ones we had in the bookstore but Nancy Kent in the UK may have some from Gartmore left. I'll find her addresss and send it to you. The book is out of print The publisher Euorpean Christian Press The Way in Great Britain LTD ISBN 1 870676 40 8 Copyright 1993 The Way in Great Britain There is no source for the article....... None on ebay today but the Our Times book is up for Auction I know Nancy has none of these for sure so if you want it thats your chance. It also appeared in the Future Considerations Journal (also out of print) Issue 13 May 1990 With a companion Article No Automatic Amour. I have both the Journal and the book.

OH Piggie over here YA Missed hahahah
-
Eagle I'd guess it was from an early Way Magazine. I have wondered about that same thing. I did run the scriptures through a tape search for all of the SNS and tape of the months that VP taught. None had all the scriptures or even close to all so I would rule out those two options. The first I saw it surface was in the book Take a Stand for God-Chris Geer.

Actually Belle I don't see where Lifted assumed anything if you look at the original post is was - Here are some more quotes followed by the Quotes. I do understand your point about what happens then to a thread direction and I agree. Unfortunately that is the way things go sometimes depending on the day a thread can and will go in different directions. QUOTE WhiteDove} Many were nothing more than cheap shots at Christian beliefs. Because you don't hold to that system of belief they were funny to you but they are insulting to someone who does. I based this comment on your information presented Quote Belle] I guess I've been pondering whether the Bible really is the end all and be all source of all answers. It seems to be fallible and therefore NOT the God breathed word. I also consider that there most likely were political agendas involved with the writing of some of the books as well as the decision on what should be included in the Bible. The fact that you are unsure or pondering tells me in your words that you are not holding to that system of belief if you were you would be convinced in your mind that it was true not pondering. Additionally those who hold to that system, believe it when it says it was God breathed you stated the opposite that it was not. Based on those facts it is logical that you are not holding to that belief system as you are in direct opposition to what it believes. That may change at some point but it is not true at this point it's a fact not an asumption. Further people that truly hold to a Christian system of belief would not find humor or promote these kind of quotes as it is contrary to their beliefs. The Bible looks like it started out as a game of Mad Libs. Bill Maher Born again?! No, I'm not. Excuse me for getting it right the first time. Dennis Miller (Romans says we were dead in sin we could not get anything right the first or the twentyfirst time, thats the point of needing a Savior) The Bible is literature, not dogma. George Santayana You said "I think it's healthy to not take ourselves too seriously". I could not agree more, but I do think it is very healthy to take what God says very seriously..... There is still time for your thread to take a turn in the direction you wished hopefully it will.

Glad you are safely home!!! And now by the power vested in me I hereby award you the dove heart medal for a job well done.

Belle I think you are being a little hard on Lifted. You both posted some quotes to ponder so what is the big deal? Ok your thread it didn't go the way you wanted, geese how many threads do? Someone posted recently a quote something like "Get used to not having things the way you like it around here" I think that’s good advice as you most likely won't. Someone posts they like naturopathic medicine the next person will trash it. Someone posts something positive about their Way experience the next person will have a problem with that and so on..... Honestly you should have expected some response most of the quotes you posted were offensive to someone with a biblical belief system. Many were nothing more than cheap shots at Christian beliefs. Because you don't hold to that system of belief they were funny to you but they are insulting to someone who does. For instance the example you posted : QUOTE If we are going to teach creation science as an alternative to evolution, then we should also teach the stork theory as an alternative to biological reproduction. Judith Hayes Now I don't find that funny in fact it is not even a fair comparison in my opinion. It is I dare say pretty widely accepted that the stork is not an believable reproduction theory. On the other hand Creation science is a belief held by a pretty good percentage of our population to put them in the same catagory is insulting. Honestly I looked at the list of quotes and saw the obvious antibiblical theme and moved along to another thread. No big deal I am used to it from liberal secular left wing people like Bill Maher. and Judith Hayes. Apparently Lifted thought that the thread needed a little balance to the bias. Also no big deal. I noticed predictably some did not like those quotes either. I found the quotes insulting and not worth the time for a response Lifted did, each to their own.

Paw I just got a notice today from Webroot the maker of Spy Sweeper about this also a update online today so I'm guessing they are at work on this also. Sony is loading spyware into users PCs Sony has gone too far in the DRM spyware fracas. By Robert McMillan, IDG News Service Mark Russinovich couldn't understand how the rootkit had sneaked onto his system. An expert on the internals of the Windows operating system, he was careful when it came to computer security and generally had a pretty good idea of what was running on his PC at any given time. And yet the security tool he was using to check his PC was pretty clear: It had found the "rootkit" cloaking software typically used by virus and spyware writers. After a bit of detective work, Russinovich eventually tracked down the source: a Sony BMG Music Entertainment CD entitled "Get Right with the Man," performed by country music duo Donnie and Johnny Van Zant. It turns out that Sony is using techniques normally only seen in spyware and computer viruses in order to restrict the unauthorized copying of some of its music CDs. Sony's software, licensed by Sony from a Banbury, U.K., company called First 4 Internet Ltd., has become the basis of a dispute that once again pits computer advocates against an entertainment company experimenting with new ways to prevent unauthorized copying of its products. Sony has been using First 4's XCP (Extended Copy Protection) software since early 2005 as a copy protection mechanism for some of its music CDs, according to Sony spokesman John McKay. He could not say how many of Sony's CDs currently use the XCP software, but he said it is one of two digital rights management products used by the company. The other is SunnComm Inc.'s MediaMax software, he said. The XCP software prevents users from making more than three backup copies of any CD, and Sony puts an XCP notification on the back of CDs that use the mechanism, according to Mathew Gilliat-Smith, First 4's chief executive officer. Although the Van Zant CD software came with an end user license agreement (EULA) informing him that he would be installing software that would reside on his PC until removed, Russinovich, who works as chief software architect with systems software company Winternals Software LP, said he never expected to be installing a product that would then prove to be virtually undetectable and extremely difficult to remove. Sony's McKay believes that the disclosures in the license agreement are adequate. "I think the EULA's pretty clear about what it is," he said. "The reason why consumers have really high acceptance levels of these content-protected disks is because they have the functionality that people want." The First 4 software does nothing malicious and can be uninstalled, should the user want to remove it, McKay said. That uninstall process is not exactly straightforward, however, and cannot be done through the Windows "Add or Remove Programs" utility in the Windows control panel. When asked for instructions on how to uninstall the software, McKay directed the IDG News Service to a section of the Sonybmg.com Web site where users could ask Sony customer support for uninstall directions. That Web page can be found here. http://cp.sonybmg.com/xcp/english/faq.html#uninstall You can't play the disk after this though. Although many computer users may not care much about the finer points of EULAs, people like Russinovich say Sony's software calls a more important issue into question: Who gets to have control over your computer? "When something like this installs and doesn't advertize itself, you've lost control of your own computer," he said. "And the EULA description that they've presented doesn't let you make an educated decision about whether you'd want this installed or not." Ironically, the invasiveness of the XCP software punishes users who pay for their music, said Fred von Lohmann, staff attorney with the Electronic Frontier Foundation, a digital rights advocacy organization based in San Francisco. "They are installing software in a way that makes it very difficult for you to know what was installed and makes it very difficult to uninstall it. And, worst of all, the software is not very well written," he said. "I think most computer users will find that to be very outrageous." Lawyers might also be interested in the software, von Lohmann said. The EFF attorney said a lawsuit was conceivable. "Sony is using a piece of your computer in a way that you didn't expect or authorize," he said. "Depending on how clearly this was disclosed, some consumers may be able to make an argument that this is actually an unauthorized intrusion," he said. "It's not beyond the realm of possibility that Sony BMG could be liable for this." In 2001 the other provider of Sony copy protection software, SunnComm, was involved in a lawsuit that alleged that the company's software, which was then being used by Music City Records Inc., did not adequately notify consumers of its capabilitiesIn the long term, Sony appears to be moving away from the techniques that have incensed Russinovich. First 4's Mathew Gilliat-Smith said his company has spent the last month developing a new version of the XCP software that does not use the controversial rootkit techniques. "We won't use the same methodology that makes the software hidden in the way that people are concerned about," he said. Neither Gilliat-Smith nor Sony's McKay could say when this new software would being appearing in Sony's products or how many existing titles were shipping with the XCP software. "This is a legitimate technology that we've been charged to produce," Gilliat-Smith said. "People who aren't comfortable with the technology can apply to have the software removed."
