  1. I wonder about that though. I often wonder if the reason VPs brother emtpied his bank account and give it to twi for for reasons other than the love in his heart. He could, afterall, get a tax right-off, and still use the money since he was a member of the bot. It clearly looked like a benefit to both: tax-free money and money to make VP happy. Anyway, it's just a thought. I had a well-informed person complain to me about warning them of the consequences of how they handled monetary things.
  2. Agreed, BUT if the organization (or it's representatives) KNOWINGLY allow an abuser or criminal to exist without turning them over to the authorities, they are condoning it. Religious organizations should NEVER allow themselves to refrain from turning over abusers or criminals of any kind.
  3. LOL! Excie, that's when he goes the farthest. If he nose dives, you won't get past 200 something.
  4. Well, trying to prove I got the big score. So far no good.
  5. Anybody else notice a timing difference in the abominable snowman's swing at times?
  6. 323.5 I don't suck anymore! :P--> Sudo, how did you get the page to post?
  7. 316.2 FINALLY!! After about 15 times of missing...... :P-->
  8. I don't know about conspiracy theories. I think Rozilla has Harve, Jean-Yves, and the rest of the upper echelon (Prez Cab and Reg Coord) fooled as to what her (and Donna's) real motives and intents for twi actually are. Obviously the woman is an ice queen who has no real heart. She tries to keep up with the charade that her heart is to continue VPW's wishes, but it's all a corporation for her. The rest of the pawns just follow along because they don't think there's anywhere else to go. For VPW, it was HIS show. He hoodwinked a lot of people in the hippy days which would serve him in more way than one. Mass people which would bring in money, and mass young girls which would serve his lusts. He got his brother to back him up so that he could get the young chicks too. And he got Howard to back him up. Howard is a pervert with a simple mind. (He once told me that he kept his boots shiny so that he could use them to look up the girls' dresses. -->) He got his share of the girls, so he backed up the MOG because it served his purposed too. He was VPs stooge who did the dirty work.
  9. Last I knew Michael, Pat, an older sister (can't remember her name--she's a nurse), and Tricia were in Portland. The parents were in Astoria Oregon
  10. That ROCKS Oak and Oakmom! :D--> :D--> :D-->
  11. I knew of a man in my old Branch who married a woman (his first marriage; her third). She had 3 kids from 3 different fathers. They ended up having a child together. He would not let her work, and she did daycare in her home. He ended up being a child molestor. They were marked and avoided, and they moved to another state. They ended going back to the state they were marked and avoided in and went back to twit. Supposedly this guy was being watched by twit leadershi*....whatever the H that means. Why the H didn't the BCs or LCs call the cops on that arsehole? I think that kind of decision doesn't show God's mercy, it lets a damn maniac still walk the streets to do harm to children again. Makes me absolutely sick!!! And that dumb-arse wife stayed with him!!! Can you BELIEVE that!!
  12. I think she tells Donna to tell her secretary. When I left staff, RFR had Donna AND a secretary. I still don't know what Donna did.
  13. This is one thing that attracted me to the way also. I had been involved in religion which told me I would go to hell for listening to rock and roll music. The carefree attitude of people in the way attracted me. The speaking in tongues REALLY attracted me because I thought it was THE line to God. I left because of the legalism and control. Kinda ironic how it went from one extreme to the next. That shoulda been ringing loud bells to me.
  14. I totally agree with love being the most important equalizer in our lives. I went round and round in my head about what I believed about homosexuality for quite a bit of time after leaving twi. I decided I would not judge people and would see them for WHO they were, yet I didn't want to deny what I knew from the Bible. It weighs so heavily because of the verse twit threw at us about being as "bad" (whatever THAT means) as homosexuals if we don't disagree with the life-style. As with anything else twitville taught, I threw it to the curb for further assessment in my life. I want to love people. Along the way I met several wonderful gay people (I agree that chat would not be the same without our beloved Daryl!). The thing I saw was that there are several different individuals in the gay community. Just like in any other community, there are those that are honest, trustworthy individuals with which you would love to have a friendship, and there are others who are not so lovable. Some would perceive that gay men who sleep around with hundreds of lovers are the most detestable, but they really aren't any more "slutty" than the hetero men who have a mind-set to go out, get drunk, and get themselves laid. The hetero men are perceived as practicing their "maleness". Sorry, I didn't mean to pick on the male species. I've seen women do this too.
  15. Pat, I went on both websites, but I seemed to collect a lot of popups. One called Seeq.com didn't want to go away.
  16. He's rich and he has no style whatsoever. I saw a story done on him awhile back. There was some footage of him at a country club. He was wearing a white button down shirt, white short and tube socks up to his knees. He looked absolutely ridiculous. The sad thing about his hair is that I think he actually has a pretty good amount of hair. He doesn't have to do a comb-over. That hair of his is even more ridiculous.

Quote by Steve! Uh hum......Steve!......Does Cindy! know about this? You might want to consider telling her. :D-->
  19. It was hard for me. I left alone, and I had an innie boyfriend who was still trying to convince me to stay in. I ended up dumping him because he was so darn brainwashed and mean that I couldnt' stand the sight of him anymore. I went to church and ended up going to a divorce care group. It ended up helping me to deal with my feelings of betrayal from twi. When I had left, I felt that the very thing I believed in had failed me. I had to grasp reality on the fact that I wasn't so right for so many years. I had to deal with forgiveness of twi even though they weren't going to apologize, and then I had to deal with forgiving myself--forgiving my self for kicking family and friends to the curb for twi's sake, and forgiving myself for being so arrogant in my beliefs about God. It was a hard pill to swallow, but I made it through. I cried a lot of tears in front of people who were loving and understanding. And I think I came through it pretty well and at a pretty good pace. It's been 2 years since I left twi. A lot has happened since then, and I see God's grace in my life bigger than I ever have. Don't be afraid to let the new you come out and explore your new life.
  20. I was only quoting what had been pounded in my head so many times while I was in twi. Since it was promoted so heavily during martinpuke's reign, wouldn't you think that some people would wake up and realize that the very principle they were taught negates the teachings they believe? I brought this up because it was an important point in my departure from twi.
  21. People were aware for years that VPW at least had extramarital affairs. It wasn't until the internet that we found out about his manipulative ways with younger women. I had a Trustee Cabinet wife tell me about VPW's sexual trists even before I left twitville. Her excuse was, "What do you do? Leave the Word?" It's sad to think that people can't think beyond the box of twitville even when they know something stinks.
  22. This is something that was pounded in our heads for years in twi. That being said, why would we even trust VPW or Martinpuke with doctrine? I sure don't anymore. They were both manipulators of women sexually while they were married. I saw the doctrinal error creeping in through Martinpuke's teachings when he videotaped the "Believer's Family Class". VPW may not have been so blatant, but he definitely gave his OK on it in personal contact with people. "And if the MOG says it's OK, well then I guess I'll take the ball and run with it" is the attitude I saw. There was a MAJOR problem with sex in twi, and this was the cause of it.
  23. I remember him in the Portland, Oregon, Branch when I was in Oregon. I left Oregon in 1996, but he and his wife, Cindy, were there at that time. I think they actually lived in Vancouver, Washington, which is across the Columbia River from Portland and is considered part of the Portland Metropolitan area.
  24. I left twi for a short time, 1990 to 1991. I was involved in a Geerite fellowship during that time. It was lame. I bought and ate the garbage that VP had the "ONLY" doctrine, so I went back to twi and followed Martinpuke. At that time, they were showing the video of VP annointing and passing the mantle to Martinpuke. I cried the first time I saw that after coming back to twi. I now know that was because of idolatry of men. After Martinpuke starting foaming at the mouth in 1993, I just though he was cleaning the household and making the ministry better. When I got on staff, I saw he was completely insane. It was just hard to leave after that. My feet were in concrete, and it took me a few more years to get the concrete chipped off so I could walk away. If there's anything I learned, that would be that if someone is so hard and critical of people and only want to focus on others' bads, they need to take a hard look at their own life. There will be major ghost and cobwebs in their own closet. The beam in Martinpuke's eye was so damn big that he couldn't see ..... I think the current prez is that way too. She is just sly. They don't call her Fox for nothing.

    Questions

JM, I was in twi for 20 years. I will never be involved in that organization again. They have it all wrong concerning Jesus. They say you don't have a relationship with God. It's a dull, boring way to fellowship. There is no real life in that "church". The people are a bunch of stepford believers, but maybe you need to go and see for yourself. If you really want to see their "true" colors, say no to taking the class. See how they treat you then. You will never be so pressured in your life. After so much pressuring, you wll learn to say yes to everything. They will have you washing their car, cleaning their house, babysitting their kids. They will say you are "blessed" and "special" to do this. They will try to convince you God wants you to take that damn class. That's how they got me. They pressured me in to everything. If you say no, you will be targeted by many phone calls, visits, and "talks". That's the way they do things instead of trusting God to put people in their paths. But, then again, I don't think God ever put people in their paths. It is a horrid existence in twitville. Read the thread about The Political Dance of TWI. You think we are joking? We aren't (except for my comment about needing to consult leadership about when to wipe my arse). But they did try to get involved in people's lives too much. Just ask those who were "counseled" abou their personal sex lives with their spouses, how clean they kept their house, how they kept their budget. There were days that people were required to meet with their fellowship coordinator to go over their budget. If you like control, go ahead and keep going to fellowship. They'll suck you in one way or another. Then 20 years will go by, and you'll be wondering what the H happened. You will spend a few more years getting over it, and then you can start to be normal again. But once you are involved, it never completely goes away. It's like the Hotel California. You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.
