Raven, I'm confused by your statement. I know plenty of lesbians who embrace motherhood and enjoy being a mother.

I have been thinking of him. He last lived in Jefferson City, Missouri. He is originally from Indiana.

I agree with Rascal. The ROA was a time of fun and a time to meet up with almost everyone you ever knew. Those days you had ALL DAY to fellowship and enjoy yourself. Every day was an adventure to see who you would run in to. Tent city sucked though. I, too, only stayed there. I never believed enough (lol!) to pay for an RV. The year I finally set it up to have one, they cancelled it. No skin came off my back because it had become so legalistic at that point, the fun was out of it.

Teachings and Ethics of Victor Paul Wierwille

We don't stand for them either. They don't ask, and it's not disrespectful. That "protocol" in twitville was proof that men are regarded much higher than God. At church, we clap and woo hoo for Him. -
PS: Her name is spelled Murdza.

I was friends with her in Portland, Oregon, until she moved to Birmingham, Alabama. That is where I last knew she was. I know she has family in Florida. She has an adorable daughter, Jill, and and grown up son, Michael Wolf. Anybody know where she is?

I lived with her in San Diego after I left HQ. She still lives there. I emailed her recently and actually got a response. I was surprised because she is still in. Her mom is still in. She has a boyfriend who is also in. If you look her up on yahoo people search, her current phone number and address are in it.

Stennet and Kathy were a couple I lived with in Texas after my WOW year. Sherry and John were Kathy's grown up kids. I haven't talked to any of them since 1988 at least. You wonder what happens to people after years and years go by.

I lived with her and Ron in Texas in the late 80s. I know they are divorced now. I think about her a lot.

Teachings and Ethics of Victor Paul Wierwille

Quote by jkboehm: "On 3 separate occasions......I personally witnessed a deep-seated, venomous anger from Wierwille that was tantamount of soul-stripping every last shred of one's dignity. Each of these three individuals suffered a public, verbal lashing that was completely beyond the scope of "reproof." These incidents incited fear and strict compliance to the mog's agenda and "attitude towards the word." Narcissism would be the most apt description of the behavior of wierwille." Venomous anger which we know has been titled "righteous anger". It's really sad and sick that an organization which calls itself "Christian" did/does this kind of crap. We HAD to be brainwashed to think we could stick around after that kind of stuff. Why would we stick around otherwise? -
Actually R*mona's current name is B*don. I believe her maden name is H-a-nnig as that was her name before she married T*d B*don (they married about 1999 or 2000). Last I saw of her (in 2001 when I left HQ), she and her husband were still on staff. They were still both WC even after the lawsuit was settled.

Quote by Catcup:"There is no baby, toss out that dirty soup, clean the inside of those dirty pots and pans and start from scratch, folks." EXCELLENT thread! EXCELLENT advice! -
Coolwaters, So true! I think about how we were always appeared (in our own minds of course) sinless because we were born again. It is amazing I lived sooooo many years as a "Christian" in twi and never confessed my sin. It is sooo much better to realize that our believing doesn't make us better Christians. The blood of Christ is what saved us and the love that went in to it is far beyond our comprehension. Being vulnerable to God and open about my nature to Him has allowed me to be more REAL with Him, and it has allowed me to have a much better relationship too. It doesn't mean that I am "dirty" to Him, but that I need Him in my life. It's funny to think that we really didn't neeed God in twi. We just needed greater believing. WTF does that mean? In twi, we became our own god.

What in the world does a man do with a naked woman and chicken wings AT THE SAME TIME????? Maybe I don't want to know!!! eeeeeeekkkk!

I love coffee! But I like mine VERY and EXTREMELY strong with a shot of fat free half-and-half and 1/2 tsp of splenda. Just a little light and a little sweet with STRONG coffee flavor!!! Did I say I prefer Peet's Coffee over Starbucks? I'm a changed woman! I never dreamed I would kick Starbuck's to the curb. I'm from the Northwest, so naturally, I LOVED Starbuck's. Now when I taste it, it tastes bitter. But that could be because I make it tooooooo STRONG!!!

I likee!!! Awesome! Sharon you rock! And Biker Babe, I am so happy you got your freedom in time to enjoy the Arizona heat! We up north are still waiting for the heat to start...:)

The Grand And Glorious Eighth And Tenth Corps Mudfight

Paw-Paws???? GAK!!! You guys must have been hella hungry! I did experience Britt's Lynn's behavior when I was a WOW. He came to stay with our family and started a shaving cream fight AFTER midnight! I guess it was OK for us to be up since the Reverend was tormenting us. -
You are right Socks. When my husband does stuff without any instigation (i.e., he will just get up from the table and start doing dishes), it always AMAZES me! I've never had a significant other do that. So I always tell him "You rock! You are the BEST husband in the whole wide world." I'm not throwing him bones when I tell him that either. I REALLY feel that way. Johniam, you are a smart guy to figure out what you did about women wanting someone to be there and listen/agree with us.

She's downright scarey.

I got volunteered in Food Services quite a few times when I was on Staff. It used to nauseate me when they would pick out the BEST for the head tables. Why did it require someone to pick through the food to be sure to get the "most abundant" portions and best looking items for the head table? Wasn't it all supposed to be the BEST? Afterall, twi does everything the BEST, right........ROFLMAO!!! Yes I was at HQ. Yeah, it was called MORE work! That when we worked A LOT of hours.
-
They didn't serve that when I was on Staff. They did serve fresh fruit and yogurt along with a piece of ginger bread cake for SUPPER though. That was really rough for the men who worked hard jobs. That was CRAP as a matter of fact.
-
Speaking of Head Table food, I wondered why they got regular salt and pepper while the rest of us only had sea salt, kelp and cayenne pepper. I was told it was Donna M who instigated those items for the staff. I used to hate using cayenne as regular pepper. There's a difference between. And kelp! GAK! That $h*t was disgusting!!

It is so pathetic that leadership were given the best things, allowed to buy what they did on ABS $$, and it was all justified (i.e., they have a lot of responsibility, they need to look their best....gagggg!!! barfffff!) It really chaps my hide to think that lcm bought such expensive items for himself when the average joe on staff barely had what he needed each month. When I first moved to Ohio, I had terrible problems with my eyes with allergies and dryness. It attributed to the new environment. The opthamologist I saw said that I could try some temporary tear duct plugs to see if "real" ones would work for my problem. My eyes were important to me as I did a lot of proofreading in my job there. The temporary tear duct plugs worked wonders, and I thought it would be a great solution to the problem. But everyone in my department guilted me by saying "How could you spend $250 of the ABS to get tear duct plugs?" I was new on staff, so I went without. I think back and think what a bunch of jar heads they all were. They sure didn't think that when Craig was flashing his expensive taste in clothing or the golf he played regularly during the day. But that was justified because his job as the MOGGIE was a 24/7 position. I had to "believe" for my situation to be better and buy some eye drops..... Go back to a kinder, gentler ministry with the same old crap behind the curtain??? NEVER again......

Rascal, If your love language is quality time, then I would think your husband (who has recommended the book to everyone he knows) would be willing to speak your love language (go riding with you)......Have you both talked about what each other's love language is?
