I think it points to signs that they will sell Gunnison since there can't be enough ABS coming to support it and the staff it takes to run it. They can market it as a mountain resort, and they very well may get big $$$ for it.

The Way GB watch like hawks during this time. The nametags for the Advanced Class on The Way of Abundance and Power are blue. I think the old AC Grad nametags were green. My memory could be failing me on the exact colors since I've slept a few nights since I cared about the color of the darn nametags. I'm sure it was boring as H E L L just like the last ACS I went to in 2002. Anyone need a nap??

I hope they have full happy lives despite the garbage they have had to endure. They deserve it. I hope no stigmas follow them just because of their parents. Glad to see Leah doing what she obviously LOVES to do. That is wonderful!!

Sorry to hear that Rottie. It just seems odd that a large dog (who probably has large bones) breaks a leg from romping around. I realize that she probably doesn't have the same agility as a smaller dog, but two breaks? Makes me go hmmmmm. (((((NICO and ROTTIE)))))

I used to be freaked out about prayer to Jesus. If he is the head of the church and is sitting at the right hand of the Father, why can't we have contact with him? Does it make him God? I just don't think so. It just doesn't make sense to me that the Head of the Church cannot be spoken to until he comes back. It also seems that prayer was equated with worship in TWI. I believe they are two separate things. That's just my 2 cents though.

I re-evaluated almost everything in my life after leaving TWI. I was invoved at the age of 19 and stayed for 20 years. I think the biggest thing for me when I left was that I realized my prayers to God while in TWI were telling Him what to do. It never allowed for inspiration. I decided what I thought should happen, and then I told God what needed to happen. Is that crazy or what? What if what I wanted to do wasn't the answer? That kind of prayer life doesn't allow God to work in your life. I changed that really quick. My thought is that prayer in TWI almost became as rote as any Catholic chant. It definitely lacked heart. I'm not saying all without exception. I'm just saying most of my experiences were that way, especially when I was on Staff. We had fellowship in my Department every day while I was there. Our department coordinator was ordained. He only taught once a month. The rest of us taught and worked a lot of hours. This man went home at 5:00 every night. He lived off grounds. I thought for sure a clergyman would take advantage of teaching at least weekly. I expected more from him. He didn't seem very motivated. The daily morning fellowships seemed another rote and thoughtless experience. Manifestations at fellowship seemed rote as well. I believe in SIT with interpretation and prophesy, but I don't think TWI had the ticket on the teaching. I think there were very few times in my life in TWI that I felt something was inspirational. In talking to several people who have since left, it seems they weren't very convinced on that part of TWI either. There is an old thread somewhere with a discussion about SIT w/Int and prophesy. It is amazing to see how many don't agree with how it was operated in TWI.

Here's a comment I saw in regard to the Spring ACS on another board I frequent: "Everyone whose attendation to the April special is tentative due to finance or finals remember this: Make the decision to go and you can. God wants you to grow spiritually and will make everyway possible inorder for you to do so. All you have to do is get clear and concerned on what you want, take believing action and He will bring it to pass for you. God will do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all you could ask or think. God's timing is perfect. I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. So howz about I see all you folks there! God Bless your magnificent hearts!" Make the decision to go....It doesn't matter if you don't have grocery money for the next month. Just get clear and concerned.....GAK!!!!! They never realize that it is OK to not go. It's not like God can't work in people's lives if they don't go.

I knew a girl from the 17th corps who was upset she didn't get to do LEAD. She said she had a mini lead experience by rapelling off the auditorium at HQ. I bet THAT was an experience. It's kind of stupid that someone might feel their program was inferior because they didn't get to do things that others did.

I agree. Had I been in Kim Basinger's shoes, I would have released it as well. Obviously Alec has anger issues which seem hard for him to control. Maybe this will be his wakeup call to not let his anger take over him. Maybe he will get help. Maybe he won't, and maybe another tape can be released to show the public that he truly is a BIG ARSE!!!

Were You Afraid You Might Be A Grease Spot?...
Nottawayfer replied to Lone Wolf McQuade's topic in About The Way
Don't feel alone Lone McQuade; I experienced that stuff too. I remember going out to my car one day to find a boot on my wheel. I had just left twi the month before and had thoughts of punishment for leaving God's household filling my mind, and it was DRIVING ME CRAZY! It didn't take long to get over it because I knew I rationalized in my mind that it was BS. My mind does occasionally go there when I am being judgmental of others. I'm still working on that one. It seems to be a hard one to shake. But I am much more liberal in my thoughts than I was before. I really try not to be so black and white. -
When I went on Staff, they had a night for everyone to walk through the rooms in Founders Hall. It wasn't by permission. We were told what was going to happen. I guess everyone swallowed that koolaid. It was interesting to see what people were doing with their stale rooms.

They were in 2002 when I left. What about you, Bolshevik? You left recently did you not? Why did you leave?

I agree that is ridiculous. If you know and trust someone in another state or one close to you, see if you can have it shipped there. Then make arrangements to pick it up or have it mailed to you from their state.

I'd get pink because it might be well disguised. Then the victim wouldn't know what hit him (or her).

The reporters were not forthright with Doug or Rico? I'm confused. I'm sure Mr. Magnelli has withheld important details to make twi look innocent.

A baby???? Ohmygosh! I am so happy for her!!! I used to call her husband Wilbur because it was like combining will and brooks together. I think it stuck because people at Gunnison started calling him that.

Yes, John can design well. I worked with him in printing services. Those room in Founders Hall had painted block wall. Some rooms were powder blue (puke!), light green (bigger puke), or yellow. They all had indoor/outdoor style carpeting. John made his room in to a beautiful place to come home to. He maneuvered a way to put up sheet rock to have "real" looking walls. He even put some beautiful sconces on the wall. And it was better than any girl's room looked.

Mr. "I never mix my bread and vegetables".....ROFLMAO!!! That is PERFECT example of anal-retentiveness we experienced in Craig lunatic reign.

I had a 1990 Ford Taurus quite a few years ago. I owned it for the 5 years I was on Staff. I didn't drive that much back then, but it was a decent car. It was roomy without being a tuna boat, and it was fairly decent with gas mileage. My parents have owned 3 different Ford Tauruses. They didn't have any problems, but then they buy brand new cars every 3 years anyway. I've known several people who have owned Ford Tauruses. When I was on Staff, that seemed to be the car which was purchased the most because you could get a decent used one without having to fork out a ton of money. I never talked to anyone who had complaints about a Taurus. The Taurus you are considering does seem to have quite a bit of mileage on it. You might want to check and see when items were last replaced on it. Some people never replace things until they break. They never follow manufacturer suggestions, and then get stranded somewhere ticked off. I'm confused here. Hondas and Toyota are made in North America now. Honda has manufacturing plants in Ohio and Kentucky, and I knew that Toyota was manufactured at a plant in Fremont Californa (same place where Geo was manufactured) until the mid 1990s.

Knowing the EXACT time of Jesus's birth makes you more holy and what? It does what for your relationship with God? My opinion was that TWI wanted to use that stuff to snow us over and make us believe we were the only ones with TRUTH.
-
That is so true SOM!!! I'm glad you felt freedom. Since leaving TWI (4 years ago), I've enjoyed church A LOT! I feel I have a great realtionship with the Lord, and I feel a lot burdens lift from me during worship service. For me, worship service is way more healing and representative of my relationship with God that SIT was any time. I still believe in SIT, I just don't think the way TWI presented it is all that great anymore. And don't get me started on manifestations. BTW, I trashed my nametags. After 5 years on Staff at HQ, I didn't want to wear another nametage ever again. Those darn things were such a representation of religiousity at HQ.

Unfrikkinbelievable! I hope her mother put a restraining order against that @$$hole, and I hope she knows someone in the mafia who can fly to NY to take care of his sorry @$$. Gee, you wonder why Kim Basinger divorced that creep!!!
