Unfrikkinbelievable that people from The Way Corps Household would try to get away with not paying you for your car. I knew many who tried to get away with a lot of stuff that was abominable IMHO. My BCs asked me to watch their house while they were at Corps Week and ROA one year. When I got to their house, they informed me that I needed to pay for rent, utilities, and groceries (which there weren't any). Then they gave me a list of things to clean before they got home. Thank God I'm a different person today who doesn't need the one true household to determine my own self worth. What a lie from hell to teach that .....

Thanks RG! I'm glad I'm not crazy! :)

If they are married, it has a lot to do with how much BS a person will endure. I knew a Corps couple while I was on Staff. He wasn't so convinced of TWI and had talked with others who were disgruntled. She was a diehard and still is. He went from critical thinking to glossing over his concerns to keep his marriage. I'm sure this happens all the time. I have a friend who is Corps. She was divorced with 2 children. She gave her ex husband full custody of the kids so she could go in the Corps, a lifelong dream for her. She went through the program only to work a menial job at HQ and later became frustrated that there is nobody for her to marry. If she gets involved with a nonCorps guy, she has to drop her status. She is still single. I guess being Corps is the ultimate important thing in her life because she doesn't pursue her own happiness so she can stay Corps. It's sad.

Congratulations Jim! It sounds like fun. Living in Northern California, that could be an alternative commute for you! :-) I used to live in the SF Bay Area. My office was in Union City. We had a sales man who lived in Napa. He had a kid in San Jose who would visit him for the weekends. He used to fly to work on Fridays.

The white reply section??? Just call me stupid. I just don't see it. Maybe you can tell me which button to click on and where it is located on the screen.

That would be fun! I've only met up with one greasespotter since being out of TWI for 4 1/2 years.

Oh you are sooo lucky Eyes. My ex-husband tried to use his authority when he wanted to force me to do something. In other words, he used it for his convenience. I usually got POd and left with big FUs. It was a nightmare which lasted for 6 long miserable years, knowing he was abusing drugs for the last 3. My BCs loved him and thought he was wonderful. We tried marriage counseling, but the BC told us he didn't want to hear the problems. He told us to read "Heirs Together in the Grace of Life" in Volume 5 of the collaterals. Yeah, the was really healing and delivering for our marriage. What a copout. Even if I had been able to tell that jackass BC that myhusband was abusing drugs, it wouldn't have helped because you know TWI has a very jaded idea on how to "help" people from drugs. My ex ended up leaving TWI before me. He was paranoid they would find out his dirt. I used TWI to divorce his azz. When I told him I was leaving him, he still tried to use wayspeak on me by saying, "You're off the Word; you're supposed to stand with me not men." My 2nd marriage outside TWI has been a dream come true for me. I have a completely opposite marriage this time. There are no secrets, and we are equals and in LOVE!!

Not yet. I believe there were actual transcripts of the depositions from the Peeler case. One of the questions that came up in RFR's deposition was about what happened with TWI and when she knew about LCM's sexcapades. Everything I read says 1995, yet RFR herself says the newspaper lied. If it is, why doesn't she sue the Sidney Newspaper for libel? You know she wouldn't just let something like that go. She was covering her uh....arse. By saying that to the Staff at that time, she was "believing" we would believe her over the evil seed-spirit ran newspaper.

Dang! Maybe that's why my taco meat tasted funny one time while on HQ Staff. :P

I didn't know Suda was married to Brad Pitt!!!

I married someone who's never been way (NBW). It's all good. He understands and sympathesizes with my frustrations about that place. It's nice to not be reminded of twi except when I come to GSC. I can have a life outside the cult thoughts.

I think I'd ditch the reception as well. How tacky. I could see family pitching in and providing food, but GUESTS????? If I were dirt poor, I still wouldn't ask even family to bring food. I would arrange for simple appetizers and make it a short reception. The gall and nerve of this girl!!???

What convinced you twi was the real deal?

A year? Then I feel REALLY stupid because I was drinking the koolaid for almost 20 years. Why did I get sucked in to begin with: speaking in tongues. I was captivated by it. Now I could care less. -
You gotta give up the Starbucks. It is bitter and will give you heartburn. Peet's coffee is strong without being bitter. Signed, Ex Starbuck's Junkie Now back to our regularly scheduled program...

He is no longer with us, but he ran the website for Ex-Cult World Magazine. He was an ex-wayfer too.

I'm talking to an innie who is very discouraged by their involvement in TWI. I wanted to direct them to the depositions Patrick Roberge had on his website, but I see the site is closed down. Does anyone know where the depositions are?

They will be sorely disappointed witht the Prevailing Word editions. Some things were edited to accommodate Craig's "new light". I worked in Printing Services and thought it was weird they sent them to Way Publications for editing (not just proofreading). During the fog years, I had left TWI in 1990 and came back in 1993. We had a study on "Are the Dead Alive Now?" There was a major discussion with voices being raised because there was a part in the book which had been changed about Elijah never seeing death. Some had books which said one thing, and some had books which said another. Obviously it was something that was slipped in and never told to anyone. I bet they never dreamed a group of people would get together and read their books to discover a difference. I wish I could remember what the difference was. BTW: I sold every single one of my Way books on ebay to a very zealous man in Minnesota. He paid $235. I also sold him my Cambridge Bible for $35. It was brand new and never used. He was very excited to receive the items and preached Dr. VPW to me insessantly. I was polite and didn't even address VPW, or I wouldn't have had anything nice to say. He said he was putting the books in his ministry library for all in his fellowship to read. I think this guy had his own offshoot going. I never bought the prevailing word edition of the collaterals. So mine were from the early 80s. He was happy about that.
