  1. Just mowing the grass takes a crew of people. I never worked so hard in my life!!! I felt like I had been beaten severely after working there for a week. Most of it was grounds work. Some was housekeeping work.
  2. Very interesting and funny! I bet VPW was spinning in his grave over that one!!
  3. Yeah I felt weird vibes there too like something weird went on there in previous years. Of course devil spirits couldn't invade any place TWI owned because they have THE TRUTH!!!! I don't know that I believe in the whole devil spirit thing, but I definitely think past events can affect a place.
  4. The basement of that place creeped me out. I spent a week as a slave there right before they sold it. There is an area in the basement which isn't finished, and you can see the ground. I walked through the place completely empty except for the regular staff of 6 adults and a couple of kids. That was really weird too. I got really freaked out because I was by myself.
  5. In the Peeler deposition, RFR says employee costs are about 60%. I don't know how true that is, but that's what she says. That covers salaries, medical, and 401K. Hmmm....I wonder if I'm still on "the list". I was not M&A, but I sure made it clear I wanted nothing to do with them. I sent my BC an email telling her I was out of there and wanted NOBODY to contact me EVER AGAIN!!! I had an innie boyfriend at the time who kept sending messages from people telling me they loved me and to tell me hi. It was all fine and dandy, but I felt they just wanted me to come back. I was embarrassed in my own fellowship for not going for a week while my parents and family visited me on my birthday. When I went back to fellowship, they said they had a card to give me and they would celebrate, but I chose not to be at fellowship on my birthday. They were really good at making people feel special. We did our own birthday parties when I was on Staff.

    BAD NEWS

(((((MO))))) Dang! I'm sorry to hear that. I will pray for healing. It's good the MRI caught it. Praying for a quick surgery date too.
  7. I can't say for sure, but I would guess anywhere between 100-125. Nato, were you at that meeting? It was at a hotel in Anaheim (on the east side of I-5?) for the anniversary celebration that year. It was HORRIBLY long and boring!!!!! They had 20-year recognitions at that event.
  8. I baby-sat from 12-15. Then I got my first job at a fast food restaurant at 15.

    Inkblot Test

Outcome A - The Human. Based on the descriptions you chose, you are practical, reliable, friendly, and fit in with people quite nicely. You probably have a regular family and do well in acedemia.
  10. Shell, Johnsonville brats are the best imho.
  11. BINGO!!!! I remember hearing people brag that twi was the fastest growing cult in the nation. What pride is in that statement? It's just plain ignorant.
  12. She left HQ in 1999 and married a guy named T*dd H*rne. Last I knew they lived in Virginia Beach. They were in when I saw them last in 2002 at the ACS in Dallas. I'm sure they are still in.
  13. DOOJ!!! Are we talking about food????
  14. We boil them to do the thorough cooking, and then we throw them on the grill for the grilled taste. Then we sautee some onions. OK, a lot of onions!!! Then we warm fajita size flour tortillas, and wrap the brats with sauteed onions and add mustard. YUM!!!! We like the torillas because they are still soft from warming and aren't too much bread like a bun would be.
  15. I don't know that Tony got right with NY again. He talked to Phil's guys, but then Tony got the lead from the Fed where the calls were coming from so they could nail Phil Leotardo. There are probably some NY guys who want retaliation for Phil's death. That may be why there was so much focus on other patrons in the ending restaurant scene. I agree the ending sets it up for a movie.
  16. I know one word keeps coming up, but I have to say it again. They are beautiful!!! Thanks for sharing the pics. You have a reason to be proud.
  17. There were a lot of abuses and hurts caused to a lot of people. Coming here to have those who understand where you've been can be healing. It's a place to vent, and those who want to hear you can. Talking about hurts can help you get past them. It did for me.
  18. My first experience with protocol was standing for our WOW Family coordinator every time he entered the room we were in. That really sucked and seemed unfruitful. But it was part of TWI's religious efforts.
  19. It's based on a fundamentalist mormon group in Colorado City, Arizona. 99.9% of the people who live there are involved in this religion and are polygamist. There's been a lot of controversy in that area since they believe in making under aged teens get married. Their leader is in jail now. Google Warren Jeffs if you want more information about them. He was the prophet for this group. Big Love is about a guy who left the polygamist gorup and has 3 wives himself as he and his polygamist friend run their home improvement stores. They run in to political issues with the prophet since the main character, Bill Paxton, has family still in the compound.
  20. He didn't seem nonchalant to me. Remember him watching every person who walked through the door? And the ending is him looking at the door before the screen went black? I think if the movie does start up at this point, we will be expecting to see Meadow. It will be interesting to see who it is. I hate when things end abrubtly like that. Remember when the Matrix 2 and 3 were split up right in the middle of a scene?
  21. Yeah, the switch to a black screen while Tony is looking up as Meadow is supposed to be walking in after she has a hard time parallel parking her car??? What does it mean? Even though Phil Leotardo is dead, is he still freaked out about retaliation from NYC Mob memebers? It seemed he was watching every person walking through the place. They left it like "OK, here's another day in a mob boss' life". Now he's enjoying dinner with his family after they had all locked down for fear of being killed. Yes, I was disappointed as well. I wonder if the movie picks up from the restaurant scene. I wonder if the movie will be worth seeing. If there is a movie. Dammitanyhow!!
  22. OK, if you haven't watched it yet, dont' read any further.

  24. I was thinking about this more, and I don't ever remember a scripture being given to show he is absent. I know there are verses saying he sits at the right hand of the Father. That does not mean he cannot communicate with his Church. Templelady, it is very intersting the points you make about Paul the Apostle. I have often felt that the Bible isn't what TWI made it out to be. I really believe it was written for men. Sure, there are things we can glean from and apply to our lives; but I sure don't think it should be elevated the way TWI did. And I don't care that there is a verse that says God elevated His Word above His name. That could be taken more than one way. TWI just used that verse to promote their Bible Worshipping Cult.
