  1. I also hear he's working at Home Depot now. Is that a step up from Bally's and UPS?
  2. Quotes from Georgio Jessio: "So in the next few months, expect a move , possibly a coup that would place Rosie as "retired" with all the benefits that come with that. Expect a young, charismatic, visionary, hot shot with an eye on growth, outreach and marketing who looks and acts the part of a charismatic church leader with a TV ready face to be the new persident. He's a 2nd generation wayfer, a lifer. His name is B. Moneyhands. Do not be surprised if this happens. My old pals are angling for it and when they read this (yes they do read the board here) they are probably going to put me back on the black list." "Young, smart, life long member, 2nd generation, good looking, great public speaker, groomed, charsimatic. I don't think he's a puppet. From what I'm told he's been failry critical of the way things are now. Hence the potential for a coup of sorts. I think he has dilusions of a grandiose lifestyle. He's very motivated and relentless and can be very nasty. A true 80's style wayfer." I wonder how all of this will play out since it's been exposed here at the cafe. I'm sure this has caused many heads to swirl and maybe even some to roll!!! It will be some interesting months in TWI. It seems weird that these guys called you GJ. They should have KNOWN you would put it on here. They know people in TWI read GSC, and I'm sure even RFR has someone read it for her to keep her informed of things even she may not know. In all of this, I feel really really sorry for those wayfers who really are in it for the love of God. Too bad they don't think church can offer them anything. Many of them would be be much happier if they changed that mind-set.
  3. I do remember that he and his wife got pregnant almost instantly after they got married. This was during a time that no women under 36 were allowed to have babies on The Way's dime. They became an exception. LCM said because it was an accident. Why this was a lunch time discussion is beyond me. But I also remember another couple in Florida who got pregnant and were ousted from the Corps. LCM was foaming at the mouth and discussing many personal things (i.e., they were only using condoms as birth control ). These two incidents were not far apart. It is a great example of the extreme favoritism and not about walking with God. Anytime someone is an exception to the rule, it brings up $h1t. I wonder why BM and his wife were allowed to have a baby and still stay in the Corps. LCM probably saw he had potential to make him one of his hench men. BM has been brainwashed since birth. B and D Moyn**** were in twi since 1968 or so. I don't know the guy personally. He and I never crossed paths when I was on Staff. If he can get nasty, those wayfers are in for another good ride.....Gawd I am so glad I left. Maybe it will self-destruct afterall.
  4. I don't serve any lousy coffee.....pffffffftttt!!!Here is a cup for the newbie. Groucho, you get her a nice danish, will ya??
  5. Are you talking about Aaron and Liz? They left HQ? Are they running something for TWI somewhere else?
  6. HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIWAY 29!!
  7. Yay!!! Chas! He is so darn cute! His name is Tanker? I love their short little legs. I have big smiles all around because I LOVE dogs so much, and it warms my heart to know when one gets in a great home. Some day when I win the lottery, I will run a dog rescue.
  8. Jonny, You have to be careful with that kind of stuff in this PC world. That could constitute as sexual harassment. Thankfully for you the girl appreciated that you liked the way her hair smelled.
  9. I live in Arizona. Do we really have to talk about how hot it is?? Going outside is like sticking your face in an oven.
  10. I like Lolita Lempicka. It has a lot of vanilla in it. I get a lot of compliments on "my" scent. I've been wearing it for about 4 years now.
  11. I remember leadership asking people if they could teach the class if they had to. I think it was coming down to times of desperation for some when they thought about separating from the organization. I remember being approached to type the PFAL class so that it wouldn't be "lost". Thinking back on it now, it seems weird to think our whole spiritual life was based on the knowledge in some class. Talk about putting God in a box.
  12. I wonder if the niece is going to the Advanced Class or working at HQ or going Way Disciple. When does she turn 18?
  13. Thanks. I like that. I did toss ALL of the bath water. Then I started fresh. Maybe I adopted some things back, but it is with a different mind-set. It's not about having the all and only truth. For me, it's more about a relationship with Him (which includes Jesus).
  14. ROOT BEER FLOATS??? :o I want one!!! They are my favorite!! Hmmmmmm.....I'm going ot SONIC for breakfast.
  15. I always thought the earring on the right side was a gay sign back then. I remember my cousins making sure they didn't want to pierce their right ear. Today, it doesn't mean anything because men wear one or more in each ear.
  16. (((((Ophelia))))) I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. May God continually comfort year heart and heal it. You are always welcome here. It's great to see you back. I've changed names a few times since you've been here. I started as Wayferlookin (when I was still an innie), then I went to WayferNot!, and now I'm just Nottawayfer. Mandii has not posted for YEARS. I have her email, and I drop her a line every once in awhile.
  17. I didn't put myself in the place that LCM did. He was a minister, and he actually should have been holding a higher standard as a minister. Any person in their right mind wouldn't have hurt people the way he did. I don't buy the one sin is the same as any other sin crap. That was something VPW taught to cover his own arse. So you really can't compare what LCM did with "regular" people. He is a sociopath. That doesn't excuse his behavior. And personally I don't care if he replies. I know he won't because he is a coward. It's not about calling a kettle black. It's about owning up to damage you did. His mistakes were not small.

I don't understand what you mean here. Kindly explain? I'm sorry I'm a little (or a lot!!) dense.
  19. I was sent to Waco, Texas. Need I say anymore? It was 1984. We stayed for 3 months. Our WFC got kicked out of the Corps and off the field for drinking too much. The remaining 3 of us (two 19-year-olds and I was 20) were reassigned to Midland, Texas, with 2 guys that were 30. I guess I liked Midland. I stayed there for 4 years. But when I was ready to leave, all hell couldn't stop me. I never desired to go back to Texas again. This "yankee" stayed away.
  20. I just saw the article Dmiller posted. That is a great explanation of Portland, but they didn't mention much about the outdoorsy stuff. If you like microbrew, you can't miss McMennamin's pubs while there. Drink a Ruby for me while you're at it!
  21. There is no place like the Pacific Northwest! Hubby and I are headed to Portland (Vancouver, wAshington) ourselves. We love Seattle too, but it is a bit too large and congested. It is the most beautiful place on earth IMHO!! You have to like lots of cloudy days though and lots of drizzling rain. Trade that for clean air with greenery and georgousness everywhere you look. Portland doesn't get that much snow. It has a lower elevation. I think Seattle is the same too. You MUST go check it out!! Although I was born in Oregon and am partial to the PNW, I've lived in 5 states (Oregon, Texas, California, Ohio, and Arizona). : I LOVE Oregon the best. San Diego was a pretty awesome place to live too, but it's next to impossible to own a house there now. Since you are no longer a wayfer, surely you will be getting a mortgage, right?? ;) If you are an outdoorsy person, you can't beat Portland. It has one of the largest city parks with great hiking trails, a zoo, two rivers running through. It's only an hour from the Beach. We were there at Christmas, and the grass was still green!!!
  22. I had read some articles somewhere that there could be a possible link to the growing rate of autism and vaccinations. My sister, born in 1973, had terrible allergic (???) reactions to her vaccinations. She developed horrible blisters on her hands, arms and chest from the Measle/Mump/Rubella vaccine.
  23. That was some funny stuff!!! But I will never let someone bury me in the sand up to my head!
  24. Speaking of Way Prod: Is this what they do when they get a "real" job?? Royal Kitchen Expensive Stuff!
