  1. I'd personally like to be on this ship so I could anonymously watch the show.
  2. I personally never thought there was a difference between a polygamist and a dirty old man.
  3. I have been out for about 25 years now and I still find myself with waybrain. For example, I have thought of hypnosis as a possible means to help overcome severe habits such as emotional eating or smoking. But, to this day, every time I think of hypnosis my mind goes back for a moment to the old thinking that it's devil spirit operated. Speaking of devil spirits, that's another thing. Much as I don't want to, I still find myself wondering sometimes if they really aren't out there trying to get me. On another note, I went back to church for awhile a couple of years ago. Even though the folks there were lovely and nobody tried to coerce me, I still found myself dissecting the words & behaviors of my "unbeliever" associates outside the church, just like I did back in the Way. These "unbelievers" included my close friends and husband. Needless to say, when that started happening, I RAN RAN RAN away from church attendance as fast as my little legs would carry me and I haven't been back since.
  4. I don't hear from Him. I wish I did. I've asked many times. I believe I've seen several fast, obvious, and direct answers to prayer, but never a good talk. I find that sad.
  5. Rascal and others, if you're scared of swine flu, then you should be REALLY scared of getting in your car and driving to work (or wherever) each day. Take a look at those statistics and swine flu will seem like a bubble bath.
  6. My newest addition, Hoover the corgi, attacks water that is being sprayed out of a hose. He gets soaked whenever I water the patio plants.
  7. Hi Chas, We have cats & dogs. A lot of them. Hair is a problem, and leather is easy to keep clean, so we have leather furniture in the rooms where the pets go. However, you need to know that cats will rip leather apart just like anything else. What we do is consider our "pet room" furniture disposable. We buy for cheap or get for free used leather sets off Craigslist. I keep them covered when not in use by us. They stay nice for awhile, but if the time comes that they are trashed, we give them to a fraternity house and then get another Craigslist set. This way, you get your leather, it looks nice, it's easy to keep clean. But, you won't rip your hair out when the pets damage it. Plus, you get to redecorate your room every couple years. Yahoo!
  8. I have also read this book and I can add my enthusiasm to Johnny's. It is downright excellent. A definite must read.
  9. I wish I could have found him sooner. Of course I would have ask him about the last 33 years, his family etc. and if he still had the guitar that we bought. I'd like to know if he had heard from anyone else we hung out with. If you could tell me these things I would like to know.

  10. Hello Insagent007,

I am sorry to tell you that the Chuck Quady that you read about on this site is indeed the same one you knew in the Air Force in Spain. I am Chuck's ex-wife. We had been divorced for over 20 years when he died, but we had a daughter together and he lived locally, so we kept in touch. If you want further info, email me at ldev@sbcglobal.net.

    Best,

  11. Please contact me if you can. I had a very good friend in Spain, while in the USAF. His name was Chuck Quady. I have been trying to locate him and came across sad news on this site. I want to find out if he is the same person I knew.

  12. My husband and I both learned something about the Beatles yesterday at the Body Worlds 2 exhibit in San Jose, CA. When the Beatles started performing together, John & Ringo were only 18 years old. Paul was 16, and George was a tender 15. Imagine if Paul and Georges folks had forbid them to "waste their time playing their guitars all the time" in favor of concentrating on their studies.....
  13. Dave & I have a GREAT relationship. I know he loves me without a doubt and I certainly love him. It's been 18 years now. We even made it through the hardships of raising each other's children from previous marriages. He is the love of my life.
  14. Hi Belle, I live in the area and would love to meet you and show you around a little, but I will be in Missouri over Labor Day weekend for a family reunion. Weatherwise, believe me, I'd MUCH rather be in San Francisco. But, alas, family obligations await. Have a GREAT time. Lynne
  15. I'm going to come over to your house and steal him!!! I need him to give my two girl corgis a run for their money. I have two red and white pembrokes, Agnes Fable 9, and Beatrice Sue Ann 7. He's TOO CUTE! Welcome to the wonderful world of Corgi parenthood. You'll love it. I think my goal in life is to roll around in a sea of corgis.
