Letter from John Lynn
Mr Incredible replied to Jeff USAF RET's topic in Spirit and Truth Fellowship International
I too must applaude Johns heart - but to call it 'pontificating' I would have to politely disagree. What I read was an outpouring of heart - and yes, we all know that 'sincerity is no guarantee for truth' (to coin a worn out phrase), however the words that were spoken were spoken with love and were chosen very carefully as to not be offensive. Thats love in any language in my book... God bless :) -
Hello Cafe - I guess I am still to new to say welcome because you were actually here before me (but welcome anyway!). I agree with Act2 tho - We all look back on TWI and remember some good times...I must admit it wasnt all bad (but the bad was really bad!) Hang out - this place can be fun, and theres a lot of fun people here... Bless - Michael.

....Sounds like this whole concept has brought out a bunch of mixed feelings....perhaps it is fair to say that the doctrine was questionable as it has trouble supporting itself spiritually? (P.S - where is everyone getting their really cool 'id' pictures??? I gotta dumb lookin 4x4!) Michael B. -

Hi yall - Rottie, you guys are a riot!! One question - did you have the urge for a smoke after your 'eggs in a hole?" (sorry, poor taste...) Anyway - I never took the class either and I suspect based on other classes I took thru TWI it started out with the best of intentions but not taught as well as it could have been...? Again, I am guessing here and only basing my little opinion on the posts I have read. Also as some have pointed out, some prople react differently to such subjects, where some found it humerous others were embarrassed by them... anyway it is interesting reading thru all the posts... (P.S - I have never thought 'them' to be ugly at all !) Michael B. [This message was edited by Michael B. on September 20, 2003 at 16:08.] -
:)--> Hi there lifted. I like your post and I have to say that I agree wtih you. Frankly I think we all might be better off if we were to actually unload some of the hurt feelings that came away with us from TWI. After all, isnt that why we signed up for a site like this in the 1st place? To be with others that shared similar instances and perhaps find some healing? Myself, I am absolutely willing to lend a shoulder or ears to anyone out there that should ever need them, for is that not what the Love of God is about?? (I Corinthians 13:4)... I love you guys ... we are all in this together!! Michael B.

Hello all - I signed up for this news group because I think I share a common emotion with most or all of us who come to sights like these. We were all once part of something wonderful, and were surrounded by wonderful people that we loved very much. Then suddenly things started feeling dark and unusual.... The wonderful feeling that we had about being involved in something wonderful turned into feelings of sadness and regret. Most hurtfull of all, people that had been so dear to us no longer wanted to associate with us. A lot of us left the ministry asking ourselves wheat we had done wrong, while a lot of us left conscienciously with the knowlege that it was time to move on. Which ever of these apply, the outcome is still the same. It left us with a gaping hole in our hearts that some of us are still trying to repair. The healing process for me has taken almost 15 years and I can honestly say now that I can think about past times in the minstry without feeling angry or tearing up. I suspect the final stage of my healing process will be to find those so dear to me and make ammends or rekindle old friendships. So far, I am still looking for two very dear friends and great men of God that had a tremendous impact on my life spiritually, but there are many more that I intend to locate. Hopefully they will have me when I do. I know this much - whether they do or do not, I know that God will get me through it all. I know that I am still part of the body of Christ, and I know that I am still born again of Gods holy spirit and I will never lose that which was given to me. I pray for those of you that have experienced similar events in their lives and hope that those old wounds have been healed. It is important for all of us to remember that God still loves each and every one of us even if we are not involved with TWI and that we are ALL going to heaven and all hell cant stop us! God Bless to all - Michael B.
