Up till 2 years ago I had a 94 Dakota-4cylinder 2.2 motor with over 250,000. No one would believe how small that motor was. Great on gas.

If they wanted to do something nice why are they asking for folks to come to their church. Smells of religion to me. But I must admit I do have some way brain left I'm sure. I've been thinking recently about the whole concept behind TWI HQs. It was a farm out in the middle of nowhere. Most of us here spent time there mowing lawns, picking weeds or feeding cattle. What good did it really do. Old VP used to say he wanted to teach people how to work. But---------when you really think about it, should this be the purpose of a so called World Outreach location. Are there not secular programs like--------------- "schools" ----------that teach people fundamental skills of learning and physical activities. Wouldn't it have been more beneficial for a so called HQs to be located in an area where there were actually people to help. And isn't it still the same old thing they are promoting.------------------ Nothing has changed. I think we were duped and VP got a free ride off his family farm which he hoodwinked out of his brothers in the name of God. What a crock. Just thinking.

Maybe we could come up with a new title to fit our current understanding- The grand daddy of "Great Pretenders" comes to mind.

Where's Hammy when you need him. I don't think I can make a blanket statement like "no regrets". Just my opinion. To me it wasn't just the word that was taught. There were "hooks" and "strings" attached to everything twi taught and promoted. Time, money, and commitment were demanded of you. It wasn't just a request. Guilt, fear, intimidation were tools used to motivate us to do things their way. I am thankful for the Word I learned but in twi there was and is a steep price to pay. Too steep.

Sky-Perhaps an experience I had with the j2p2 corpse could help answer part of your question. I was a grad of VPs corps as you know. One day one of the new j2p2 corpusles sent to our area took me aside and told me what LOY had told them. He told to me that they the new corps (j2p2) corps trained under LOY had gifts in operation. (really you get this from being in a program?). They were trained on a higher level than VPs corps and that it was sort of like out with the old and in with the new. Well that was news to me. I figured out that this was about the most dumbest thing I had ever heard. It was about then that I also figured that things were so messed up with twi that it was time to exit. Glad I did.

You gotta wait a bit for the song but it's worth it. I lost it on this one. It's hilarious. If anyone knows of any more like this let me know.

Yeah my question about what gave them the right etc. is me speaking in the present tense. What happened in the past was a different storey. Yes they did demand all our time. In fact those who were working full time as I did for a while had to and still have to submit daily schedules of exactly what you will be doing with your time. Talk about control.

Yeah Sky-Why did they have any right to tell us what we could do with our spare time. Why didn't we tell them to shove it then? VP was all show and not much action. He would proclaim how he got up at 4am every morning. No wonder he slept during the day while we were working our tails off to bring in the money that we had no right to touch. Great thread.
