Heard today that Gunnison is going to be open to anyone for holidays. Can't wait to see who shows up. Bet that's going to cause quite a stir. I'm sure they'd love for a bunch of us to show up. Can you say "food fight".

Way to go Potato=You do more good "here". You are always welcome at our home

No debt? Another let's make the Word say what we want it to say. Another botched system of error that twi has gotten themselves into. Every time you make a purchase on a credit card you are in debt. Where does it stop. Doesn't this make more senese? Buy a home, pay off the mortgage as soon as you can, then you are living debt free the rest of your life. What the "heck" are they thinking, I guess theyr'e not.

New name for Potato-My guess is "half baked". Haaaaa so sorry, couldn't resist.

And what would cause people to do such a thing-could it be fear!

Changed? What have they changed, I'd ask. I have a guy working for me who is still in twi and he tells me nothing has changed. They still have the scripted boring SNS teachings they have to sit through every month. Way Productions plays the same boring songs over and over. They still sing the same hymns over and over. Rosalie won't let anyone teach anything that hasn't already been taught. Same stuff over and over. Personally my answer would be- I'd rather sit here at the north pole and watch the ice melt.

Get a lawyer-rake them over the coals.

Pinklady-when do we get to see you in the bikini. I agree, most of us have to be careful with running. It's great while you are young but when you are older you have to watch the knees. I've run for over 30 years and my knees are starting to ache. Now I'm stuck on a stationary bike watching Oprah-ha. One thing I also done to help my knee ligaments is to take glucosimine chlondriotin-helps the joints. I've also switched from blended scotch to single malt! lol.

Sounds like something TWI did to me while I was a Way Corps resident. We were allowed to store several boxes of personal belongings in a storage room that was provided. I was sent to another campus and while I was away some bone head leader named John Lynn made a decision that they were going to throw out any belongings that were not claimed by those at that certain campus. He failed to think about those who were away. What gives people the right to throw away others personal belongings. I had personal stuff in there that can not be replaced. When I returned to the campus and found out about it and spoke up, all I told was that it was a decision made by top leadership and nothing could be done.

Way Productions-a term coined by TWI's HQ's to be the official ministers of music for the ministry. Anyone else outside of HQ's who had anything to do with music was unoticed and unwanted, and would never be allowed to promote their music to anyone in the ministry.

I'm surprised she didn't call the corps together and put you through the guantlet and make you marked and avoided. Good thing you ran. Best thing you ever did.

Way to go Ron G. -You brought up a good point. We should know what our bodies need. And especially about taking care of our weight. Most doctors agree that you not let your waist get over 36'' for men and 34'' for women. I wish everyone could read what you just printed. It is great to see someone who is serious about taking care of themselves. I try to eat lots of lean meat, fish, and veggies-the veggies I grow myself when it's not frozen over here. You probably will live 10 to 20 years longer than you would have without doing this. I'll bet you feel great too. Is it worth it=hell yeah.

Thanks DMiller-what a great bit of history. You should have been a teacher. John Renbourne-wow I'll have to look him up.

Loved the poem, and thanks for sharing your heart. I have friends who I know are going through problems but still they refuse to share their hearts. I guess the only thing we can do is continue to love.

Socks-Nu life brand has a product with alpha lipoic acid and ginkgo together. Ginkgo is good for helping the memory (as long as I remember to take it) Waysider-good stuff on mental health=how about having fun on greasespot. Now you've got me going on food- Jim=beets are great. Come visit, I grow em and pickle em. Try lots of brocoli too, it has more good stuff than most other veggies (lots of antioxidants) Dear Abby-Whole grain breads-good idea they are much better than just whole wheat. I have a bread maker, it's great-I go the the bulk food store buy flax seeds and whole grains to through in my bread.

Perhaps this has been done, but I couldn't find anything. I want to stay fit so I can drink, belch and fart my way into old age. Anyone have any tips (be nice). My doctor told me to stop running because my knees are not so great anymore. He said an excersice bike or swimming would be better. So I bought an excersice bike and I love it, I can do it while watching Ellen on TV. Just read a book where this world renowned doctor says to stay fit, you need 30 minutes of aerobics and weight training 3 times a week. Any more or less will not do much. He also says taking 2 baby aspirins a day will do wonders for your heart.

Mr. Strange-thanks for all your input here. Your'e not so strange after all. Have a great birthday from your friends way up north.

Don't know if it's been done but I would like to start something on how to stay healthy. I'll start and hopefully others will join in. A must- 1 Exercise 30 minutes at least 3 times a week. A combination of muscle training and aerobics is the best. (that why you can have a couple of drinks a dayand belch or whatever and not gain too much weight.)

Catcup-I think you nailed it when you said "they jump in too fast". I think that's the key. The internet is just a tool, it's how you use it that determines what's beneficial or not. So with that said, always take things slowly when it comes to developing relationships. I will offer one piece of advice: ask lots of questions not only from the one you are interested in but from others who know them so you can get unbiased opinions.

Great movie if you like R&B. Heart wrenching music from beginning to end.

CoolWaters-What a heart you have. Great post I love to hear these stories. Yes the problem with twi is "motive" you got it straight. Many times what I saw was- power related, "cause I'm the leader, you do this" or money related-"we need to witness more to bring in more". The promogation of the corporation. Thank God here at GSC we don't need the money, the power struggle doesn't exist, there are no leaders. Ahhhhhhh what a wonderful world. Sit back enjoy the conversation. There is still a little of twi thinking here but what dc you expect, it won't all go away at once. One thing twi misses big time is how to genuinely love people. Especially in reproof. I don't want to go into a big discourse here because it has been covered in other threads, but genuine love even in reproof should be tender and kind. Jesus Christ was always tender with his loved ones. He only got firm with the hard hearted ones. It should be that we just want to help bring people back up to the Word who have been caught in a fault. They have to choose to do it, we are just the messenger to help those who may have forgotten how good and loving and forgiving God is. What a great thing it is. Reproof should be done with respect and great love for the person. Wow we can even do that here. Let's have a great yeat together.
