Dear Oak- It was called corps nite cause they turned us all into "corpses". I thought it was so silly we had this hype put on us all day long by the mog's ""it's corps night tonight stay sharp" and we'd have to put on suits to go listen to someone who couldn't see us anyway because it was a phone hookup. What the hell did I get mysielf into?

Thanks to all you who have contributed here. I have enjoyed hearing all the diversity of artists here. Many have touched my heart. I mentioned in my last posts about buying cds. Actually a good way to go about obtaining these tunes for your cd players is to download Itunes or a similar music site off of the net. Then you can hear 30 second clips of all the artists tunes and pick the ones you like for 99 cents a song. You are still supporting the artist but are cutting down on shipping and handling costs. You can also pick the tunes you like from several of their different cds and make your own "best of" collection. I like making "music collages" from seveal different artists on one cd. Have fun.

If you don't have this guy in you collection you have to get him- Dan Fogelburg. Buy his double cd with "The Reach" and "Leader of the Band". Also buy the cd with "Longer Than" here is that song. (these helped me through many hard times while I was in Nazi camp, uh I mean residence.

Sounds like we're goin' country with all the John Prine and Indigo girls etc. Here's one that'll make you "cry in your beer" err "coffee" Good ol' Emmy Lou Harris. (Maybe we should have a country week).

I remember someone getting yelled at because they gave some corps tomatoes from their garden. It was called a gift.

Lindy -I was talking only about one area. There weren't many of course. This area didn't have wd's for years because they couldn't get more than one. Hope that explains it.

Okay get this. The way disciples this year were sent out to the same city they were from. They had to quit their jobs. Go for training? Then they went back to this same city for six months and had to find a new job. When they finished the big "to do" was about how many people they had talked to. That was it. Can you beleive that peole are actually still doing this, and that they haven't figured it out yet. All to promote the corporation. Someone hit me over the head for doing this a couple of times in my past.

Here's another Rakin Family tune for the celtic fans. By the way they just got back together after being apart for the last ten years or so. Another great celtic group from Canada-Great Big Sea

Someone asked for a Rankin Family song. Here it is, it's not a great version the cd version is much better. When this song was first put on the radio people from all over were calling into the radio station crying and asking who it was.If anyone wants a copy of their first CD which is their best let me know and I can probably dig one up somewhere. They are from Cape Breton, their music is very celtic. I'll try to find a more upbeat one too. Where's Ala.

I'm non American. Twi is almost gone here. I have contacts with many other International folks who were involved with twi and they say twi has followers in only a few countries now. Very little in Europe, they chased them all away. Zaire is the only halfway sized work and it's going downhill fast.

did you ever hear wierwille apologize for anything ?
polar bear replied to excathedra's topic in About The Way
No I nver heard him apologize for anything, very interesting. He trained those who followed him well too. Never heard LCM or Rosie do it either. -
do you understand the notes you made in your bible?
polar bear replied to coolchef's topic in About The Way
I refused to put the word "also" where it belonged in my bible, or so VP said. -
Did someone mention John Prine. I love that guy. Love that song Le'ts talk dirty in Hawiian. You can hear it if you go to youtube and type that name in. Unfortunately they don't allow sharing of that song. I play it for boat cruises. I'm looking for other fun songs like this, does anyone know of any? Doesn't have to be John Prine but Dear Abby is a good one too. Also I'm looking for good singalong songs like Alice's Restaurant, Cover of the Rolling Stone etc. Anyone know any?

RG- thanks for those great tunes. I love Clapton. Act2-Thanks for the Steve Holly tune. He is great. Love Allan Jackson-did he do "It's 5 Oclock Somewhere"? I played that at a music gig last week and folks went nuts over it. Let me know when your bluegrass festival is and we might come down. I love that stuff.
