What is your non-spiritual, non-relgious stress reliever?
polar bear replied to Tony Soprano's topic in Open
Nothing like, sailing (especially on a warm night with the full moon lighting your path-heaven. Dinner with friends and family. Have you seen the movie- "Notting Hill". I love the dinnner scene. Good music, (live is the best). And of course "adult moments". -
Gardening? Now you're talkin'. I love it. It's in my blood, I can't help it, my ancestors were Polish farmers. I"m compelled to do it. I'm so proud of my garden my wife is jealous. I had my first juicy red tomatoes today. Man were they good. If you've never tasted a snow pea fresh from the garden you haven't lived. They are sweeter than candy. And when I pickle the beets, ahhh, they are heaven. Basically I grow a salad. I eat salad everyday for lunch with chicken or tuna on it. I go outside before work with scissors and cut my lunch. (lettuce of course). I'm planting my second crop of lettuce now. Then I pick some beans and tomatoes and "voila". Dmiller I live right near a lake too, don't let that stop you I'm the next lake over from you. LOL This year I've got three kinds of lettuce. Romaine, Red, and Leaf. I like the Red the best. I also have tomatoes, zucchini, red peppers, green peppers, egg plant, cucumbers, brocolli, brussel sprouts, onions, leeks, beans, snow peas, beets, spinach, hand bok choy (a celery like white stalked veggi that is great in a stir-fry) Then I have a few herbs like oregano, thyme, rosmary etc. I don't have a big yard, in fact it's at the side of my house. It's only about 12x8. But I pact it in. Don't be afraid to try it. I know literally nothing about it, but I have fun. Just takes a little water thats all. The only sad thing is we are selling our house and have bought a floating house on the water. At least we'll have no mortage. We want to travel for a few years and have no maintenance. Oh well, my gardening days are coming to an end. Maybe someday after we're done travelling I'll most likely be back at it again.

I would just pretend to go running. And head out to a local establishmet. What a baaaaaad boy I was.

Anoher one you can't embed. But you can go to Youtube and type in Kristen Hall-Just Might Make Me Believe. Nice tune.
-
Cliff Eberhard- Embedding isn't allowed so you have to go to Youtube and hear him play Blackbird Song No.1. Great guitarist and he can sing a mean tune. Check out his song about Elivs.

So the answer is-Rosie got to be Prez. because she bent over further than anyone else was willing to.
-
Only if I could have complete control over everything-oppps someone already has that.
-
Waysider-The guitar solo in "These arms of mine" was a killer. Thanks for that. It sounded like he was using a Line 6 amp. I have one, boy they can put out some good sound. MStar-That rendition of "Stars and Stripes" on the classical guitar was fantastic. Boy can he play. Great performance.

Dear Dot-If you are really serious, you would apply at the Canadian Consulate in Washington. Don't know much more than that.
-
Rarely am I serious but-thanks for all you contribute to make the world a better place. Keep up the good work.

Boy, I thought it was a comedy show. Is that for real? There was one Way Prod. lady who truly touched my heart when she sang. I had the privilege of meeting her, she was a gem. Her and her hubby were run off by LRoy and his boy toys. But I would love to hear her again someday. Her name-Vicky Allen.

Right on Hammy-More like Auschwitz-ization.

Nova Scotia, now you're talkin'. Great place for retirement.
-
What they are doing now is allowing tiwts to come for visits, sort of like a resort, but it's a last resort for twi to earn extra cash and keep the place alive.
-
It's called trancendental music, it puts you into a trance. Those are the best damn trained robots I've seen in awhile,
-
Nova Scotia, you your'e talkin'. It's a different world there. It's like stepping back in time. Definately for those in retirement mode.
-
All the best to you and your bride to be. PS. I have an old corps ring you could melt down and make something useful out of.)
-
Come up for a visit anytime. We'll show you around. Very peaceful for the most part.

"Goin' to the chapel and we're, goona get married." Congrats Bow, get out your tie.

I'm not sure what the official name is but it's sort of a blow up room that kids jump around in. You can rent them. Kids have a riot on them, and it will surely wear the the little monsters out.

First you have to watch a hundred episiodes of the "Red Green Show". Next you have to spend some time sitting in a freezer -(to get used to the cold). Then you have to learn to say "eh" at the end of every sentence. Last but not least, you have to go to Florida every winter. And you're in. Just say pleeeeee--ase.
-
"Institutionalized". I love it. Could I add "lobotomized" too.

As I mentioned before Playa Del Carmen is across the bay from Cozumel. They have totally rebuilt since the hurricane. I would highly recommend it. I go to Playa Del Carmen every winter. One of the best places I've been too. It's like a small village and the main street is cobblestone and no cars are allowed on it. Great shopping and restaurants. It is lush and gorgeous. Just make sure you take graval for the trip across the bay. And do it on a calm day.

Skyrider-Once again you have graced our lives-great topic. That's a sore point with many of us. You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. I'll take the "don't." I'm still trying to make something of my life after twi. I, like many was tricked into investing all I had into twi's corporate scene. Glad to see others have "busted the chains".
