Why is it that folks who feel that GSC may not be their particular "thing" always want to climb up on some pedastal somewhere and foist their thoughts and ideas about what GSC is and isn't to them upon others??? Bumpy (and the others like you who do not think of GSC as a multi-diminsional community): IF GSC AINT YOUR CUP OF TEA, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE... but please spare us your condescending sermons... we can easily 'get' from your posts that nobody's opinion here matters as much as your own, that's pretty evident. Just go away if you don't like it here... but please spare us your condescension OK? The reason I feel this way is because I don't feel like GSC is anyplace that I "have to move on from"... I didn't come here seeking anything other than reconnecting with friends from long ago. And cyberspace makes it easy to stay in touch not only on an individual basis but also as a community... there may be folks who are just passing through, as you and others have suggested is the purpose of this place, and they do pass through... but not everyone is here for the same reason... so again, please spare us your thoughts on that matter... it's really tiresome and takes away from any sense of credibility of honesty that I may have given you the benefit of previously.

in all fairness to the estimated prophet, he/she may have gotten the "parroted" thing from my post (#440, following his/her initial post #439) where I did suggest that he/she was not using his/her brain for original thought... (which I still am inclined to believe BTW)... :)

It seems senor socks has certainly been sleeping around! One of my quirks is that I notice other people's quirks! also: not putting the cap back on the toothpaste tube, or for that matter leaving anything uncapped that has a cap... unfortunately, she who must be obeyed has a quirk that she never puts the cap back on anything and loses them as soon as they are taken off... although my desk my appear to be a mess to you, I know where everything is so please do not touch it! ...unfortunately, she who must be obeyed has a quirk of constantly wanting to tidy (although I think it's because she really wants to 'nose around' in my stuff)... if you can take the dishes to the sink, you can take them to, and put them in, the dishwasher... and if the dishwasher has clean dishes in it, you can empty it! thermostats... don't get me started but I will say this: how come the temperature you wanted it set at during the summer is too cold for you in the winter? at our house we play 'thermostat tag' in that almost every time one of us passes it we reset it... it's winter and we have tile floors! wear some socks or house slippers!

I'm glad they caught it early too sweetniKa... and even happier that you won't have to go peg shopping with mr. niKa and will be able to dance and sing and play... most of the time. The other times maybe you just need to relax and let the kids give you foot massages and wait on you hand and foot...

somebody ought to print up a boat load of "word licenses" and have them shipped to TWI...

ya know... if'n you don't like the bright yellow new years 'skin' you can change it back to the 'good ole blue' by using the little drop down thing at the bottom left hand corner... choose default skin...
