it's a mystery to me... they lose 7 of 10 and the manager has to go? when they'er in a "race"? that doesn't sound like the Doug Melvin I know from here... he's a good GM... wonder if it was ownership? (that would be the commish's daughter wouldn't it?)

A report I just heard is that there are 'more than 4.5 million people without power'... still not much up here except that they've raised gas by $.40 since yesterday at this time... and some stations are just closing so they can save their gas for tomorrow (or later) when they can raise the prices even higher... gouging... there are a lot of refugees up in this area as well...

DirecTV channel 361 has a local Houston station that is commercial free and uninterrupted coverage... Most of Houston (and SE Texas) is without power... well over a million customers... so they're probably not going to be online soon... if you know someone there and have there number you might try texting them... we're just getting some of the rain up here in DFW not much wind as we're on the west side (or will be) when it passes east of here... it's supposed to rain until tomorrow sometime...

TOO LONG!!! That's been the problem... he had Jim Lites, who is President of the Stars, 'Presidenting' both franchises... Lites is a hockey guy... that's why we're somewhat hopeful that the light at the end of the tunnel is not an oncoming train anymore... because he finally brought in a "baseball man" in the person of El Presidente Ryan... and believe it or not I think he's going to make a difference... Glanced at the list of FAs... there's a lot of age listed under "Pitcher"... and Gabe's gonna be available for some lucky team (he had a walk off the other night)...

good for you starman... for an afternoon getaway game here last week the crowd was estimated at 600... now, they're still pulling in 15k to 20k for night games even though the season has long ended... and the fans love this team... it's just the owner they're tired of... unfortunately (for the stRangers) football season has started, and this is Texas after all... but I'll be by the channel tonight for our late meeting with the subMariners...

Well, my screen is OK and now it's 9-4 and we're at bat... how do you like the 22 yo kid lefty we threw out there tonight? We think he's got a bright future, he was a call up (July I think) and has made all of his starts and improved as he's gone along... it'll be interesting to see how he does with Laird behind the plate. He usually has Salty (and does well with him) because they came up in the ATL org together... but you're right... it's only the bottom of the fourth???? ...this is gonna be a long game...

Victor Rojas is one of our announcers tonight (Cooky's son)... he was a bullpen catcher for the Marlin when Charlie Hough pitched there. He was explaining that Charlie had to teach him how to catch a knuckler (this story right after the passed ball)... he said Hough told him 'keep everything loose, your chest, your arm, your wrist, everything! ...and then just stab at it with the glove when it gets there... if you tense up you'll lock up and not be able to react fast enough" Grieve then asked him if he ever had any trouble catching him... Victor replied "only when he threw the hard one"

Sorry for the alarm... it appears to only be happening on that laptop (I'm on my other one now)... but it's weird that it only happens when I'm at GSC... They both have the full (purchased) version of Trend Micro which is supposed to be pretty good... so I guess it's an isolated problem... I've turned in a 'work ticket' with them... Thanks for your help OM!

I use Trend Micro... since Thursday PM I've been getting a pop up and quarantine "Trojan" alert... but only when I visit this GSC... doesn't happen any other place... anyone else?
