  1. you could weld rollerblade wheels to the bottom of those newfangled folding chairs that fold up into about a six inch square tube... but there's no brakes...
  2. hiway, the NYY were the team of my youth, the team that I grew up loving, living and dying with... Number 7 is still the greatest player of all time in my mind and heart... there will never be one that can take his place because it was watching him that I grew to love this game more than any other... so don't be perplexed... I wish them failure only because if they succeed they keep my home town team from winning it all, but then again I wish failure on all teams except the stRangers... I have to! :) That I find the way they handled Torre 'classless' really has nothing to do with whether I want them to fail or succeed... after all he's given them (and I know they gave him a lot of money for his services) I figured they kind of owed it to him to do it in a way other than offering him a contract they knew he wouldn't accept... they could have gone to him and asked him how he wanted to "go out"... I think they at least owed him that. He (Torre) has spent a lot of years 'biting his tongue' when he certainly would have been justified in trashing the NYY ownership but he didn't. I just feel that they owed him more... that's all.
  3. WOW OLDIES... I can't really believe that you believe this... much less typed it... it's really flabbergasting... And I vehemently dispute (as I'm sure most learned humans would) that "All men are born with a sexual predatory nature"... I'll give you "sexual nature"... but not sexual predatory that's what was told to me and I'd always heard (with the 'or')... not from all leadership, but from LCM, veepee and others...
  4. Not to mention that by your very choice of words in describing veepee's actions you try to minimalize them... excesses, you would categorize the systematic and serial raping of God's people, that he was supposed to be shepherding by the way, as excesses??? That in itself is disgusting!
  5. ahh... there's the rub DWBH! reality-based!!! You see Mike lives in reality... but it is an alternate reality to that within which we all live... if you'd really like some volumenous reading venture on down to the dungeon areas and you'll find lots and lots of "Mike's Reality"... it would be quite disconcerting if it were true but fortunately it only lives in Mike's mind... Mike hate's it when I post this, but maybe it will save you a few hours (I haven't posted this since 2006, and I hope it doesn't get this thread relegated to the dungeon): Here is the abbreviated version (Mike asked me to not use the term 'synopsis') so you won't have to lose your sight and mind reading all of his posts: Mike has stated that: PFAL is 'God's Word reissued'. Mike has stated that this means we don't need any versions of the Bible anymore, only PFAL.* Mike has stated that PFAL is the Word of God, that the Holy Spirit has provided us with His Word in written form in PFAL, and it (PFAL) carries all the authority of God Almighty. Mike has offered a 'Table of Challenge' (which he claims exposes things which some would prefer to keep hidden away) so that we may have access to his advanced abilities and approval. Mike has stated that Christ is currently learning from PFAL and will be teaching from PFAL materials when he returns. Mike has stated that betraying Dr's revelations is betraying God. Mike has stated that you just need to feed that Christ inside with the pure Word of PFAL. Mike has stated that studying PFAL will defeat death. *as of 5/3/06 Mike has now 'distanced' from that statement, however he would like the reader to know that he considers PFAL to be revelation from God and equal to the revelation from God in the Bible. These are his statements of belief that are supplied for the reader because if you ask Mike directly what his statements of belief are he will never give you a direct answer. Mike has made all of these statements on the boards here at the GSC. Mike was directly asked about every single statement, in context, at the time the statements were made. Mike has elected to never answer/address them directly with anything more than "because I said so" or "the only way you will ever know the answers is to "master" PFAL using only techniques ascribed to by Mike... and Mike will most likely treat you like a piece of dirt while doing so. Please feel free, gentle reader, to ask Mike directly about any of these. Maybe you will get a direct answer (if you do, it will be the first time). Did I mention that Mike actually believes he has a physical Christ growing inside of him? We now return you to our regularly scheduled program...
  6. WhiteDove, on that questionaire download number 1: The last question regarding abortion, there's a choice (or more) that is cut off. I'd be real interested in what all of the choices were regarding attitude towards abortion. As it reads, every one of the options are all in the realm of "it's acceptable"... none of them, unless it's the one I can't read, say "not acceptable" or "not allowed"... the one's that are visible sure 'lead' the answerer towards "it's acceptable"... and of course, this is what I was taught throughout my time in TWI from the point of "there is no life until there is 'breath life'" forward...
  7. On another note... anyone besides me think that it was (another) classless act by the NYY in the way they "let Torre go"? Of course, the line forms to the left of managers willing to take their money... Oh... and I (for one) loved it when Beckett and Lofton faced off in the middle of the diamond last night.
  8. I can't guess cuz I had to google...
  9. ahh... from his "rock and roll" First Edition days... I always thought the title was I just dropped in to see what condition my condition was in but don't know if that's it... seems awfully long for a title...
  10. I was thinking along the lines of some Woody Allen film...
  11. Suda! I'm going to have to file a HIPA violation between you and my doctor...
  12. Lindzee... you're being too hard on your guys! Beckett's stuff last night was just that electric... Beckett is among the best of the big game pitchers in MLB today (if not the best) and last night was a prime example. He can win a game by himself through pure talent and resolve. He was pitching last night on a level few have ever reached. starman... re:DiceK, I hear what your saying, I get what your saying... my response then is 'he took the money, he knew what came with it'... (cold, I know, but then I don't have to be sympathetic! :) ) Game 6: Unless Schilling can reach deep down inside and pull up some of that magik for 6 or 7 innings and pitch like he used to, like Beckett just did... I think it's "church" for the BoSox.
  13. OM... have you ever considered that maybe she 'went back a second time' becuause maybe she didn't want to believe that what happened the first time could ever happen again that maybe, just maybe (since he was the MOG) she could confront him or that he would apologize for his behavior or... or... There are a number of possibilities as to WHY she went back the second time, only she knows why she did... yet you ALWAYS automatically assume that she was going back for one reason... did you ever consider that most of the thoughts in her mind and heart were that veepee was her teacher and protector? and that she should dismiss the thoughts of evil about him? ... you have no way of knowing but since your life's mission is to defend veepee that is what you assume without considering that ultimately, always, veepee was the one in a position of authority and power over her and is entirely culpable for the act. So nice to see our resident veepee defender and our resident hitler defender joining up on this thread... tells me a lot about both of them...
  14. Our little girl's all growed up... Happening Day young Lindzee!
  15. ooh ooh... mistah kotter! is the word "maniacs" in the title?
  16. Boobs Ahoy? nah... let's see... Anna Nicole Smith Mae West Knee, Wrap, Kneecap? (cuz it's marked) Malcom X nothing's coming to mind...
  17. ya know GSG... those are great quotes... but heck, we're not that old!
  18. Sure OM... and God certainly cherishes a commitment to an organization FAR MORE than a human life... no doubt at all...
  19. To use a phrase from my way daze: That is just a lie from the pit of hell for so many reasons. YOU should be ASHAMED of yourself OM.
  20. Please quit it. NOW... back to the baseball... what happens tonight? Was there more to Francosa holding out Beckett than meets the eye? Did it have something to do with him being lifted after only 80 pitches with 'stiffness'??? Has Sabathia regained his 'moxy' to go right at the heart of the BoSox order or will he pitch defensively again? ...at least on the night off I was able to watch part 3 of "The War"... very moving. BASEBALL!!!
  21. AD, some good points there... please allow me to focus on just this little part... I care about healing, truth, honesty and those affected by ministries such as CES as well... ...as I believe many do here (including DWBH)... and it's for that reason that I'm waiting for them to come out of the shadows and expose all of this to the light. It's my firm belief that none of this, none of this would have come out if not for GS... and they'd still be scurrying around trying to keep it quiet. Their modus operandi seems to be to just hide until it all blows over... hoping people will forget and eventually forgive. (which to me is again preying on the goodness of people). My thoughts are that IF they would just come out (here at GS or on their own site or on a neutral site) and lay everything on the table and then say "here it all is, we're dumping this and we're sorry but we made a mistake and we're keeping this and moving forward and will try our best to make sure this never happens again"... then there could be cleansing, the healing could start and people could make informed decisions about their future association with CES/STF... But they seem afraid... they appear (at least to me) to be like a child that has been caught doing something they shouldn't and are doing the best they can to avoid confronting, and thereby dealing with, the wrong that they did to folks that they were supposed to be shepherding and nurturing. I don't believe that Jesus, in every case, said "go and sin no more"... I think this situation is more along the lines of Him calling them out in the middle of the temple... They need to "come clean"... publicly. They had no problems in the past putting all of this out there. They need to be just as bold, and a lot more forthcoming, in admitting the errors of their ways and then moving forward. IF they really are who they purport to be and really have the interests of God's people as their first concern... they'll do that. IF not... it appears that they just want to hide in the closet until it all blows over so they can get back to doing what they were doing before... So... back to the healing, truth, honesty... I haven't seen any of it coming from them and I haven't seen them take any steps to bring any of those three about...
  22. I'm not sure (cuz I didn't see the movie) but I think you almost have it Suda... I don't think you have the second clue though...
  23. That's it GSG... (btw, I think there's an H in front of that first word!)
  24. This should be fairly easy: R: Now, are either of you homosexuals? JW: You mean like flaming? Or part time? R: Well, it's a question we have to ask of all our new recruits. RZ: No, we're not homosexual, but we are *willing to learn*. JW: Yeah, would they send us someplace special? R: I'll just put that as a 'no'.
  25. We've been saying that about stRanger pitching for nigh on 35 years... 45 if you count the DC days... Simon, thanks for the story behind the story... hopefully they'll be back in the playoffs again in time to enjoy it together, but these things can't be taken for granted (unless you're a BoSox or NYY)... lots of youngsters on both of those NL teams... they were saying the other night that Tulo was drafted in 2005 and I think he came up for September last year... crazy, as you said there's something to be said for "aging" a bit, but sometimes (I guess) the talent demands to play... I think Tex made it in two years, but that's about the fastest I can remember around here... never in one year, not someone that stuck anyway... Hopefully they'll get back... a year older and a year wiser... hopefully... Tonight... the dreaded NO BASEBALL night... I hate it.
